Even with rhe excelent demonstration in this video, i managed to crack the side cover when prying it off. If i had it to do over again, i would have bought 3 or 4 plastic spudger (pry tools) first. I had used two flathead screwdrivers and it marred the plastic pretty badly. My repair worked though, so thankk you for the instructions.
Awesome video! The videos that show disassembling these appliances and showing the insides are so helpful. It helps me decide whether I will replace or repair. With your video I can REPAIR! :)
@@macdaddypimpping After two successful tests (after dismantling and cleaning), the garment steamer no longer heats up and no longer releases steam even if it is switched on for a long time. So I had to disassemble a second time, and clean the boiler from the inside with vinegar. Same problem, no heat and no steam when garment steamer is on. Do you have any idea how to go about solving this problem? Thank you.
These steamers are obscenely designed. Thank you for confirming the idiocy of accessing the guys of these. I just deconstructed mine and there was a short in wiring harness. Evidence of near combustion...junk
This is what happens when you don't use distilled water. Every couple months use white Vinegar to clean it. Pour the Vinegar where the water goes and let it run.
I have the same steamer. Power light comes on and stays on, steams great for a minute or two, then stops steaming. I ran it with vinegar several times but the problem is still there. How do I fix it?
You could also take a photo of the electrical connectors, then disconnect the heater from it's electrical connectors and soak the heater in citric acid powder dissolved in water over night and thoroughly dissolve all scale off of the heater unit.
Question - the part that hangs the clothes on for steaming. I’m not sure if I’m doing it wrong but I can’t seem to get it to lift high for steaming and when I do it just comes apart. What am I doing wrong?
Where do u live I need mine fixed lol it beeps for 20 seconds then turns off ls5100 1500watt. Power is in hadle 5 settings. Beeps red then light turns off
Thats a professional grade piece of shit, they labeled it wrong. I have seen professional carpet cleaners, they arent made of plastic and dont weigh 2 pounds… Buy nice or buy twice…or three or four times…or until you have exceeded the cost of buying the real professional grade item in the first place…

Good job, I'm not sure if I can do the same with mine, thank you sir
Thank you MacDaddy you saved me a lot of headaches !
You are so welcome!
31:50 was the thermo cut off boken and you replaced with microwares one? fixed and safe to use now?
Hola, no sabes donde puedo comprar una igual desde Mexico? saludos
Thanks for this video, really good advice.
What is the value of thermostat please?
You have to use distilled water to avoid that calcification.
Thanks so much for the video!! It also applies to the IS 9200. This helped a lot, and made fixing my problem so much easier
You're welcome!
Hi, did the noble formula emu oil bar soap ever help clear your sons acne?

how much citric acid in your solution?
Thank you 😊
You're welcome 😊

There is a black clip on it. Open it and then try
Thank you
You're welcome
Truly very informative
Glad you think so!
It is safe to bypass the sensor
What is the role of the sensor in this steamer.
I have the same issue and I bypassed it.
Sensor is there for a reason, to protect overheating steaming.
Mine not leaking, but not steaming, how long did it take for u to fix?
You might have to check if your thermal fuse is shorted or steam holes are clogged.
Where do u live I need mine fixed lol it beeps for 20 seconds then turns off ls5100 1500watt. Power is in hadle 5 settings. Beeps red then light turns off
You might want to check thermostat, either short circuit or giving you warning about the temperature.
@@macdaddypimpping actually opened it. 2 bolts cam loose tighten and worked. Maybe it was a ground or something
You should only run distilled water in a steamer
Ce que j'ai pas compris, comment vous avez lavé l'appareil avec beaucoup de l'eau. Ça ne cause pas un choc électrique 🤔

Thats not a carpet cleaner
@John-hb7mb it's a garment steamer. They rhyme though 😂
That's too much trouble lol
