Day 3|JUDGING a TANK BEAR (Spring 2022-Manitoba)

Day 3 proved to be an exciting spring bear hunt in 2022. I drew back multiple times on a tank/gorilla bear. He was nice. Watch the video to learn a little bit about judging this type of bear.

Pretty good resolve not letting the fingers slip....i guess these days triggering the release lol. Nice average size of bears crowded around makes the walk out of the bait alot more interesting in the dark lol. I'm assuming this bait isn't in the porcupine hills?

What's your guess on size? Would you shoot that bear?

He's definitely a shooter.. but I understand why you'd pass on him.
I'd guess that he's six and a half foot.. he's heavier than Noah's bear. Probably a year or two younger as well.
Can't wait for episode 4.. there's a reason he's on edge! Even if he's chasing off competition.. he knows there's a boss bear in the area.

I agree with some of the other comments that he is bigger than Noah's bear. I don't know what metric I am basing that off of other than he looks bigger to me. He looks like he has a melon head on him too.

How much do you think that bear weighs? I would think around 350 pounds?
