@@simply_jenniegreat video Jennie❤ not me going through the comment section to get answers… So it takes a year for visa processing for those of us coming from Nigeria? What other pathways can be explored please?
You got your appointment after 6 months? Did you have to defer your admission to avoid resuming late because of the waiting time to get the visa after the appointment?
Sorry for asking, it you don't have a recommendation letter you can't apply? By the way I have CAE (Cambridge ) certificate instead of YELTS, I knew its accepted in Europe, but maybe in German it doesn't apply?
Hi, somit depends on your university’s entry requirements, most school specify on their website what the requirements are for each department. So far I have seen only 2 English proficiency tests, IELTs/TOEFL exams but be sure to check the university’s website. In my current programme I did not use a recommendation letter however in my first programme I had to submit one so it varies

Hello 👉🏾For Winter Semester: Application Period: Generally starts on May 1 and ends on July 15. Some programs may have earlier deadlines, especially competitive ones. 👉🏾For Summer Semester: Application Period: Typically opens on December 1 and closes on January 15. Similar to the winter semester, some programs might have different deadlines.
Hi Ruth, Good Day please for someone who wants to be in Germany by this time next year what will be your suggestion? Though i haven't started any preparation yet what's the best "roadmap", considering the 1year wait for visa appointment... Should I quickly get IELTS sorted and apply for Summer semester? Or what do you suggest please I would really appreciate a response from you, Thank you
Hello, if you have not started your application and you don’t have a scholarship or a first class, then waiting period is 18 months if you are applying from Nigeria. This means that this time next year might not be a possibility. Start by applying for IELTs and gathering all the required documents eg transcripts from your university. Then, if you able to do this by December, you can apply in January for the summer semester which can be differed till next summer semester 2026 (if you are not in category A) while you wait for your visa
Hello🤗, like I said in the video you can find them on www.mastersportal.com Germany has a lot of opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers, the amount of opportunities open to individuals is largely determined by ability to speak the German language, area of expertise and skills. Most tech roles especially in international companies with branches in Germany employ people who are native English speakers but usually advancement in career is also dependant of your communication ability
@@simply_jennieAs a German employer I would phrase the need for the language more like this: If you can not talk to my local customers your chances for a good job are a lot worse than for other immigrants that put a lot of effort into learning the local language
@@wora1111 Yes, I quite agree with you on this point particularly if the company serves German customers predominantly then learning the local language is a great way to integrate with the local culture and understand the people even better, not just for better professional relations but personal relationships too. On the other hand, I do think that companies who are more opened to people who do not speak the German language but have the willingness to learn can benefit from diverse talents, perspectives and experiences. As someone who cannot speak the language fluently I will forever be grateful to employers who have given me opportunities to gain working experience and learn the language while doing it😊
@@simply_jennie You misunderstood me. Hello, Sorry to hear about your ordeal with agents. It’s always best to handle this things yourself I will advise you apply to a bachelors program instead of a masters degree because you may have a similar challenge applying to Germany for a masters degree with HND

For the visa application the processing time for category B is 1.5 years(if you are in this bracket, it’s best to apply as soon as you start your application to universities), if you have a first class or scholarship it’s less than a month(if you are in this category wait till you have your blocked account sorted and have a few months before resumption) Hope this helps! Jennieeeeee ooooo Plz come to my rescue. i need help, please. So I'm stuck on the uniassist application portal. Please, i have some questions. First off, when submitting my documents on the uniassist platform, are scanned copy enough? And do i need to go to the Ministry of Education to do any form of verification? Cos i saw a place where they said it would be authenticated. Secondly, can i get the english proficiency letter from my school in place of IELTS? Thirdly, did you apply via uniassist? Fourthly, what common mistakes can i avoid using uniassist?
Hello David👋 1. Yes, scanned copies(coloured) will work if the documents are stamped by the issuing authorities(your university,WAEC etc), if not stamped, you need to get them notarised but a public notary( a notary lawyer). In some cases the universities will explicitly ask that your documents be sent via post to uni-assist in this instance you ideally should ask your school to send it directly to the address provided(in the case of a transcript) you do not need to notarised this document because it can be checked directly with your university 2. What documents are you referring to? 3. It depends, it is better you use the examination body requested by your university which is usually IELTs or TOEFL iBT tests so you don’t run into issues later during verification (this tests can be easily verified by your university or uniassist) 4. Yes, I have made both partial and full applications via uni assist 5. I would say just take care with your document categorisation, naming and scanning so that way they are quickly approved. Ensure you read the universities requirements properly and submit the right documents. Hope this helps, let me know if you run into any other issues I’ll try my best to help out!
Hello, I think you should think in terms of opportunities. Major cities like Berlin, Munich, Hamburg etc are quite expensive and accommodation is also hard to find but the opportunities especially if you don’t understand German is a lot more. Smaller german towns that are farther from this major cities might be cheaper to live in but again the opportunities for non german speakers are also limited, plus you might not get as much with amenities like comfortable transport or even social environments etc. The best solution is to look out for universities that are in towns closer to big cities(1 hr away) eg Ingolstadt is an hour from Munich….I hope this helps
Hello. Please when do you think is the best time to apply to a university for my masters if I iust booked for an appointment under category B which takes a year plus?
Hi Diana, now would be a great time😅you can apply for the winter semester this year and then defer to next winter….this is because you might get an visa interview invite early next year and your application will only be valid if you have been admitted to a German university
Hello, if you are applying for a masters program you need to apply via uniassist (you need to apply a month before application officially opens on the 2nd of may) for a VPD by sending your transcript from your bachelor’s programme
If you are applying to an English program you need your IELTs(English proficiency) >6.0 I believe…if you are applying to a masters program in German you need to take a proof of German proficiency test up to B2 language proficiency at least All further details can be found here www.thi.de/en/studies/application/masterapplication-from-abroad/
@@simply_jenniewhat are the tips that you would help me get accepted in thi like is it more about marks or my CV and is it easy to find a job in ingolstadt
@@ABERKANEMONTASSIR Your grade is very important because the number of students accepted is limited to less than 30 per semester Your experience does not matter as much in a lot of degree programmes, the goal of the CV is basically just to have an overview of your in-school and extracurricular activities including work experience and internships…regardless put in your best effort when you prepare it. Yes! there are student ‘help/lager’ jobs in Ingolstadt but with regard to ease of getting one, I do not know cause I never applied to any. Getting a work-student role at a standard office is not the easiest and a lot of time you need experience and knowledge of the German language. Hope this helps, good luck!

