I have read that Magnolia leaves can be used like Indian Almond leaves for betta fish tanks...is that true? and can Magnolia wood be used in tanks as well like driftwood?
Technically you could. I'm against doing so for 3 reasons: (1) It would make disinfecting your leaves a lot harder because they won't withstand baking or boiling as well as air-dried leaves, (2) It seems destructive to the plant and (3) Due to the high moisture content in fresh leaves, your fresh leaves will decompose a lot faster than air-dried leaves.
You take so much care in selecting the leaves & boiling them properly.... I bet you can teach me how to make a mean pot of greens 💚💚💚
I don't eat greens , ewwww
Great video. I had hoped to find a way to make my own leaf litter and this explains the process from start to finish. Thank You.
fantastic video - thanks for the info!

When it comes to the aquatic world I am completely a novice. Did you figure out the answer to these questions?
Can you collect them from the trees

Mila Amira oh I was meaning trim the plant then allow it to dry before continuing the process as normal ?
@@CynaRed im really not sure. i dont think there would be anything harmful in doing it that way. The process might take longer 🤷🏾♀️
Mila Amira okay thanks
Microwave the leaf fresh of the plant for 30 seconds and if its not dry do it for another 30 seconds I do that
