Aim assist jut destroyed all fun using muskets, well any range weapon. So sad because I really love this game, but now, whit aim assist… I don’t know if I will play it again :(

You did wonderful work here, especially considering the timing of this video's release. Really thank you for your efforts, gave me a lot of information to work with. You also found yourself a new subscriber!
At the chest after you swim, you can equip both of them and then you can* drop one if you don't want it. I'm saying that you can then play with the main choice and watch the 2nd weapon disappear before any battle, on the beach. You finish the battles and when you get to the beginning beach settlement you can then unequip the 2nd because it reappears in the 2nd slot. It is then free to salvage and you are not going to notice any passive learning for that weapon. You are then free to add any weapon you choose to start the 2nd slot for passive learning. this also makes it easier to gain insight for the skills.
Honorable mention: Swapping out the void gauntlet for Flail. I love this healer build, great self sustain for solo PvM while being super viable in group PvM (I don't PvP much) Can really do it all, heal from a distance and deal with close combat if your team has no tank. The one time I ran this in PvP was in heavy armour and was unkillable with the Flails cleric tree weapon masteries.
Really Baggins. 1 hour long. I have a final I need to study for and complete today. Last test for my Bachelors! Hope I pass the final AFTER watching this banger of a video.
As someone who's played healer main almost since the start, I have to say that I've never struggled with any solo content at any point in time. Self-healing is insane in this game and so long as you've got the right dodge timing and stand inside your heals, there's nothing you can't solo as a Mystic. If you have the AE expansion, the flail pretty much covers multi-hit much better than the Void gauntlet. LS/Flail can make for a very potent offensive bruiser healer.
S-Tier: soldier and Occultist; specifically for the mining proficiencies. Everything else doesn’t matter because it can be easily overcome after an hour in game.
@@ghostsamongus3370throne and liberty is not bad on the console but it's p2w doodoo water and fps drops when engaging with literally the only real endgame: large scale pvp

Most importantly experiment, especially early on because there will be some weapons you just hate and others that you unexpectedly love.
When you say I can combine weapons do you mean I can take bow + hatchet at the very start? If so which archetype would you recommend (I just wanna zoom through leveling and do lategame pve)
@@tommytherunner I'd grab the Ranger archetype -- gives you the Bow and Engineering -- the spear will work until you get a hatchet for close in fighting. With Engineering you will be able to make your own bows and Hatchets and Spears. Many of the weapons are just lying around on the ground to be picked up, are quest rewards or can be looted from chests. Worst case you buy the Hatchet in the first town.

solo pve you can get away with any combo, certainly as you level & get a feel for it. give it a go but id suggest trying other weapons too as you're levelling.
@@BagginsTVhow so? You not going to be craft right away also you basically need every crafting to get end game items. Glad you played 2 hours of the game tho
Can you do a video or short about which weapons pair the best and what goes best with the archetype such as soldiers with their own archetypes or destroyers with the soldier archetype
Unfortunately I find many of these modern MMOs don't really have the type of gameplay I am looking for. They are more focused on reflex based gameplay which isn't something I'm physically able to do very well. What would be the best (even if subpar) at just plain face tanking and beating down content. 1 at a time, or aoe either is fine with me. Solo gameplay. I know that in general this style will be lower damage and thus take longer to level, and I'm ok with that. I actually much prefer fighting one mob that takes longer where I can experience it all, versus burning down 10 in half a second anyway :D
Destroyer is easily as S tier. YOu got 2 weapons that many pvp/pve players run because they synergize well together. Also this is the best archetype since it comes with the executioner helmet, never seen this helmet in game until they made archetypes.
I think what they did with the Swordbearer is a prime example of why New World is in the shape it's been in over the years. It's not thought out, at all. Go with the Ranger and then swap bow or spear for the greatsword. Done.
i like that u "choose" a "class" in the starts, it feels cooler, but overall since there is no "classes" they should just give us the option to choose the skin we want as armor, and then select 2 start weapons... i mean flail is not even a choice, and everything else, i dont play "together" :D i play BB flail or BB FS cant decide yet.. i like flail more, from the playstyle and look and so on, but its way weaker as "damage" then BB and FS, so iam not quite sure yet
dont worry its only a guide, once you start lvl1 you can be anything. only have a small start on trade skills which doesnt mean much anyway as you can do all trade skills. Once your in archtypes mean nothing.
Any1 know if you can get all outfits from these archetypes on one character? I wanna play Ranger but i love the Swordbearer outfit. I am aware i could just start as Swordbearer and then change weapons but id be missing out on those sweet profession bonuses.
I agree that the GS archetype is bad. I would put it at D tier on your chart because the only reason to pick it is to start with a GS and both starter zones give you a GS so there's no reason to pick it. I always play in light. My picks are going to be based on starting trade skills only and I will just take off my armor if it's not light. None of the starter content is hard while naked.
@BagginsTV with a 65% scaleing in focus with the flail how many points would you put into focus if you plan on running left tree for the AOE heal/regen aura?
I'm rolling a ranger. I had a lot of fun with the bow during closed beta. My only concern is that I've heard that the bow isn't viable in dungeons and raids. Is that true?
I thought the top would be talking about skills, not weapons. I still can't make up my mind, I think the bow-spear is the best but the Ranger doesn't look bad either
do you know if they reworked using controller on PC ? I played about 200 hours or so on PC about a year ago and I have to use a controller. I enjoyed the game a lot but it was cumbersome at times using the controller mouse function which made me reach for my mouse at certain times due to ease of navigation in the menus and a couple other times.
They added more options and custom keybinds for controller, but I personally also find it easier to navigate menus with the mouse, the "virtual cursor" moves too slowly with controller.
Having mining as an occultist is absolutely pointless because youll never have a high strength and to be a good miner you pretty much need 350 strength.

