Yohio is a Swedish guy who is really into Japanese culture. He is decently famous here in Sweden by now. Mostly famous for participating in a lot of national TV shows

Cool to see Yohio here, that was unexpected. He also participated in the 2022 season of Masked Singer here in Sweden, but the costume made us believe that he was a female mermaid at first :D He's also participated in the national pre-competition to Eurovision called "Melodifestivalen". //Cheers from Sweden

Visual Kei is a japanese punk movement that often involves crossdressing or androgenous band members inspired by artists like Freddy Mercury and Kiss, it's existed since the late 80's and reached it's peak in the 90's and early 2000's mostly amongst teenagers.

I think you're accidentally spreading misinformation here. I can't find any information about either Yohio or Tokio Hotel suggesting any form of collaboration even. Maybe you're confusing "Tokio Hotel" and "Heartbreak Hotel"?
@@ratmforthewin He was a member in a band before but the right band was called Seremedy, and Yohio was the guitarist and did backing vocals. Other members of the band was Seike, Ray, JENZiiH and Linder. I saw them live once at an anime convention in Uppsala as an opening act for another Visual kei band called Versailles, they were from Japan :) Yohio took inspiration from other visual kei bands who crossdressed and the style is clearly inspired by the harajuku street style called Sweet lolita. Funny fact is that Yohios father is a guitarist in a rock band called CORRODED and if its not enough so is the fathers brother a member of the popular band Takida :O

A great singer and a great song, finding him dressing like this is way too creepy an cringe. Which is why I avoid ever wanting to watch anything like this. I’ll listen to his music and I’ll like it but I just do not watch this kinda video, It takes away judging a song properly when this imagery is thrown at you , just spoils it for me….

@@jmurray2018 sure is annoying a simple google search and find out Kawaii metal has been mainstream for decades. Yohio's father taught him guitar which is why he's epic at it and often does Kawaii.... way before simple americans had a brain fart about it
