Super helpful! Admittedly I was taught on the job, and have always named my Flash character rigs like your students mentioned, with L and R. Partially because we use a F view character sometimes so the F gets confusing. But honestly this makes a lot more sense and a lot of it is just having formed bad habits and stuck to them! So moving forward in harmony I'll work on breaking those habits and teaching people this way! Thank you!
1:04 Naming Layer convention
2:15 nodes hierarchy (aligning nodes for better understanding)
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh i never thinked about this for eyes and always get confused, damn, that very usefull!
Well now you know !! I never thought about it before someone told me either!
That tip for the eyes is super useful! Wow, I can't believe I haven't used it before!

Thank you so much for sharing these tips. I'm new to rigging and this makes the process a little bit less intimidating.

Huh. I'm currently starting my journey learning Toon Boom Harmony, and it's been a fun trip so far. That observation about naming the eyes front and back instead of left and right was surprising and very well thought out, I like that. Wish that Adobe Character Animator had that kind of foresight, haha. Oh well. Great video though!

Superb
Thanks 🤗
Kinda the same related thing for when I animated symbols in Flash. Like if I rotate a character, if it still their same POV if it's their left or my left, or their right or my right?
I would've 100% been that smarty pants student sulking in the corner after being corrected xD
meh eh meh
thank you!
You're welcome!
good one
THank you !!
great!!!!!!
Thanks!
Lots of good information here. What do you mean by "leader" in the hierarchy?
i say it here: ua-cam.com/video/cLvh8ItaYxg/v-deo.html
it means it shares the same pivot as the other under it :)
Your puppy dog is extremely cute.
