That's awesome work! Planning on doing this myself for my future beardie, was just wondering, if I paint it with acrylics do I need to seal it? And if so do you have any non-toxic sealant recommendations? Thanks :)
That's great, I much prefer this to the approach that's not much more than painted foam. Using the spray bottles is a great idea too. How heavy does this wind up being? I wonder if it'd be practical in a larger enclosure?
Not necessarily, just either build the concrete part on a removable foam panel, or break the concrete and make new backgrounds if you decide to change it in the future :)
@@coopsreptiles2588 thank you very much! Gonna do the same for my Stimsons! He’s always been on Eucy mulch and I’ve been wondering how to make his tank more species appropriate
@@ezy2kill yeah mate they live on it in nature. If you are keeping them right it’s no issue. The only thing I do is try not to feed them directly on sand
coop never disappoints
Appreciate ya!
Background looks very realistic!
Thanks mate came up well!
That turned out really nice. The snake is going to enjoy her new enclosure. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah it is a bit more weighty for sure and a really large setup would weigh a lot I imagine. But how often do you really need to move it?
good on ya mate looks great
Thank you! Cheers!
End result is good but Didnt this ruin the tank though?

Do you make backgrounds for people?
I have been thinking about doing some for people! Feel free to send me a message through my FB page
Because if you do make them, I will like to buy one, not for my children’s python
Ok
I’ll check it today thank you
What is the substrate mix you used? Thank you :)
It’s just some red sand and a little bit of deco granite pieces !

I thought red sand is not appropriate for a stimson python?
Why?
@@coopsreptiles2588 I can't remember the reason, I read it or someone told me cos I wanted to have sand in my enclosure to mimic nature
