BRILLIANT ! How did we all know that wing nut was going to fly off the air cleaner - ha, and I suspect we have all been 'kicked' by an unprotected spark plug too 🙂. Can't wait to see this gem on the road - lots will settle down with a few short drives around. Looking forward to ALL your future videos with her. Thanks and take care 🙂
I had one just like yours from 1969 to 1973. The owners manual that came with it was highly detailed on how to take this entire car apart! The problem back then was not being able to buy the parts for it. I really needed the T shaped waterpump hose and it was non-existent! And a host of other things, but she is a little sweetpea! I'm enjoying the show!🙂
Thanks for watching! Surprisingly, most parts are still pretty easy to get. A lot of them are being reproduced now. I just ordered a whole new coolant hose kit which includes that T hose.
Thanks for the video I like metropolitan's I'm old but when I was a little kid my babysitter had a metropolitan she called it fuzzy it was a great car she painted purple it was fun got great mileage have a great day metropolitan's are cool
If you look on the side of your fuel pump you will see a gas primer for those cold days, or first time starts after a few days. Every carbureted car should have came with one of those, it comes in handy for me. 👍 Also since you're not a nash guy, when you change the oil make sure you're getting diesel oil for it. A lot of those diesels ran off of the same technology and it has zinc in it like our cars needed that prevents wear. 👍
The engine is running sweet! This is my third video I've watched on you getting the car running. I've subscribed after this one to watch your progress. Thanks for sharing.
You may have a bad ground on the blinkers sometimes if you have a bad grounding will feed back to the stop lights and tail lights when you turn the blinkers on the tail and stop lights blink dim at the same time.
i find it handy to keep old speedometer cables for getting passages like that pickup tube cleaned out .
That's a great idea, thanks!
