    If anything really unusual starts happening in the bathroom, your stools are strange, urgency is felt & nothing is happening and maybe you feel tired and full....... see your doctor straight away. I went on day 3. The locum said he would order tests, not spotting diverticulitis in my notes. 36 hours later, I was in surgery for peritonitis. Team 1 had stopped when the senior surgeon arrived. Infected diverticulitis had ruptured my colon, part of which was trashed. I experienced coma (not scary whilst it is happening), 4 months in hospital, 2 months home nursing, a short break, then a dreadful battle with Sepsis with 3 months in hospital. I am now on antibiotic treatment to prevent Sepsis. The moral is, do not be embarrassed, say (or write down) 'something is going wrong with my poop/bathroom visits'. Treated in good time, many problems can be fixed. Do NOT delay. If you get fobbed off, go back or see someone else.
    To stay alive, I needed major repairs. I never use the loo to poop now. I miss that but at least I'm here to tell you:-
    Strange poo experiences? Cannot go at all? Something really worrying? SEE A DOCTOR AND SAY! Do not become disabled, or die of embarrassment!😯

      What a horrible ordeal you went and are going through.. Thank you so much for sharing and warning us. I have two friends that had that and the pain was horrendous, the one was a professional football player previously and it was so bad he was lying on the aisle of the plane sweating and holding on to the seat frames. Both were lucky to be alive, but both also do no longer have a colostomy bag. All the best to you

      So true! Doctors are corporate now. We are only allowed to see our doctor for 15 minutes a visit. What are they gonna find out in 15 minutes nothing. Grrrr I have a physical nowadays no Ear Check no throat check, no chest check, or eyes. Ridiculous it seems like they guess by what we say then lots of pills that are very bad for us. I feel like Google is safer lol

    My very best friend died from liver and pancreatic cancer, New Years Day 2021. He smoked heavily and ate only fast food. He was barely 57. He rarely drank hardly any water. I tried to help him after he was diagnosed, but his brother would bring 3 different fast food meals EVERY NIGHT, then he'd pick one. He went from 268 lbs., to 120 in 5 months. He stopped eating Dec. 3rd. THEN, it was only apple juice. Then it was only water. Then, nothing. He had no wife or kids, so it was mostly his mother and 2 brothers there at times who knew NOTHING, and they were not close! I had to give them pictures of him. I thought something was up with his mom because she could not finish a sentence. 3 months later, after my bf died, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at age 75. She had also been tasked with not only taking care of ( or putting up with) her youngest son and his two grown boys, cleaning house for her middle son in which she fell and broke her hip, she had also had to take on caring for her 94 yr old mother, who moved into the tiny house, because her 2 brothers would not help. One is a millionaire, and couldve hired a sitter. I havent spoken to them lately, because they had started to take me for granted, and I have my own 91 yr old mom to take care of. Yes, Im off the subject of poop, but when you start getting sick, look around and see if it's your environment and/or your circumstances making you sick, and not just food!!

And I agree, your environment has alot to do with your overall health especially, family who don't care about you and add to your illnesses!!
      God bless you and your mother, and you are a good friend for trying to be there for your friend especially, during his difficult time when his brothers were to selfish to help him!! And yes I would stay away from that family because they sound like trouble!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

As far as your bf's mom putting up with the grown kids and their nonsense, she was either nice or a doormat. Either was, everything is harder for all family members when parents fail to say NO. Call me cold, but I don't plan on any child or anyone else invading my retirement space with their grown-up stupidity. Get out, get a job, get an apartment or whatever, and get some dignity! Then had a complete bowel blockage and after 10 days of no pooping, a v bloated belly and alot of pain I ended up in hospital. I now know this was all from taking a course of antibiotics for BV. Magnezium and hidration is exactly what's missing from a modern diet ! My 4yo niece had constipation and her mom asked me for a remedy ! "How do you give her the milk ?" Boiled - she said ! "Give her raw milk instead " or raw carrot juice - the result will be in a few hours ! My mom was a nurse and " fed" me on antibiotics shots when I was 5, 6, 8, 10 yo , even when I had no fever , no cough or other flu symptoms ! I got later, at 16-20 yo, all types of respiratory infections , including Streptococcus Aureus resistant to any treatment ! Now I treat myself only on Vitamin C , mostly from green veggies or raw food ! Wonderful for all the organs , any infection and allergy problems ! Also Vitamin C kills all types of virus ! I will never take any shots against any germ : I had enough when I was little ! Now I have a wonderful brain, thank God for this ! 🤗

      That's the trouble with having parents in the health business they tend to run for the drugs first rather then let children fight these childhood illnesses themselves and build up their own immune systems.
      If a baby /child can get gastrointestinal infections a couple of times in the 1st year and are left to fight it themselves then they'll have a good strong immune system but if you give them antibiotics all the time they'll be weak and sickly for rest of their lives. That's not to say never give them antibiotics but do it only when absolutely necessary.
      I believe children are so weak these days because of all the vaccines they're being given in thev1st year of life. Its horrific what they're giving them especially in America where medical drugs are big business. Its not so bad in other countries where medicine and medical care is not monetised to the degree it is in the states.

