Great advice! Finally got a kayak, but love being connected through wading, instead of chasing sometimes the fish flow in or you notice a small detail that produces.
At 72 and having several leg and knee operations, my wading long distances is over. Luckily, some of my favorite memories is floating down a river and getting out of the boat to fish the ripples, cut banks etc. That’s my plan for the future, to be tested next week in Idaho 😊
I just moved to Texas from GA and am looking to wade fly fish the coast for reds before committing to boat ownership and just have no idea where to begin. Are there any starting tips/resources or strategies that would help prevent miles of fruitless wandering around the flats?
We like both!

I like to combine the two....getting out of the kayak in the shallows and wade fishing!

The prophet Tom Petty teaches that the wading is the hardest part.....
LOL!
