GRACE BARRIOS DECONVERSION MYTH

Grace Barrios is one of the staunch critics of Bro Eli. She was once a member of our church-MCGI but how come a faithful believer like her de-convert and become a rabid and critical assailant of a leader she once revered and respected? Let me tell the story as I grasped from how she being once a close friend in FB tries to be persuasive in her quest for credibility. It begun when one of her associates became visionary through prophetic dreams. This associate has been a host of Molly-an alleged spirit of the dead, wherein she appeared to her in dreams and giving-off prophecies with regards to Grace, that Grace will be a mother to a son who would sort of expected to be a great man in middle east and pioneer to the destruction of Islam. And other dreams, too in relative inclination.
Other members of the church did have the privilege to dream Molly, too and testified in favour of Grace. At some point in time, Grace did reveal this to the local church in Benguet whereas it tended to have a negative backlash. The church offered some worship service in her house with the notion to intervene with what appeared to be a demonized situation, to at least have some holy forbearing but it failed. Still, Molly ‘the demon’ persisted and have been a pleasurable reality in the household of Grace as such prophetic instances is positive on Grace personal outlook, as it appears.
Time came that Grace preferred to consult with Bro Eli in his weekly congregational consultation with members. On that platform, the deacon of the Benguet local church, Mr. Opulencia was present and tried to explain his understanding of the situation wherein there is some sort of fake news involved. He lied at some point. He said:
“Grace son will be a saviour and she will born him in spirit…”
This is a lie as Grace never in her persuasive testimonies indicated his would-to-be son as saviour and born in spirit but due to some reckless and impulsive disposition on Grace’s part, she related an approval of it in some way as she implied by notion of logical implication that her son would be a saviour. She said:
“LIAR! HE WILL NOT BE BORN IN SPIRIT!” (almost hysterical)
Implying, as per grammatical notation and logical understanding of such speech that she approved her son is a saviour yet he will not be born in spirit. By Grace apparent response, as manifesting her approval that her son is a saviour, Bro Eli then based his answer on such precedence of admission then, followed it with discourse on how Christ is the saviour and not anyone.
After this incidence, Grace de-converted. For what reason? Bias. He accused Bro Eli of doing injustice to her due to his inexperienced procedure of neglecting to give her due judgment. She said, bro eli never investigated the matter yet made an unjustifiable verdict. But wait! Wasn’t Grace apparent admission that her son is a saviour not enough to make a conclusion? For me, that admission is the focal point of judgment so no need to investigate further. It was a tensed situation for the then, emotional lady.
So Grace de-converted after that, and begun the quest of her being a critic and assailant.
In my own assessment, she was hurt-and thereby, became vindictive thus as a response she de-converted and begun the barrage of attacks on Bro Eli. Sign of a weak faith, apparently grounded on the hope that Molly’s prophecies are true and such as propeller to a life of delusion, and impropriety in faith.
This is what truly happened as far as I can remember. And its sort of saddening how my once close friend, Grace is keeping a head-on attack against Bro Eli when the reason of her deconversion is too superficial. She was hurt and nothing more, based on her inappropriate outlook of what indeed transpired in the consultation. If we are to be logical enough, she admitted her son is a saviour-and that as nail to the coffin is catalyst, to why she is now adverse. She made a fault and ignored it, magnanimously despite of Bro Eli’s fair and prudent judgment.

DEMONS CAN MANUFACTURE DREAMS

Grace Barrios said that demons cannot manufacture dreams. This is an appeal to ignorance fallacy in her attempt to defend the reality of Molly appearing in dreams and giving-off prophecies about her and her would-to-be son in exalted prestige, and to prove that indeed demons can intervene in our dreams, let me elaborate on Job how he, too had dreams and visions. Lets read:
Job 7:14-15
[14]Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions:
[15]So that my soul chooseth strangling, and death rather than my life.
JOB blamed God as the one giving him these terrors in his sleep, but if we are to be meticulous about it, this is the time that Satan was in control of him, as these were the days of his satanic tribulation, and in such a predicament, Satan was the authority of his fate. Lets read:
Job 2:6
[6]And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
Meaning, it was actually satan troubling him through dreams and visions bec this is the time that Job was in Satan’s hand. Objection may comes like: “God said, Job have spoken about god what is right, therefore its true that it was god who terrified him with dreams and not Satan, right?” Lets quote it:
Job 42:7
[7]And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.
The thing is, God also called Job a false witness:
Job 38:1-2
[1]Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
[2]Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge?
What does it mean therefore when god said, job was telling the truth? That is, after he was humbled by god, and not before it-so saying, god gave him bad dreams is not true. It was satan bec satan was in control over him. Here is when Job tells the truth:
Job 40:1-7
[1]Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,
[2]Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
[3]Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
[4]Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
[5]Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
[6]Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
[7]Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
What god meant when he said, job was telling the truth was after he was humbled-then, required to declare, to express or talk by God but before that, Job was a false witness therefore, what was true is-Satan gave Job bad dreams as he was under his control. Lets quote again:
Job 2:6
[6]And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
This reality of demons interfering with our dreams is expressed too in NT, such as this:
Revelation 16:14
[14]For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
It says, devils work miracles, too-and if we look it up in Greek, it isn’t simply miracles. Miracles in Greek:

