The best christmas movie is 'One Starry Christmas' from Hallmark. It's got all the cornerstones of a cheesy hallmark romance, but most importantly, the love interest is a cowboy and the actor can't hold an accent to save his life

I know Lindsay is getting her life back together and I'm happy for that but did they really have to cast her in this movie? Also I love your videos Gabi!
I watched a Hallmark movie with my mom once called Christmas in Vienna, which is about a violinist who travels to Vienna to play in a Christmas concert, and my mom and I were dying at the inaccuracies. Maybe we were especially predisposed to notice since we’re both musicians and my father is in the military, but it was just so painfully unrealistic. The main character Jess spent all the time before her concert putzing around the city and no time on screen practicing, and when she and the American diplomat had their third act breakdown, it was about him moving, and she was all like “no don’t move again, your kids will be sad, and I’m in love with you”. Like, lady, you think he can afford to not move when that’s literally in his job description, which is his only source of income since, I can’t really remember the details, but I’m pretty sure his wife died? Those kids are better off sad than starving.
I love and I mean LOVE the “A Christmas Prince” series on Netflix. I can’t help it. The main actress has been a fave of mine since iZombie and it’s fun feeling like a kid watching a Disney princess film again. I will say, I don’t give cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies the time of day UNLESS I see that it features an actor with whom I have a childhood connection or just haven’t seen in awhile and have a soft spot for. Then, the terrible plot doesn’t bother me as much.
Cheesy christmas movies have a special place in my heart. I just wish they were a bit less formulaic. Though my fave twist in one was where hashtag girlboss PR exec woman was stranded/visiting someplace & stayed in an old house & ended up falling in love with the man who lived there...and he turned out to be a ghost. Lol.
That "small town" in the Lindsay Lohan movie is actually the local ski resort a couple hours outside of my city. I recognized it from the ski lifts alone. They do fireworks there pretty much every week.
Does anyone else find it kind of existential when the man falls in love with the woman when she has amnesia. Now that she has her memories back, she's a different person than he knew.
You took the words out of my mouth. Watching Lindsay Lohan feels like a comforting hug from my childhood😂I’ll watch her in any role. She’s always been one of my favorite actresses.
5:22 Gabi I kid you not. Back in 2006 I woke up in the middle of the night and there was a large blob in the sky that looked like a star, but was changing in brightness every few seconds. I looked up Stellarium and it wasn't marked as anything on it. It couldn't have been a plane, or a space station or a planet. I got my telescope out of my shelf and was setting it up, but the commotion caused my dad to wake up and told me to shut it and go to sleep since I had school the next day. I thought "oh well I'll probably check it out tomorrow". But it never appeared again. To this day I have no idea what it was and today I have a masters degree in physics with specialization in astronomy. I don't know what I saw that day and I wish there was some way to find out.
Were you actually awake or was it just a dream, that being said you are not the only one to see strange orbs, what they are I do not know, likely something mundane.
Anyone else notice how occasionally the title of the video section goes from merry christmas to a different misspelling of it? My favorite is MEry Chrysssterlmas. That was so funny. Also, the Slim Shady joke was super hilarious. Love your videos
I recently saw a listing on the number of these films where the collection's title was: 'Christmas Movie Posters with White Heterosexual Couples Wearing Red and Green', between 1940 and 2011 we have 21 movies, and then something snapped in 2012, the full list till 2023 consist of 279 (and growing) movies :'D crazy
You should watch Holiday in Handcuffs. It's easily one of the best Hallmark-esque movies ever, and it's absolutely unhinged. I watched it all the time on ABC Family growing up 😂
Just wanna say Thanks! Because i started watching your vids while looking for a job and it really helped with the constant radio silence after interviews i thought went well. And now i watch while having a job and it helps with the stress of working in IVF
Idk if you're joking or not, but why does she need a body double to kiss him?😭 if my partner needed a whole ass other person to kiss me I'd quit the acting industry
OMG , The movies on netflix are just crazy overthetop. really its like a hallmark movie on steroids. so not for me. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Loving the pet friendly mit for the cat
thanks so much for reminding of that scene from The Room! i just recently broke the habit of saying "hai dough-gee" anytime i saw an animal, and youve just caused me to relapse.
there is a food you can get that include eggs from chickens that are raised around cats. the food takes about 3 weeks to take effect but if you keep your cat on that food they will become hypoallergenic and you wont need the glove
Nothing… except maybe it’s supposed to appeal either to people who are lonely at Christmas or people who feel sorry for them. Those are my best guesses and I admit that they are lame.
I watched Falling for Christmas a few weeks ago and it was okay! Really adorable and funny in places ❤ And mostly stereotypical but it's the kind of movie that's fun if you don’t take it seriously! :)
The only Christmas movies I tolerate is Home Alone 1 and Home Alone 2, everything else… no… Edit: actual from what I’ve heard Die Hard is a good Christmas movie, at least it’s my Nanna’s favourite Christmas movie and I’ve learnt to trust her judgment
Klaus is a pretty great animated Christmas movie that I don’t see talked about much, and it’s one of the best Christmas movies imo. I recommend you check it out!
