This is the BEST handbag video I’ve watched! And I’ve been watching a lot!!! Your collection is a perfect reflection of you! 💖. I can’t take my eyes off your sparkly pink and purple bags!
The last lesson you mentioned and learned from is so true, Amelia. Before I realized that I was suffering from depression, I would shop. It was really bad because I worked so many years in retail. The employee discount was an enabler, too, lol. I bought for me and family. That was 24 years ago. It took me a while to realize this and I am in therapy. I still have to be mindful about spending; thankfully, I am retired, I do consume channels like your wonderful one. However, I can only afford the low luxe brands and luxury fragrances in the travel sizes. Great video. Sorry for the book I’m leaving you!
Some of the best advice, every one of them, I have ever heard. Thank you I needed to hear it. I want an LV agenda/planner and I have almost bought something else to save a few dollars. You are 100% right, I won’t be happy with anything else! As for my bags I love Prada and I’m not making any excuses anymore!
Amelia, BRAVO! I wish more luxury UA-camrs would speak about this topic in depth (& continue to speak about it)! As someone who has recently started earning enough money to be able to freely purchase & enjoy luxury items - I feel like I've fallen prey to EVERY SINGLE topic you've spoken about in this video! I've had to really sit myself down & talk to myself about these topics, so to hear someone who has been a part of the luxury world for a while speaking about it really helps!
As a 6’3” dude getting nasty looks browsing purses in Coach, I fully agree with the “just be yourself” point. Miserable people are going to be miserable no matter what you do, so don’t limit yourself on their account. (Also the point about patience. This hobby is really teaching me to be more patient, which I’m not historically great at.)
Loved everything about this video! I can relate to all the points but the one that I relate extra to is the point about not buying the inexpensive version when you want the expensive one. 9.9 times out of 10 I end up buying the one I want in addition to the one I didn’t want. I’m trying to get better and be patient to get what I truly desire. Thanks for sharing!
The first one applies to travel too but I never hear it mentioned in that sphere (on UA-cam) - oh man oh man, the amount of times I’ve went away because of a “deal” instead of holding out for where I want to go or stayed in a hotel I know I didn’t vibe with because it was cheaper & it was just off. Tbh now I’d stay one night less to get the hotel I want if I have to, I know that sounds insane to people but if I can’t relax at night or when I need to take an hour to chill, it’s north with it!
I agree, i will try to always go to a hotel i like, my husband will tell me- sure we're hardly in the room- but if i feel more at peace, it is worth it
This resonated with me. I was influenced in buying a Channel Flap bag. Everyone was saying how it is the best bag ever. Well, I hated it. The bag did not work for me at all. For years I tried to like it. I thought there was something wrong with me, not the bag. I finally accepted the fact that I need a top handle bag that can also be worn crossbody without the chains digging into my shoulder.
Great video and honest words. I think I kind of know this deep down but putting it into words gives a proper perspective on this. Really enjoyed this and thank you!
This is a great video. When you watch these bag videos and are deciding what your next bag should be you can get FOMO looking at everyone collections. I almost bought a classic flap which I never really liked after my sister bought one and everyone on the tubes has at least one in their collection. But I was able to resist and it was not easy…sometimes it still creeps up on me. My new rule is to try my best to fight impulse purchases which means I have to wait 8 weeks before I can pull the trigger and I have to have the actual cash in my shopping savings account x2 before I can buy it. No more straight credit card purchases. Also since I am at slightly over 50 bags I’m making 50 my limit so something has to go before I can add anything new. SO now I am sitting on my birthday bag from January still in the box and original packaging while I decide what needs to go before I can officially add my new bag to the rotation. Yes we are a bit crazy about our bags but hey…as long as we are intentional, still hitting our financial goals and they are bringing us joy why not enjoy!
Great video. I have definitely fallen for the influenced bags. And I’ve fallen for FOMO. When I first started buying luxury bags years ago the prices weren’t as high as they are now, still expensive but nothing like they are now. When I first found luxury UA-cam videos it was my first time to see huge bag collections. I couldn’t get enough videos of unboxing or new releases and reviews. I loved it. Before I knew it I started getting a huge collection of bags. Now I’m not influenced to buy bags from influencers who were gifted bags. I just buy my style and what works for me. I have been shopping my closet and I’m going to enjoy what I have for now.
I agree with all of it very well said. Before buying a car to drive in I bought an expensive Pomeranian puppy along with designer bags and if I didn’t have someone in my ear telling me off about it I would’ve never felt any regret at all. I love people who’s priorities are beauty and happiness over practicality. When you long/urn for something to make you happy the other necessities will fall into place because humans are strong and our instinct of survival is in matched. Have a great day Amelia love the videos as always I listlen to you while I chop wood outside and it gets me through the pile thank you.
Great advice. I think about my spending over the course of my life and there is one peice of advice I would have given myself back in my 20s and repeated over the years. Do not aspirational shop. Shop for the life you have, not the one you wish you had. Would have saved myself tons of money spent on things I admired while it stat in my closet or on my shelf but never used much. Now that I am older, things have aligned and I buy what I love and what I love is what serves me in my day to day life.
thank you for the advice. I want mint CF in medium from 21C, however all that has been in the preloved market are minis or smalls. there was a small at an amazing deal, but i dont like a small, i need my sunglasses with case to fit and also i dont like how little it looks. yes im petite but i just dont like how it looks. and tell me why i was over here contemplating buying the small when it came up for sale. so glad i took a step back and kept telling myself of all the things why i dont like a small and didnt buy it. i know my medium will come around.
Loved #8 very insightful- lesson I’m learning … but has been so difficult to not get bogged down with other peoples opinions 😣 I’ve regretted selling bags for this reason and been held back from wearing bags for this reason as well 😣 I’ve got to just be courageous enough to let myself be myself when it comes to wearing and enjoying my bags
Nobody dictates what I buy or don't buy. I have been ridiculed about what I spend my money on. I, in turn judge people who buy things and put themselves in debt. If they wanna dish it out, they should be able to take it.
Good points! I buy what I love now without thinking "oh but I already own a pink tote, I should buy a more neutral colour to get more wear out of it" 😂 not gonna happen
I hate when ppl do that to me, i bought couple items that I didn’t like at the first place, when i started buying luxury items, I was almost forced to get it, eventually I learnt to say no to them, they even got mad at me lol then I have to remind them I’m the one paying for it and using it not you.