Pronunciation: say-mi’-on
Definition: Neuter of a presumed derivative of the base of G4591; an indication especially ceremonially or supernaturally: - miracle sign token wonder.
KJV Usage: sign (50x), miracle (23x), wonder (3x), token (1x).

In verses: 69
So the actual translation, is beyond simply miracles but generally ‘wonder’ or ‘supernatural’ to indicate that these demons work supernatural wonders. Dreams and visions in a prophetic manner are supernatural wonders as these are works of supernatural entities beyond what is natural .
So Grace, what makes you think that demons cannot manufacture dreams? They can work supernatural wonders. Though this is a generalized statement but in logic, gives-off an idea that corroboratory of Job’s predicament with terrifying dreams as he was in Satan’s hand construe the reality that demons can indeed manufacture dreams.

JER 31:22-A WOMAN SHALL COMPASS A MAN
GRACE BARRIOS is claiming this woman is she, as she has been trying to challenge the leaders of my church-MCGI. To compass is to surround and it’s a form of figure of speech which she implied victory over men. But is this reasonable? Lets quote:
Jeremiah 31:20-22
[20]Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.

[22]How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter? for the LORD hath created a new thing in the earth, A woman shall compass a man.
Note when is this a reality-israel was a backsliding nation, called as ‘virgin of israel’ or ‘daughter’, obviously this was the nation of Israel as it was in Jesus time.

[8]Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:

This is the time of healing for Israel when a woman shall compass a man, meaning that woman is the mother of Christianity who would then encompass a man-to lead him to the right path. It says:

Note on the highlighted portion: compass and lead. That is a preferred definition for the verse. Meaning it would be the mother of Christianity to either compass or lead these backsliding Israel. When is this? Logically, the time when Israel was yet backsliding-so if GRACE BARRIOS is the woman, so can you say that Israel today is backsliding so she need to compass and lead it? So this Israel of today aren’t backsliding as indicated by God putting them back in their land with the promise to change their hearts. Can you say now that GRACE BARRIOS is the woman in JER 31:22 who should compass and lead these backsliding Israelites; Or, should we think of it as the mother of Christianity?

REFUTING GRACE BARRIOS’ ‘MOLLY’ THROUGH SCRIPTURES

Molly is a dream character in a person’s visionary experience. She is a woman who was allegedly dead and appearing in a person’s dreams giving off prophecies about Grace Barrios and his prophesied son who would be a Christian pillar on spiritual warfare against muslims in the middle east. Sort of a messenger of God who would pioneer the destruction of Islam. This is relayed by Molly through dreams and visions, allegedly. And there are more of these prophecies and revelations but let us just present that for emphasis.
Why do I believe this Molly is a satanic character rather than a godly heroine-or, divine figure?
Foremost bec everything religious was already given to the apostles. Lets read:
2 Peter 1:3
[3]According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
All things about life and godliness was given to the apostles, meaning, all religious matters were given to the apostles therefore, in executing our beliefs it must be an apostolic belief in integrity. Lets read:
Galatians 1:8
[8]But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
The Christian belief must be apostolic in essence and anything that exceeds it must be denounced or rejected bec what the apostles did preach was already the complete religious teachings. This is corroborated by a prophecy of Isaiah as it says:
Isaiah 34:16
[16]Seek ye out of the SEPHER YHWH (WRITING OF GOD), and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her REUTH (ADDITIONAL ONE) for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.
Of course, this writing of god is the scripture as expressed by its definitive indicator: a) gathered them b) none wants her additional one
Meaning, for the scriptures to have been gathered as one writing of god and secondly, not wanting any addition indicates a complete scripture. So for it to be complete, even the apostolic teachings in it must be complete corroborating what 2PETER1:3 said as ‘all things were given’ to mean that all religious things were already in the bible. Having this reality, is there any basis to believe that indeed Molly’s prophecies are true?
Although its biblical that we are to see dreams and visions in modern times as said:
Acts 2:17