Santa's creepy expressions and head tilts reminds me of the Wookiees at the end of the Star Wars Holiday Special, gazing at each other during Life Day.
Was staring at the romantic interest like "Why is he so familiar???" Its the man with the fakest sounding name on earth 'Chord Overstreet' aka Sam from Glee. Glad to hear trouty mouth is still around.
I have unashamedly seen all of these films, my wife and I like to comatose ourselves with them, they're so cheesy and predictable it's hilarious. I also think you hit the nail on the head about Falling for Christmas as I remember thinking it definitly felt more self-aware; like a tongue in cheek parody of the Hallmark Christmas movie which always seem unaware of how cheesy they are.
If you see something glowing like that as a single point of light during a meteor shower, it is most likely a meteor flying directly towards you! It should explode before it hits you but it's still terrifying.
Why does every film that involves amnesia always make the person forget who they are... that's literally impossible, you never forget who you are you forget who everyone else is, you know the people who aren't you, how could you forget you, you're literally the only ever present thing in your life.
“Cooking is just chemistry and physics” I haaate how common it is for a Science Girly to use a variation of this line to explain why she can cook, it’s so clunky and I don’t understand why she can’t just know how to cook.
Hey excuse me, but for an actual scientist "I don't know what that is" Is absolutely one of the coolest, funnest most exciting answers you can have. It is super awesome when you get something unexpected. I mean unless it turns out to be a glitch or a broken instrument or something; but if you can eliminate technical problems and you still have something you don't understand, holy shit, that could mean your life's work or the life's work of a bunch of future PhDs. You could be the discoverer of something really amazing. "I don't know" is the most important answer in science
Gabi! Merry Christmas to you!!! You never fail to make me chuckle! I found your channel about 2 years ago, and I never told you how much I appreciate your deep dives and funny commentary. I’m always excited for a new video. Have a good holiday season and return to us with plenty of more!!!❤

Same here theres a hallmark movie with ingrid from witches of east end and the guy from eureka and i ate that shit up
It really took until Lindsay Lohan to become an elderly millennial to finally end up in a Hallmark/Lifetime Xmas movie. What a time to be alive.
You're going to be old someday too, just remember
@@KuueenKumihuh
Cheesy christmas movies have a special place in my heart. I just wish they were a bit less formulaic. Though my fave twist in one was where hashtag girlboss PR exec woman was stranded/visiting someplace & stayed in an old house & ended up falling in love with the man who lived there...and he turned out to be a ghost. Lol.
Watch A Very Nutty Christmas, it is WILD
So it's the Christmas version of Overboard, the glorious 80s movie with Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn.
I'm so disappointed that I had to scroll down this far for this comment. It's the same movie but christmas.
@@obsi1984 I was like "This is just Overboard Christmas" and started scrolling.
I was looking for this comment
That "small town" in the Lindsay Lohan movie is actually the local ski resort a couple hours outside of my city. I recognized it from the ski lifts alone. They do fireworks there pretty much every week.
In Falling for Christmas the dad and the main guy has the exact same haircut, and for some reason I found it hilarious 🤷♀️
Does anyone else find it kind of existential when the man falls in love with the woman when she has amnesia. Now that she has her memories back, she's a different person than he knew.
I watched Falling for Christmas like two weeks ago and I started binging bad Christmas movies because of it.
I swear I say like a weird white comet like thing once.
Journey to the Christmas Star is based on an old Norwegian movie that is a must see for many Norwegians! No business women or single dads in sight 😆
Jake Russell is Sam from Glee. He's a good actor and kept me interested in the later seasons
I watched it all the time on ABC Family growing up 😂
Kurtis Conner has a video on this movie!
Upon hearing "my name is" twice, my mind already filled in the Slim Shady part. This video did not disappoint!
Just wanna say Thanks! Because i started watching your vids while looking for a job and it really helped with the constant radio silence after interviews i thought went well. And now i watch while having a job and it helps with the stress of working in IVF
I was singing "chicka chicka Slim Shady" like a second before you threw that in lol. I'm not gonna lie. That kinda made my day.
Fun fact: the lens flare is because it’s not Lindsay but her body double
Idk if you're joking or not, but why does she need a body double to kiss him?😭 if my partner needed a whole ass other person to kiss me I'd quit the acting industry
Some actors are just like that. Might seem weird considering the profession but that's the way it is i suppose @@adumba3709
Falling for Christmas is good! And the Mean Girls reference was *chefs kiss*
The fake/secret santa trope in movies is legit fascinating to me where did it come from how did it start why is it a thing i need answers
I dont always warch Gabbi Belle, but when i do...
5/5
Merry Xmas folks! Hope all well.
The cat, nearly unmoving in the background is perfect
OMG , The movies on netflix are just crazy overthetop. really its like a hallmark movie on steroids. so not for me. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Loving the pet friendly mit for the cat
thanks so much for reminding of that scene from The Room! i just recently broke the habit of saying "hai dough-gee" anytime i saw an animal, and youve just caused me to relapse.