Because 2 months completed. If your opinion visa approval or rejected??? And emmbasy asked that you will be contacted as soon as your application has been decided they telling.
Hi, the VPD means Vorprüfungsdokumentation which translates to preliminary review documentation. It basically means that uni assist checks your transcripts and converts it to the German grading system (1-5 points_1 means excellent and 5 means very poor) and informs you based on the universities requirements whether or not you qualify… This way the German universities spends less time converting and checking it

Hello👋
I figured you have already sent a mail to the university, please also send an email to the programme adviser as well, ideally you should get a faster response.
Although, If you sent the documents in before the deadline then you should not have a problem it will most likely be processed and corrected. Good luck, Let me know how it goes

I offered Medical laboratory science in one university in Ghana and I want to do my masters in Germany but I can’t find any masters program relating to that on the websites you recommended. Can you please help me?
DAAD.de is the most up to date database for school search as far as I know, an alternative is to search for a program that is very closely related to your program
Are letters of recommendation compulsory in the application process?
Hello, so what is compulsory depends on your university but have it ready as most universities in Germany actually asks for it
Thank you for the video it is really an eye opener.
Few questions please.

Alternatively you can search on the universities website or visit your students office for possible leads.
Keep your fingers crossed because getting accommodation is quite tasking💪🏾

Wat are the states that do not require blocked account for visa renewal
God will bless you. This is so detailed 😊. The money in the blocked account, what happens to it? Can you return it back if you loaned it from someone?
Hello, sorry for the late response.
Thank you! the blocked account money will be split into 12 and paid back to you each month for one year.
Yes, you can pay it back if you borrowed it but it’s really not advisable as it might take a while to find a job so during that period you might be dependant on the blocked account money
Hello Jennie , pls what are the required Documents for MSc programs?

Hello, unfortunately B2 level might not be adequate to study especially programs with their own special terminologies like nursing, medicine, etc. you can try but sincerely it would not be easy.
A friend did a full year of intensive German learning before resuming at the university for studies.
Can you apply for visa without having admission letter, proof of funds(blocked account) and the likes? Then submit them later when they’re available?
Yes, you can apply but please have them available by the time you go in for your visa interview.
Please for a university in Germany that requires you to send your application via post, how do you certify those documents?
Hello, so sorry for the very late response.
You would have to get a notary lawyer to certify the documents for you, search for notary lawyer in (name of city) and you should get some recommendations on Google.
Hope this helps, thanks for your patience
Please can I use bank statement instead to apply for masters program instead of the block account required.

Hello, yes I currently study in English.
Check out DAAD.de or mastersportal.com and set the filter to English program.
You got your appointment after 6 months? Did you have to defer your admission to avoid resuming late because of the waiting time to get the visa after the appointment?

