Warning: This episode has some wonky audio. Behold the power of VHS.

24:35 Ooh, this bump's not online! There's another like this that features the Screen Savers crew a TechTV compilation, but this features X-Play, Unscrewed, Robot Wars, and the anime they've aired.
god bless this channel's existence
newspooiechannel you are the fucking best. reliving my childhood every weekend
Thank you
Love spooie
Love unscrewed
The viewer mail... People thought RE4 would be a GameCube exclusive, but in the Fall, the news came that it would be ported over to the PS2. But apparently, it was originally developed as a PS2 game.
Loved that need for speed zinger by adam I actually remember him saying that.
Look at the entire cast crew of X-Play in that DDR Review. I see Blair Butler (the head writer) in there. Also, great use of Michael Jackson's Beat It, when Morgan made her entrance.
Thank you Spooie, very cool!
Was it ever explained why they had those random black and white shots in each episode in the techtv era? Did it just look cool to them?
How else are you supposed to go to commercial break without a black and white shot as the camera nods off?
Gothic 2 for the PC is a excellent sequel. 😀👍🎮
Audio messed up on this on. Can hardly hear anything on right side of headphone
vhs tape
Huh, why does Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 sound familiar to me? OH YEAH, this is the game that had a really weird glitch involving currency all because instead of keeping the Japnaese currency, they translated to the american money, and said money had a limit that the original version didn't have. Yeah.
0:00 I wonder why Unscrewed with Martin Sargent didn’t last as long as AOTS
He did not like the G4TechTV merger, and even infamously ranted about it once on air, which G4 were SUPRISINGLY cool with.
As I recall, G4 was obligated to retain a specific percentage of TechTV's shows to meet sort of FCC regulation to allow them to merge the channels. Unscrewed was brought over because he was in the target audience for what they wanted their demographic to be (as in, he was still under 30 at the time). But G4 never intended to keep the show. They had to hold on to it just long enough to meet the requirements, so his show, along with many other shows and on-air personalities, were let go at the end of 2004. G4's stance was that the show was too adult for the audience they wanted to reach. Of course, that would prove to be nonsense as they brought over reruns of The Man Show a year later.
@@mesousagaby740 I was under the impression that Unscrewed's ratings on G4 came in very low. From what I could gather G4's Vice President Vinnie Longobardo and CEO Charles Hirschorn clashed over it, and after Longobardo left, Unscrewed had no future on G4. And also from what I could gather, the only reason why it was even on G4 was because Paul Block, the executive producer, convinced them to keep it. Block was also executive producer of the live program The Screen Savers, which G4 wanted to get as many game designers and celebrities on as possible, something Player$ and Icons were failing to do.
@@VahanNisanian Ah, that might be it. Maybe they just didn't get the appeal of a late night show to themselves.
@@mesousagaby740 does anybody have that episode?