They made Santa into a creepy voyer? How fitting. 🤣🤣🤣
"He knows when you're asleep, he knows when you're awake, 'cause he watches you day and night.
there is a food you can get that include eggs from chickens that are raised around cats. the food takes about 3 weeks to take effect but if you keep your cat on that food they will become hypoallergenic and you wont need the glove
The Santa is actually genuinely making me uncomfortable for some reason and I feel bad because he’s probably just some random nice guy lol
6:59 I recognize that ski hill. That is mount Pakenham in Ontario Canada. It was the hill I learned how to ski on.
This is my favorite video of yours. The tone, jokes, editing, etc. are all perfect!
Why do almost all Xmas movies involve a romance?! Like wtf does that have to do with Xmas.
Nothing… except maybe it’s supposed to appeal either to people who are lonely at Christmas or people who feel sorry for them. Those are my best guesses and I admit that they are lame.
Yes, and eleven-year girls
omfg the love interest is Sam from glee 😭😭
I watched Falling for Christmas a few weeks ago and it was okay! Really adorable and funny in places ❤ And mostly stereotypical but it's the kind of movie that's fun if you don’t take it seriously! :)
The only Christmas movies I tolerate is Home Alone 1 and Home Alone 2, everything else… no…
Edit: actual from what I’ve heard Die Hard is a good Christmas movie, at least it’s my Nanna’s favourite Christmas movie and I’ve learnt to trust her judgment
Klaus is a pretty great animated Christmas movie that I don’t see talked about much, and it’s one of the best Christmas movies imo. I recommend you check it out!
@@alexisdogbo7958 oh I just remembered Klaus!! I’ve never watched it but I’ve watched a therapist and filmmaker talk about it and it seems great!!
But...Arthur Christmas....
I want to see a "scary movie" parody style of movie with this genre, fully exaggerated and digging deep into the tropes that come with it.
Santa's creepy expressions and head tilts reminds me of the Wookiees at the end of the Star Wars Holiday Special, gazing at each other during Life Day.
Gabi's editing is top notch. It's just so damn good
I really wish Lindsay had used her new pseudo-Arabic accent in Falling for Christmas. 😂
Was staring at the romantic interest like "Why is he so familiar???" Its the man with the fakest sounding name on earth 'Chord Overstreet' aka Sam from Glee. Glad to hear trouty mouth is still around.
Your videos are so genuine, positive, and hilarious. So happy to have a wholesome creator to watch. Keep up the amazing work!
Bad christmas movies are a mood.
You can put them in the background knowing you didnt miss anything
the "get into groups of 4 and discuss" bit ohmygosh I laughed too hard at that
listen i unironically love falling for christmas. It’s terrible but i love it.
This xmas season, we’re definitely all stars 🌟
Or at least we will be, b/c Hallmark will inevitably hire us before they stop making star movies.
@ville__ I’m so glad to meet Tommy Tallarico himself in the comments section!
Your mother must be so proud.
Found you 2 days ago and i have been binging non stop😂😂
UA-cam basically wakes me up now with a video of you.
And you are very funny
If you see something glowing like that as a single point of light during a meteor shower, it is most likely a meteor flying directly towards you! It should explode before it hits you but it's still terrifying.
we watched My Santa, which is a Matthew Lawrence joint, and i strongly recommend it 🤣 it’s hilarious. the ending is perfect
Why does every film that involves amnesia always make the person forget who they are... that's literally impossible, you never forget who you are you forget who everyone else is, you know the people who aren't you, how could you forget you, you're literally the only ever present thing in your life.
Gabi casually glossing over how she was watching the new Space Jam with THE LeBron James, I didn't even know they knew each other
“Cooking is just chemistry and physics”
I haaate how common it is for a Science Girly to use a variation of this line to explain why she can cook, it’s so clunky and I don’t understand why she can’t just know how to cook.
Thank you for giving us a new video for Christmas. 🎄
My favorite Christmas special is A gabi belle Christmas. I especially liked the cameos from the Hivemind guys as wacky mailmen.
3:45 But...that's the Sea of Stars soundtrack!!! Nice gamer moment gabi 🔥🔥🔥
I just came here to say this!!
I’ve watched falling for Christmas 10 times at my granny’s I know everything off by heart at this point😭
Never got them to turn off those damn lights!!!!
gabi you have unlocked my bad Christmas movie era
Gabi! Merry Christmas to you!!! You never fail to make me chuckle! I found your channel about 2 years ago, and I never told you how much I appreciate your deep dives and funny commentary. I’m always excited for a new video. Have a good holiday season and return to us with plenty of more!!!❤
Always good videos, thanks for the fun Gabster.
you look stunning!! and also linsey lohan!! love that she’s back
hi gabo belle i just got back from a horrible family christmas dinner thank you for uploading and making my night better. happy holidays!
I love the way your cat is just asleep on an AV receiver like it's a bed especially for them.
Not gonna lie you made me laugh throughout the whole video. This is peak comedy I love it
I just realized that this isnt the first time Chord Overstreet and Lindsey Lohan have acted together. She played herself in Glee for an episode and if im not mistaken (and i hardly ever am when it comes to Glee) they acted together on that.
tbh i always thought that Tad and the old man who saves him had a lot of chemistry. I thought they should've ended up together
