I have been experimenting on my devices a lot and have found that whenever you want to talk something really important or personal with your family and friends, just switch off your data. While sleeping also I keep away all the devices and switch off the Wifi as well. It has eventually positively impacted my sleep pattern and I encounter fewer ads.