Hi, somit depends on your university’s entry requirements, most school specify on their website what the requirements are for each department.
So far I have seen only 2 English proficiency tests, IELTs/TOEFL exams but be sure to check the university’s website.
In my current programme I did not use a recommendation letter however in my first programme I had to submit one so it varies

Please when does admissions for master programme in Germany opens for 2025
Hello
👉🏾For Winter Semester:
Application Period: Generally starts on May 1 and ends on July 15. Some programs may have earlier deadlines, especially competitive ones.
👉🏾For Summer Semester:
Application Period: Typically opens on December 1 and closes on January 15.
Or what do you suggest please
I would really appreciate a response from you, Thank you
Hello, if you have not started your application and you don’t have a scholarship or a first class, then waiting period is 18 months if you are applying from Nigeria.
Thanks for your content. What’s the name of your University?
You are welcome, Technical Hochschule Ingolstadt
Can you list a few chemical ms colleges and can you kindly throw some light on the job market there
Hello🤗, like I said in the video you can find them on www.mastersportal.com
Germany has a lot of opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers, the amount of opportunities open to individuals is largely determined by ability to speak the German language, area of expertise and skills.
Most tech roles especially in international companies with branches in Germany employ people who are native English speakers but usually advancement in career is also dependant of your communication ability
@@simply_jennie ok thankyou ♥️
I do not expect fluency, but I want to see that an applicant is willing to put In the necessary effort to learn the language of the country she/he decided to live in. Contracts, leases, announcements always will be in the local language. What would you suggest for me to do?
Hello,
Sorry to hear about your ordeal with agents. It’s always best to handle this things yourself
I will advise you apply to a bachelors program instead of a masters degree because you may have a similar challenge applying to Germany for a masters degree with HND
Please sis, what about undergraduate ❤🙏
Hello, I am currently doing a masters program and as such I cannot speak so much into that topic.
Do you have a specific question ?
for the visa to germany should we also translate the documents in german language or english is acceptable ?
English is very much accepted unless stated otherwise by your university
Hi, Is the NECO Certificate acceptable?
Hi dear, please how fast the you get your student visa?
After my interview, about a month
should we apply for visa before getting our uni addmission letter for student coming from africa?
Hi, I can only speak for Nigeria specifically so please check the student visa application process in your area and factor it in to your application.
For the visa application the processing time for category B is 1.5 years(if you are in this bracket, it’s best to apply as soon as you start your application to universities), if you have a first class or scholarship it’s less than a month(if you are in this category wait till you have your blocked account sorted and have a few months before resumption)
Hope this helps! Sorry for the late response.
So if u re under some sort of scholarship, it's there a need to still provide blocked accounts
No there is no need for a blocked account if you have a DAAD scholarship for instance

Plz come to my rescue. i need help, please.
Hello David👋
1. Yes, scanned copies(coloured) will work if the documents are stamped by the issuing authorities(your university,WAEC etc), if not stamped, you need to get them notarised but a public notary( a notary lawyer). In some cases the universities will explicitly ask that your documents be sent via post to uni-assist in this instance you ideally should ask your school to send it directly to the address provided(in the case of a transcript) you do not need to notarised this document because it can be checked directly with your university
2. What documents are you referring to?
3. It depends, it is better you use the examination body requested by your university which is usually IELTs or TOEFL iBT tests so you don’t run into issues later during verification (this tests can be easily verified by your university or uniassist)
4. Yes, I have made both partial and full applications via uni assist
5. I would say just take care with your document categorisation, naming and scanning so that way they are quickly approved. Ensure you read the universities requirements properly and submit the right documents.
Hope this helps, let me know if you run into any other issues I’ll try my best to help out!
@@simply_jennie thank you so much
Hey am African planning to apply for masters at a public university.which city is affordable for students interms of accommodation etc?
I also have to add that I am sorry for the late response!🤗
Hi can you please tell me how to apply to th ingolstadt and what are the factors that help me get accepted
Hello, if you are applying for a masters program you need to apply via uniassist (you need to apply a month before application officially opens on the 2nd of may) for a VPD by sending your transcript from your bachelor’s programme
If you are applying to an English program you need your IELTs(English proficiency) >6.0 I believe…if you are applying to a masters program in German you need to take a proof of German proficiency test up to B2 language proficiency at least
All further details can be found here

@@simply_jenniewhat are the tips that you would help me get accepted in thi like is it more about marks or my CV and is it easy to find a job in ingolstadt
@@ABERKANEMONTASSIR Your grade is very important because the number of students accepted is limited to less than 30 per semester
Your experience does not matter as much in a lot of degree programmes, the goal of the CV is basically just to have an overview of your in-school and extracurricular activities including work experience and internships…regardless put in your best effort when you prepare it.
Yes! there are student ‘help/lager’ jobs in Ingolstadt but with regard to ease of getting one, I do not know cause I never applied to any.
Getting a work-student role at a standard office is not the easiest and a lot of time you need experience and knowledge of the German language.

Because 2 months completed. If your opinion visa approval or rejected??? And emmbasy asked that you will be contacted as soon as your application has been decided they telling.
Hello, the visa processes can be quite different depending on your location
Where are you applying from?
After the Bachelor degree is it possible to get Masters in Germany even without experience?
Yes, that’s very possible…some people do that instead of looking for a full time role.
can you explain to me more about vpd?
Hi, the VPD means Vorprüfungsdokumentation which translates to preliminary review documentation.
It basically means that uni assist checks your transcripts and converts it to the German grading system (1-5 points_1 means excellent and 5 means very poor) and informs you based on the universities requirements whether or not you qualify…
This way the German universities spends less time converting and checking it
