Thanks for your upload, I was in there. I always want to find that memorable events. Now i get this video! This was my first time to go to NYC. Unforgettable moments already be part of my life....
A wonderful performance, but for those who are "old school," Mia Michael's choreography can be jarring, though I loved it. The over-the-knee costumes are so cool. My family has been going to Radio City since the 1930s-we live 20 minutes away on the Jersey side of the Hudson, and a close friend was a Rockette in the 1960s. So many cousins are IATSE Local 1-love the Music Hall!
No. We live just south of Boston. We try to come to NYC between Veterans Day and Christmas to catch the show. Missed last year due to illness. We always have a good time while there.
@@ken10025081 We have good friends in North Andover. Thank God they weren't affected by all those homes blowing up last year. Enjoy Boston and environs. Love visiting nearby Rockport. Great non-touristy restaurant in Boston's North End, La Famiglia Giorgio's on Salem Street-enough food to choke a horse, then cannoli and espresso at Caffé Vittoria's on Hanover, but we try to avoid Hanover-prices insane, better to go a few blocks off away from the tourists.
i love this view! i actually wish you got the whole show at this view, even though i don't know what the no video or audio situation was. was there any type of pre-show announcement?
Hi Vera. Security at the doors states no video, however still shots are allowed but no flash as it may startle the animals. I started filming once I saw all the phones come out. I shot this on my Sony SureShot from the orchestra seating area. I thought it was too close as I could not capture everything onstage. The best views are from the first or second balconies using zoom functions on your camera. Best wishes.
This is MY opinion only: So disappointed because I REALLY wanted to love this, but I could just never get into it. Unfortunately the same goes for the other clips I watched from this show, too. My sister & I used to go to the AMAZING Christmas Spectacular every year, and since that's the only show I've ever seen them perform, I guess TO ME nothing else can ever compare. That being said, I still LOVE The Rockettes and continue to be in awe of their absolute precision!!
I agree! I think most of it has to do with Mia Michael's being the director. While she's certainly a great choreographer, her style is COMPLETELY different from the old-school Rockette style that's in the Christmas Spectacular. She and the Rockettes are both great at what they do, but are not the best mix.
Thanks for watching. You will enjoy the show, I'm sure. The NYPD and their mounted patrol are highly visible around the Times Square area and are eager to welcome visitors to NYC.
I want to go see the radio city Rockettes New York spectacular 2023 and maybe see the NYPD and pet the NYPD mounted police horses if I ask permission politely
SavanasRockinWorld I saw as much as I could. Singing in the Rain is far snd away my favorite, but I also love the way the Rockettes enter the stage on the final number with the top hats. Oh the swag was too much for me! i wonder if I could convince then to take their show overseas. 😀
They are singing, but that’s not what you’re hearing. The vocal numbers are supplemented with either recorded vocals (i.e., karaoke) or off-stage singers. The girls are not mic’ed, so of course you can’t hear their singing in Radio City.
A close friend was a Rockette back in the 1960s-70s. She said they were super strict, you had to prove yourself. Just because you were a Rockette in the previous season was no guaranty you'd make it again unless you "had the stuff" to make it. Cousins were stagehands at the Music Hall-IATSE Local 1-so I got to go back stage many times, totally cool. SOBs made close to half a mill back in the day!
I want to go see the radio city Rockettes New York spring spectacular 2024 and maybe see the NYPD mounted police and pet the NYPD mounted police horses if I ask the NYPD mounted police officers 👮♀️ permission politely

From Australia here, watching the Rockettes is on my bucket list, that together with visiting NY. That's why this performance means so much to me
I cried when I watched this number live. It was just so well done and amazing. I hope they do it again next year!
i really wish you had the whole show from this view. i love this.
I really want to go see the Rockettes Christmas 🎄 spectacular on my birthday 🎂
I really wish they had a SOUNDTRACK to purchase for this show! I saw it twice. And I'd see it again!!
I agree. Thanks for watching.
I would love 💗 to see all of the rockettes Christmas spectacular shows and New York spectacular shows

I want to go see the rockettes 2021 Christmas spectacular next year

@@ken10025081 ayee I’m south of Boston too!
can someone tell me if they sell the cd? i loved the music
No they don’t, wish they did.
However, they did release a cd of the Christmas Spectacular back in 1990s. It’s outdated but the closest thing for what you are looking for.

That looks so complicated.
melodramatic7904 if you think that's complicated, you should see the rest of the show 😂

@@robstockton2463 well, that definitly didn't sound like taylor swift to me.
wonder what their employee hand book is like. weight gain, conditioning, appearance, time off, family, children.....
I imagine their rules are strict as they are so disciplined while on stage. They are so talented. Thanks for watching and have a great holiday season.
