Jerkbait Caught a TON of Fish | COLD Front Fishing from Jon Boat

- A jerkbait can be a great tool for fishing post-frontal conditions. We had a COLD front come through. I was able to locate the fish that had moved slightly deeper. The erratic stop-and-go motion of a suspending jerkbait allowed me to catch nearly 50 fish! Thank you for watching feeshin friends!

Went out today for a couple hrs before dark & caught 12 bass. All between1.5/2.5 lbs. Nothing to brag about. It’s just nice to be able to catch fish & enjoy being out. No matter what size they are.

I went fishing today for 5 hours and got no bits Debo goes out and fishes for 22 minutes and catches 30 fish.....just crazy!!!!!

I dedicated last year to learning how to fish jerkbaits and it paid off this year , invested in a good setup, Cashion Icon jerkbait rod paired with a Shimano Scorpion 71 xp , 10# Seagur Invisix, most of my damage came on a Vision 110 in Matte Perch, best of the year so far 6lb 9oz , sadly the bite died down as the water temps rose to the 70s , can't wait for a cold front lol
Jerk bait fishing is the best fishing.

Can you do a video on how to spool and use fluorocarbon on a baitcaster because no matter what I try, I can't seem to not have backlash every cast. Put on braid and good to go. And I would really like to have a setup that I don't have to run a leader line constantly. Especially for cranks and stuff.

I did not think much of the red until I put a red hook on the front of a walking bait last fall. Every fish I caught on it was on the the red hook. I think there is something to it. I watched tacticalbassin talk about it and I agree with them. They said it gives the fish something to key in on if nothing else just because it is a different color when they are coming to hit it.
Red belly hook and a dressed rear treble... only way to go. Works great on spooks as well.
Bass Geek is awesome. Learned a lot from him when I re-carpeted my bass boat this winter. Turned out beautiful. I agree that you should upgrade the Jon. Could be an interesting series, eh?

Love watching your vids man. You vid with the red lipless crank was a game changer for me. I had a pb get off on a pond I was staying at while doing a walleye charter. It had to be a 12 pounder. I couldn't bank flip it it was sooo big. A few of the charters went in together to make some condos around this pond so if you like to fish you can go out on charter during day then pond fish massive largemouth in the evening. Port Clinton Ohio. Hawgn Charters check them out on fb their website is a mess but there Facebook is good

Went out for 10 hours for the first time last Saturday and didn’t catch a bass… definitely appreciate the “normal sized fish”. I usually am throwing a Texas rigged stick bait on a 3/0 or 4/0 hook and feel like a red hook does better 🤷🏻♂️.

And backing a jon boat is no joke. I had the same issue when I had a jet ski. I always had to get out and drop my tailgate so I could see where I was going. Keep up the great content!!