I heard you say GS has a higher base damage than hammer and something. Look at hammer base damage. It's higher than the others. THat's why it can push out higher dps. The issue is that people don't run it in a DPS configuration and they think of it as a utility weapon. It can actually do TONS of damage. Like I said, people are sleeping on it.

Okay so from what I see here all of these armor and weapons have ilvl 75? As soon as you are in the first settlement and you already gathered a few materials you can easily craft 200+ items. I really thought these starter sets would be better.
Sword and flail both use a shield. So one of these should be your main weapon. You could try them and either pick one or both. Hatchet gives you survivability and some range, flail does it too. Greathammer has good stuns, great axe has a good distance closer. Just try and see what clicks for you. And most important of all, have fun

Having mining as an occultist is absolutely pointless because youll never have a high strength and to be a good miner you pretty much need 350 strength.
Im picking the sword bearer because it gona make me feel like Guts from Berserk.
No such thing as tier list for these! Pick the one that gives the crafting bonuses you need. Get the weapons you want at the trading post shortly after you start. :)
You totally missed the point of this video....
bro did not watch the video
@@gd6noob ofc he saw the title and went instantly to the comment section without watching the video lol
The trading post will be empty on the new servers
Trading post will be empty you noob...
I had so much fun yesterday but im a brand new player so it gets very discouraging when i remember 95% of the people on my server already know everything about the game because they have been playing it for years
who cares lol stop trying to compete and have fun, there will always be someone better than you
@meytah8382 why? I like to compete.
@@antlive5595 no point bro ppl always gona cheat and beat you or play longer than you honestly u not making money just play and grind if u wana get better. This mentality will kill you, ik cuz im competitive myself. Nobody is really playing new world rn tbh so ur not rly gona have a huge competition anyway...
This video makes no sense, you should only take what boost in skills you have. You can change wep in the starting zone so it does not matter...
he literally states that did you read the title and just comment?
@@Fleebuss he had a argument with himself and lost 😂
good video
you said top right for the tanking video, it didn't show the link for me, what's name of the video?
People are sleeping on warhammer as a primary DPS. i'm testing it on a playthrough and finding it to be real strong if done well.
I heard you say GS has a higher base damage than hammer and something. Look at hammer base damage. It's higher than the others. THat's why it can push out higher dps. The issue is that people don't run it in a DPS configuration and they think of it as a utility weapon. It can actually do TONS of damage. Like I said, people are sleeping on it.
wait am I understanding that right? I can't pair any weapons anymore and you now have those archtypes ? Or can I still run a bow and a hammer together?
no these are just starting items its the skill bonus u wanna pay attention to as those 3 skills will start lvl 50
you can do whatever you want just like it was on launch! These are starting setups - helps you to start. you no longer have to search starting weapon for these setups. ofc if you want another weapon you gona have to either find it or craft it or buy it, just like it was :))
You should really watch the video if you are going to comment on it
Just have fun is what i got out of the 1000th versions of the same video
ok but is there seemless dual specialisation? all mmo's need this. looking at you throne and liberty
AN HOUR LONG!?!?!?!
I want to pick the Swordbearer just for the Skin... do we know if we will be able to get all the skins somehow?
There needs to be a stat wall for territory, pc console claims along with factions the tables are NOT equal game started on tuesday, htf are already faction wars
The ranger no longer starts with a spear
Bro I love you and thanks for the video but I can’t even start the video cause it’s an hour long! If it was 10-15min I’d watch the whole thing, I can’t watch it for over an hour;( I wish you’d make a breakdown within that 10-15 min. There are way too many people making videos and no time for them all, but I’d watch yours first if it was short! Keep up the good work though brother!!
it is possible for old characters change look in new generator?
Wheres the flail?
Hold up is jewelcrafting now combined with stonecutting? Please respond lol
I’m a stupid idiot I started as a ranger and before hitting level 10, I started using a musket for range and a hatchet for melee lol
Okay so from what I see here all of these armor and weapons have ilvl 75? As soon as you are in the first settlement and you already gathered a few materials you can easily craft 200+ items. I really thought these starter sets would be better.
New world is at its heart a crafting and gathering game, giving too good starting equipment would remove the early opportunity to make some gold.
What’s the best tank combo
Sword and flail both use a shield. So one of these should be your main weapon. You could try them and either pick one or both. Hatchet gives you survivability and some range, flail does it too. Greathammer has good stuns, great axe has a good distance closer. Just try and see what clicks for you. And most important of all, have fun
