PRIME CHINO HILLS goes to Mater Dei's NIKE EXTRAVAGANZA XXI to face off against BISHOP GORMAN from Las Vegas, led by future NBA big Zach Collins, Jamal Bey, Charles "Chuck" O'Bannon Jr. , and Christian Popoola. Coming into this game, it was meant to be somewhat of a challenge for Chino Hills facing off against top talent and big players in the middle of them wrecking their local league play teams. It ended up being a pretty boring blowout until a rally at the end from Bishop Gorman that made it kinda close, but not really... Lonzo Ball with the casual triple double, all starters outside of Onyeka Okongwu had 20+ , and we see freshman LaMelo Ball cooking against the upperclassmen D1 talent. Eli Scott held his own going up against Zach Collins, and showed off the range with the corner 3, and LiAngelo Ball played his typical bully ball plus deadly pullup game. One of the more forgotten games from PRIME CHINO HILLS era but you can see the sold out crowd was still there. Mater Dei would get a glimpse of the team that would eventually put a historic beat down on them come playoff time.
