This game formed my whole taste in cars. I got it when i was 7 and played it a ton on our old PC that was for the whole family. I loved the cars and the special paintjobs. And the voice of the guy talking is also great : 2:53 safe to say that if we had police cars like that in real life, there would be no shortage in police men anymore.
I had when i was 10 (was born in 93). First the demo, then we were borrowing for 1 week the full game (in brussels you could do that). As you, it shaped my taste of cars. Every car looked so precious and unique. Well designed. No tuning, just original cars and police cars. The best nfs game for me. You progressed step by step. Lotus, then jaguar, mercedes, BMW M5, then Z4...quite slowly as i recall.. I pursued this type of game in the PGR (project Gotham racing). Not as good as hot Pursuit 2 of course
I always loved how the car models look so good and shiny in-menu and very different during gameplay, leaning more toward a matte finish. Such a fresh looking UI and selection menus even after all this time.
The PS2 version has better car models and high details, while the GameCube version has car models that lack details, reflections, glossiness, just to name a few.
@@TabletZombieStop the cap lol, the PS2 version might be better in terms of gameplay, but the car models DO NOT look better (HSV Coupé or the Carrera GT LOL)
While both versions are flawed games, but there's one thing EA Seattle did right: more police cars (we always wanted a police Diablo like in the famous opening).
This game create me as a man and a person, I love every single thing about this game. I start playing this when I was 5 and my father showed me this game, today I’m 20 and I love cars and my preferences about cars looks is build on cars that are in this game.❤❤❤
Many of these vehicles like the M5 were electronically limited, their real top speed was way beyond 250 Km/h but they were were dangerous to drive beyond that point.
I completely agree, the PS2 version is far better! The Other version does have more cop cars, but only the PS2 version has the Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge!
@@stephen_lucidoPS2 version was developed by the legendary BlackBox studio, this was their first NFS game and what an introduction to a legendary era.
The EA Seattle Version only had 2 cops if you had 2 stars & higher and maybe 1 cop that chases another car, and 2 roadblock cops. Not many cop cars if you ask me & they'll only call for roadblock once, not like the PS2 version
The f1 lm go from 0-60 in 2.8s and has a top speed of 360km/h That is a big mistake..... in this game the lm version is slower, the lm is a track focused version so it should be the best version...
Was my first Nfs game 🗿❤️
My fourth game after Colin McRae Rally 2, NFS2SE and NFS3 Hot Pursuit
And it was the best of nfs games
Mine is too
Same

only in Dubai they do. one time i got to witness a Smart car that was a police vehicle 🤣🤣
IT OFFERS IMPROVED ACCELERATION AND A SLIGHTLY HIGHER TOP SPEED !!! 💪😠
11 year me: 😮👹
Me when i reached the F1 but still it says that

No one talk about how gorgeous CLK GTR
That was my go-to car on shorter tracks. Had amazing acceleration and handling. Top speed could be overcome though by the McLaren
If I had a dollar for everytime the announcer says “slightly higher top speed” I’d be a billionaire by now
You could also throw in the amount of times he says “improved acceleration” for an extra billion.
it offers improved acceleration and a slightly higher too speed ❤
NFS Editions 🎉😊
I could quote half of these for years lol
my first NFS🥺❤
Same mine is too
Mine was NFS 3
I used to LOVE that Porsche Carrera GT! always chose that car for my races. oh man the nostalgia!
Porsche Carrera GT... I'll never forget the day we hit the wall, my friend.😂😂😂😢
RIP Brian
This game is what cemented my taste for exotics and what has been a life long obsession with cars.

The Dodge Viper
Always get chills
it sounds so awesome 2:53
That voice gives me goosebumps to this day
it literally was a legend in the making
@xenophon8958 and now it supposedly coming back.
NFS Edition difference is Performance and Color & Vinyls
For Example
6:53 7:05 7:17
Black Box version's NFS Edition cars look better.
PS2 version of the game had better NFS Edition cars. And they used the racing version of CLK-GTR instead of the Strassenversion

Jim Conrad Acted on the car showcase
Back when McLaren F1 was the undisputed GOAT 🔥🔥🔥
Many of these vehicles like the M5 were electronically limited, their real top speed was way beyond 250 Km/h but they were were dangerous to drive beyond that point.
Porsche 911 Turbo my Dream car!
The fact they put a falcon AU and a Holden Monaro in this game puts a smile on my face
NFS usually had an Aussie car or two in the roster. Was good to see something more familar!
@@SonofthePhantom shame that the Aussies no longer have domestic manufacturing anymore. Those cars were the shit!
@@djmohab2 yeah, darn shame that.
my three favourite cars are clk gtr, opel speedster and the Lamborghini murcielago
This game is the reason the Murcielago is still my undisputed favourite super car
My favorite Lamborghini model since i played the game.
@@ArmandDark09 The Diablo SV are from the first game, on Hot Pursuit 2 its the VT 6.0 version.
A small quick warning: It seems that the Lamborghini Murcielago’s drivability is completely broken when reaching high gears.
i remember playing this on my ps2 like it was yesterday
The F1LM 😍
I miss when Need For Speed was a game for car enthusiasts and not a “The Fast and the Furious: The Game” wannabe.
Take a shot every time the announcer introduces an NFS version of any car
11:19 this is the cop everyone feared
love this game 😍
I remember the explanation says that the McLaren F1 iz the fastest production car ever (at the time) i was looking for that
Its really just gold and my first nfs (ps 2 version)
That diablo in purple was my go to
Lamborghini Murcielago fav game ❤️✨
wow seeing the nfs versions again is just pure nostalgia.
Good👍
Que bueno que la unidad de medida este en Km/h.
Is this a remaster or something??? Looks different than the one I played as a kid on the PS2
This is the PC version, the one on the PS2 was quite a bit different
Why did Vauxhall and opel Speedster look exactly same
Vauxhall is more or less Opel under another brand. E.g. I think in the UK, there is no Opel, just Vauxhall)
It’s the same car. Vauxhall was sold to the UK market, Opel is sold to the rest of Europe
Hhmmmmm, GM Group Maybeee...,,,
Same thing happened in NFS 2015, where they put all 3 versions of 1 car. (Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S, Toyota 86)
Make this but with the background music
He can't due of copyright strike.
You know i realized I never unlocked the barcatta
I Know The PC Version Sucks, But The One Thing It Did Right Is More Cop Cars.
Is not bad at all.
why did it suck compared to console?
7:34 gee I wonder why that car doesn’t have it’s own description
The Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge Version (Exclusive to PS2 version) had its own description.
oh wow the ps2 lacks when it comes to police cars💀
Great game
Vaxhall and opel together bruh its the same thing which i mean i choose vaxhall
It’s like how in Need For Speed (2015) where they put the 3 versions of 1 car. (Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S, Toyota 86)
Tbh I dont feel the difference of the NFS version compared to the regular one 😅😅
Different color scheme.
Lamborghini diablo 💜💜
Que versión es ésta? Game Cube o Xbox?
PC version, which is the same on Xbox and Gamecube.
@@Blue_Y2K6167 Gracias bro

Lotus Elise. Not Tesla Roadster.

I think they did it for balancing purposes.
@@akl4499Maybe but that still sucks
True but then the fastest cops can't catch it and it'll be too op compared to the other racer cars in its class.
the F1LM had better cornering, but capped at 189mph in the original game I played.
