Friends, if we followers of Jesus should have a full understanding of what is given us so lovingly from God through Jesus, we will study His words fervently and would be knowledgeable and will have no fear of events that occurs in the world. We will be so happy waiting for our deliverance from this world of sin.
Because there has been so much CONFUSION in our Church since the Evangelical Conferences of 1957-59 and the publishing of the book Questions On Doctrine, very shortly after, very few SDA are literate on the Sanctuary Service teaching which is requisite to a clear and connected understanding of the teaching of the Cleansing of the sanctuary and the investigative judgment which is the pivotal part of this sanctuary cleansing process. Prior to these Conferences the Sanctuary Service was taught in all of our schools beginning with the elementary level and ending with post graduate studies. (I have copies of such texts to prove it.) An enemy has done it. This study needs to be restored to its significance in order for us to contine to truly call ourselves Seventh-day Adventists. It is what distinguishes us as a denominated people.
Hi Edith, we understand what you are saying and it is true that the level of biblical literacy has significantly dropped on this topic. However, the message has never been removed. All can access it. I wonder whether this decline has more to do with a greater lack of interest in biblical studies than anything else among Adventists. The truth has not gone away, but our undivided attention seems to have. We just pray that those who want to understand the word of God will find the time to dedicate themselves to studying it. I think you both did a reasonably good job, (Collen with the questions and Pedro with the answers) considering the limited time for the study. This is a topic that needs to be more deeply studied because of its grave importance. Pastor Stephen Bohr can help with this. So can Walter Veith. Both are available on UA-cam by search.

One was the cleansing of the sanctuary and the second was the initiation of the investigative judgment this investigative judgment, which was conducted primarily for the heavenly bodies. The Investigative Judgment is NOT an event that happened in the past. It is an event that is currently IN PROGRESS. It has to do only with the people who claim to be followers of Jesus to determine whether they were for real or genuine followers of His. It started with the dead and continues on with the living ending right before Jesus' return because when He comes He brings His reward with Him. His reward is eternal life for those who are true followers or eternal death for the pretenders and rebellious.
Hi Sandra, and thanks for your question. The cleansing of the sanctuary in heaven has to do with the removal of sin in the universe through the work of Jesus according to the earthly pattern. This is the language used within the context of the day of atonement which is a figure of what Jesus is doing in heaven. That is the reason for speaking about the cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary.