Thank you!
Thank you for pointing out “you don’t need to apologize”. Yes people be yourselves.
Be yourself!

I have no patience, I get the frustration!

OMG I’m going through this right now regarding settling for a different bag 😂 why are like this 😂

Love You Amelia & This Bag Therapy Session!!!
Thank you!
Dayle’s video about luxury in the workplace was so good and came from a perspective that I hadn’t seen before on UA-cam.
It was a fantastic video

Block out the noise, noise, NOISE! 🤩 Embrace the bling! 💎✨
Exactly!

That bag is definitely not for everyone

I make these kind of rules for myself as well!

I'm shopping my own closet for a while now as well
Great video and lighting seems better 😃
Yay, thank you!

Thank you so much, good luck with the wood!
STUNNING ring, thanks for sharing. I've just ordered mine!
Congratulations!

Great advice, i call this my fantasy life
A great video! I have also learned these lessons the hard way! 🧐
I’m right with ya!
thank you for the advice. I have done this so many times when i have lost patience for the one i really want

It takes a little time to get used to blocking out the noise but it's very freeing
Great video Amelia, I’ve bought what I think I should buy and not what I want but I’m still learning ❤
I think we're all still learning!
Great video and great advice 😊
Thanks so much!
It is addictive and FUN🎉
It's absolutely fun!
Great tips!
Thank you!
Nobody dictates what I buy or don't buy. I have been ridiculed about what I spend my money on. I, in turn judge people who buy things and put themselves in debt. If they wanna dish it out, they should be able to take it.
Agree, people will give it but don't want to receive it
Good points! I buy what I love now without thinking "oh but I already own a pink tote, I should buy a more neutral colour to get more wear out of it" 😂 not gonna happen
Same!
Could you do a comparison of your Capucines bags please?
I have a comparison on my channel already, and have a 'brutal' review coming shortly
Do you have anything like a Calada ring or any Shamrocks
I had the ring when i was very young
@@ameliarosescloset I had that when I was very young before I was in Ottawa and a bracelet with Calada on it there was a Irish gift store
I hate when ppl do that to me, i bought couple items that I didn’t like at the first place, when i started buying luxury items, I was almost forced to get it, eventually I learnt to say no to them, they even got mad at me lol then I have to remind them I’m the one paying for it and using it not you.
People get so involved with others choices!
“They’re not like husbands.” 😂😂😂❤
Lol!!
I love that lips bag
Here here!!! Your collection doesn’t work for everyone…..except me lol
We're in this together!
Super!👍🤝👐👏👏👏❤
Thank you! Cheers!
I see a common theme with your videos now you like to talk about being addicted to handbags and having that be normalized…
I like to talk about handbags.