These dreams and visions cannot be religious in nature or godliness in form bec it defeats the notion that the bible is complete already in religious truth and that apostolic teachings are complete in religious truth, so why should we believe Molly’s prophecies when these are religious matters, right? Yes, that is observable. He made errors on many things like scientific details, biblical accounts etc… This could be relative to many reasons like slip of the tongue, mental lapses or a simple oblivion. Even for doctrinal matters, he may have made some errors but does that diminishes his authority as messenger of god?
No. Bec even the early apostles like Matthew did make errors. Here is a look:
Matthew 27:6-9
[6]And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
[7]And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter’s field, to bury strangers in.
[8]Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
[9]Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
Matthew had used a rather wrong reference for the succeeding quotation:
“…saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value…”
It wasnt a prophecy by Jeremiah. It was by Zechariah. Note how jeremiah wrote all the revelation of god in a single book as it says:
Jeremiah 30:1-2
[1]The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
[2]Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
So where is the pronouncement of matthew in that single book? None. So it was an error.
So we are seeing here an example of presentation which is erroneous in nature. So how much so for Bro Eli who is too as flawed human as Matthew?
Were they not divinely guided?
Divine guidance as implied by this example is progressive which allows avenues for errors-and for understanding how errors are a pathway for perfection.
Isaiah 29:24

With imperfection, there would be errors. Is that the only error the apostles made?
No. Even james, peter and paul made errors. Here is a look at it.
Acts 21:21,24
[21]And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
[24]Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
James who presided the council heard that paul was teaching contrary to moses and want to guarantee that paùl didnt abandon moses (and his law) by obliging him to do something that as by this idea:
“..and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing…”
Meaning, james endorsed moses and his law for the church as he suggested for paul to patronize moses and his customs. It contradicts paul who preached earlier against moses law as he said:
“…you cannot be justified by the law of moses…”
Secondly, peter likewise erred as he said:
Acts 15:9
[9]And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
Meaning, their was no difference between jews and gentiles in the church with regards to religious practices but on the contrary, there was. The jews were obliged to follow moses as elaborated above whereas the gentiles were not but simply on few directives as these:
Acts 21:25
[25]As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.
Meaning, peter was wrong. There was a difference. Jews had to keep moses and his customs whereas gentiles had to keep on few selective ordinances. Thirdly, paul made a mistake in his speech also as he said:
Acts 28:17
[17]And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
Paul said he didnt commit anything against the custom of the fathers yet he did when he preached:
“…you cannot be justified by the law of moses…”
Jews kept the law of moses whereas paul opposed the keeping of the law. So paul was against the jewish fathers. Lastly, for Paul circumcising timothy not for doctrinal reasons but simply as provoked bec of the presence of the jews was in error. He complied with the law of circumcision just simply bec he was coerced by the presence of jews, so he was not sincere in obeying the law of moses. It was coerced. Still he obeyed moses.
Acts 16:1-3
[1]Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:
[2]Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.
[3]Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.
He opposed his own doctrine: “you cannot be justified by the law of moses…”
Fact is, paul’s doctrine emphasized that to be circumcised or not isnt important, thus circumcision is optional.
1 Corinthians 7:19
[19]Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
Galatians 5:6
[6]For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
For circumcision to be optional and yet he submitted to a mandatory circumcission in the law of moses just for the sake of the jews around is contradicting himself for preaching that noone is justified by the law of moses. Paul was in error. But let us say that paul applied an abrahamic law of circumcision to timothy instead, does it mean its right?
No. Bec it contradicts paul’s doctrine of optional circumcision whereas the abrahamic circumcision was mandatory. Still, paul was in error.
Obviously, these apostles made errors by how they expressed their faith in assorted doctrinal matters. How much so for a modern evangelist by the person of bro eli? They all made errors as reflection that divine guidance wasnt yet perfected for them to be perfect men.
