Armour isn’t as flashy as a weapon, but it’s the hidden angel which saves a game. Helps that people don’t team as much on good armour as they do on, say, Mjolnir.
and they also can't tell what enchants your armor has just from looking at it

No one knows if it’s prot 4 or 1 but with your sword they will know when you hit them

My guess is that they are trying their hardest to get cleans. Battle Royale formula is a bit hard to balance when it comes to camping and cleaning
Get kills and loot from other people before deathmatch is very useful

xShatter once got prot 3 helm, prot 8 chest, prot 3 legs, prot 4 boots
players should craft more grindstones so useless books can be cleared for reenchanting and some xp can be regained

Good armor also has a hidden benefit that people underestimate how much damage they need to do to kill you when you're on low health

I think the reason why people don't like you using a bow over melee is because you DO bow, a lot.
Haven't watched ur hoplite vids for months but when the game first launched you have posted yourself usually bowing for most of the fights and some will find it repetitive to watch over and over again, this goes for any pvp game.
I would say less than 1% of viewers actually care about the bowing. It's mostly people who watch AND play that dont like it. A lot of people actually like that I bow because literally no one else besides zova does. Every other streamer/youtuber just melees

Guys, prot 5 is just as good as prot 7 or prot 255.
The formula for damage doesn't account for protection levels higher than 5.
i think its does its just like theres an overall cap so youd be right if all armour pieces were diamond prot 5 but since its 1 it matters

It does, but Hoplite isn’t regular Minecraft.
I read that the maximum protection that armour provides is 80 percent, going 20 per level. So prot 4 is the best u can get, and all more than that protect you the same
that is false. every prot level does add half an armor bar but there is no cap on the protection. you are thinking of the resistance potion effect which provides 100% protection at resistance 5 making you invincible and thus higher levels useless. also you take a minimum of .1 damage with prot 32k (the true max).
@@Pigismal Every protection level increases damage resistance by 4% so full prot 4 is 64% resistance but the max is 80% resistance even if you have prot 10 on every piece of armor

to max out armour protection, you would need prot 5 on each armour piece.
Each level of prot gives 4% damage reduction, so a single prot 4 piece would decrease damage by 16%
However, protection enchantments can only reduce damage up to 80% total; a full set of prot 4 will give 64% damage reduction.
At the end of the video, Scottish has prot 2 helm, prot 7 chest plate, prot 2 leggings and prot 2 boots, which means in total he has 13 total protection points.
13*4=52% reduced damage
keep in mind that none of these take into account the stats of the diamond armour themselves.

its been my style for as long as ive been a youtuber i just like talking and most people watch me for what im talking about not about my pvp or anything, I think theres prob some yters out there that focus on the pvp more