      Hi, if you are 76 and just has a colonoscopy and had only 2 polyps removed, there is no reason you need to have another colonoscopy. The doctor shouldn't be telling you you need another one at your age. Seriously, do some research, you do NOT need one at 79 years old. The doctor is making a buck off of you. If you were younger a d there was a family history, then yes. But not at 76 with only 2 polyps on your last one. No more, don't put yourself at risk of getting another one.

    This is something I learned/learning during my diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine.. its one of the standard diagnostic methods. Colour is important too. If its the usual brown.. thats normal, because bile is what gives poop its colour. If its pale or near white.. then you got a serious problem, your bile ducts are blocked. It could be stones, cancer. I've only in my 5th month of learning TCM.. so still early.. its a 2 year course.

    • @michaelvanderbeek6869
      @michaelvanderbeek6869 8 місяців тому +1

      Generally it can have different colour's depending on what you eat. Problem colours are if its bloody.means near anus bleeding, can be up to the large intestine. If its very black you might have bleeding in your stomach or small intestine. Generally the colour should be fairly consistent brown. White or very pale usually blocked gall bladder.

      Where can study traditional Chinese medicine

    • @michaelvanderbeek6869
      @michaelvanderbeek6869 2 місяці тому +1

      @@physio-anjali No idea, I think you can find places in Sri Lanka for that by googling. However, I'm not sure you can get chinese herbs easily in Sri Lanka. Might be better for you to study ayurvedic medicine. There are some overlap in methodology between ayurvedic and chinese medicine. For example, you also have things like Pulse reading, herb formulas and massage and others. To learn non-western medicine, you have to throw away almost all of your western science upbringing or you will get really confused. For example, kidneys in western medicine are primarily for waste removal and water balance in the body. In Chinese medicine, besides the waste removal, it is also responsible for bone and marrow formation(including teeth). In chinese medicine, when you age, the first to reduce in functionality is the kidneys. Because it affects bone and marrow, osteoporosis starts. Also because it affects marrow, (the brain is considered the sea of marrow), your brain function deteriorates and so does you hearing as the ears are in the sea of marrow.

    IF TAKING VITAMIN D ~ beware of CONSTIPATION. When I started on Intermittent fasting and cut out sugar, flour and other bad stuff, all my stomach problems cleared but I became very constipated (something that's never been a problem for me). I was perplexed because I'd never eaten healthier and I am a vegetarian who gets plenty of fibre and makes sure to drink enough liquids. This went on for over a year with me taking things to try and combat it (without much effect) until a friend of mine asked me if I'd started taking more Vitamin D. actually vit d is absorbed by body using magnesium. if u take 5 million ius of vit d and u dont take magnesium ur serum level wont increase , which is the case with most people and they take 50,000 ius and insane amounts and suffer from constipation as a result. if u take vitd , u most definitely need magnesium with it and u will see great results in serum level plus no constipation. hope it helps.

    Now I eat a very low carb diet, and take two teaspoons of linseeds a day, in cottage cheese - and no problems. Zero problems with my digestion.

Same goes with grains. Garaunteed heart attacks eating that trash. Grains are what cause cholesterol issues not fixing them.

    Certain medications can also affect your stool. Some cause constipation, regardless of fluid intake or gut health, that can then cause marbles or harder formed stools. Which can be helped or alleviated by taking a stool softening gel. Like with everything, its about balance. Finding the right balance for you, takes some experimentation… but once you find that balance is found, its easy to keep it constant. With all of the antibiotics in meat these days, its tough for anyone to keep a decent biome for the good enzymes to survive and thrive. Everyone should probably be taking some form of pre and probiotics. Fiber and magnesium, if you don’t get enough in your diet.

    Marbles poop is my everyday misery
    I push so hard until my eyes feel so starry
    Even when kid, my mom had to scoop my poop inside my butthole
    But some days when I’m happy, do much activity, my poop passes really smoothly and no effort!

    Funny thing about the diarrhea from being in foreign countries. Back in the 80's I spent 3 months bicycling across Europe. If the locals drank tap water so did I. If not I drank bottled water. Never had an issue.Then when I returned I stayed a couple of weeks with my parent and got it. I then headed home, got it again. Got over it then went and visited a friend from college. Got it again.
    In those other countries I never had a problem but back in the good old USA!!!
