Solid builds my friend. Couple of things to note; Testing has shown that stone katanas w/stone master have the highest dps outside of moon cancel spam. You can combo from light into heavy strikes and vice versa with better speed and less delay than water stance's surging strikes and the first strike in the triple stab combo ignores enemy defenses and does insanely high damage. Also, the masamune's edge double damage applies to base damage before all other boosts are applied (such as those from +melee or +oni damage) and is additive rather than a multiplicative bonus. Doesn't mean it isn't good, but it's not as strong as it might seem.
Ok but how are you staggering enemies if you a ranged build ok it work but what about close combat stone stance is horrible for staggering and that critical for higher level enemies if your not a ranged build
Forbidden Medicine and Spirit Kunai with a Purple Smoke Bomb with Munitions is really nice on the Samurai. I do have a Masamune's Edge build with the Samurai combined with Enjo's Remorse, the Melee Damage stat is really high. I have around 5 builds for my Samurai, at least 2 or 3 builds for the other classes. Just depends on how I want to play and what type of mission I'm playing. Liquid Courage is still pretty good for Rivals, I use it on my Samurai and Hunter sometimes. I basically have a fire build for each class, Healing Ronin, Poison Assassin, etc.

I started using different gear depending on nm maps. On sphere week I play my Samurai with focus on resetting Raging Flame plus M. Edge. On every other day survivability is main idea. Damage Reduction and mayhem with bombs

I noticed the other day that the assassin seems perfect for iyos eyes. When you use his unlimate you cant be trapped by the eye. Plus the ability to get past all the walls with this weeks map.

I'm an assassin main but I've been having a lot of fun with my samurai perfect parry build. Having a tinker with it at the moment but it works around the synergy between Wrath of Suragami with intimidating counter and wind stance, Enjo's Remorse or Sacred Iron with leeching parry, and the Healing Strike technique. Then I use counter damage and injured resolve gain on the rest of my equipment where applicable. If I get my parry then I get 3 unblockable hits with added damage and potential AoE that also heals me. If I miss my parry I'm still building towards my ultimate anyway. Currently trying melee/Oni damage instead of counter damage to improve my overall DPS and see if it feels any better. Any thoughts or pointers?

I basically have the same build except I'm still running a Samurai Charm with Melee Damage, Explosive Blade Radius 99.3%, and for the perks, Leeching Parry and Blessed Strikes, other than that, it's the same build. Well, on Wrath of Sarugami Katana I have Water Master and Intimidating Counter for the perks. It's fun to use in every mode except Rivals, I have won Rivals with that build, but Fire Samurai has a higher DPS. I put together the Parry Build back before Fire Samurai was nerfed and everyone was running it. I just wanted to do something different than everyone else. I also have a straight up Melee Damage build with as much Melee Damage as possible. It's not meta but it's a lot of fun.
@@joeyjones9041 yeah, I see where you are coming from with that build. I really enjoy it but the low DPS compared to other builds/classes is brutal. Don't get me wrong it does damage, it's just so slow and too dependent on enemy aggression. Then you have the beefy oni that can't be parried. Currently I'm messing around with a "Spirit Striker" template. I say "template" because it is essentially the same across all classes with minor tweaks but they all play a bit different.
At the end of the day no matter what your build is, when you play NMS you just have to have some combat skills to stay alive. And Ephic you have skills bro so you can make any build applicable
For my samurai I use wrath of sarugami (badass name by the way) with intimidating counter and water master I use wrath of sarugami because mine is a perfect parry built by the way I feel like they should have called hachimans frenzy hachimans rage because to me it sounds way cooler

I have a Samurai Build with Wrath of Sarugami Sword with Intimidating Counter, combined with Leeching Parry and Blessed Strikes on the Samurai Charm, I use Explosive Blade with the Radius increased by 99% it's not meta by any means, but it is a lot of fun, I just find it more useful on Gold Survival and Story or the Raid versus nightmare because the enemies are easier to parry. I suppose one could get used to the timing of parries for the Oni tho. It really is a fun build and playstyle tho.

Just started legends not to long ago thanks to ps+ and was maining ronin but now I got a feel of samurai and instantly was hooked thanks for the build and I just stared hitting plat in survival so this helps alot
So on my ronin, I've been running hybrid fire and ghost weapon damage. On my water katana I have melee and oni damage, with burning blade and water master. Bomb pack standard. Stealth charm with ghost weapon and fire, with fire master and combat regen Spirit kunai I have melee and ghost damage because I find I usually don't need the extra reduction and more melee helps. Then last I have demon seeds with ghost damage and status duration with munitions and deep bags. I use flaming roar, ghost weapon 50%, healing increase and legendary This way I get the best of both playstyles being max ghost weapon and fire
You have 2 ultimate boosts so what not skip the Masamunes Edge for Bottle of Liquid Courage and maybe a resolve increase somewhere for an almost on-demand ultimate? Ronin build looks good but Little Chunky told me he didn't see a damage difference between having 1 or 2 Ghost Weapon Damage. Could be worth testing Status Damage Duration/Damage in one of them? The Assassin build looks legit! I'm using Little Chunkys poison build but this I might try yours too. Assassins is so fun now!

That is definitely a good point bro! I don't much like the Kunai on any other character than the Ronin because of the insane damage boost! But I can definitely try it.
The worst thing about Legends (mainly Nightmare and Tales of Iyo) is players quitting too early into the game if people go down. I just wanna team up with players who communicate and wanna help grind for gear 😢
On the ronin if you switch the perk for every time you heal you heal others then you can add another legendary which I’ll use the stone striker and the demon seeds and pretty much the stagger damage and the heavenly strike tears through the enemies and I’m always healing so always giving my teammates health
I just wish Moon Master or Stone Master could be used, but only Wind Master can be used on Masamune's Edge. I do have a Wind Master version of Masamune's Edge for the Samurai and Assassin. Stone Master or Moon Master would be sick tho, the DPS would be through the roof.
Depends on your build if your a healing ronin no need to play with a gourd and play with smoke bombs with munitions to get back range weapons in battles
Hey Bro to your Hunter Build, You can place as the third perk slot the the flaming ult because Skipping Stone Bow already ricochets the ult shots for more two enemies so be aware that You are wasting a perk slot

The flash bombs are definitely strong because they keep the enemies stunned for a long time. However, I personally wouldn't take it over Black Powder Bombs.
Tho Stonecutter offers the technique with a huge dmg boost on staggered enemies, so if you focus on dmg it can be better Stonecutter, or why not both for extra effects?
For shits and giggles, you should roll a Samurai Charm with Blessed Strikes and Fire Master, I think you'd really like it. It frees up your Ghost Weopon 2 slot, just gives you more options I think. I pretty much have every viable ghost weopon to 120 for each class, that way I can just swap out gear based on how I want to run that particular mission.
My hunter is the least used but the ssb is a practice thing i guess. Im not too good with it. But the weightless spirit is good now. Especially on the samurai. I dont think ill go back to the bombs.

My only critique is this it's a sword fighting game but I spend more time using kunai smoke screens and fire bombs and I do my sword. Which is funny to me because I usually play Ronin and there will be people that do way more damage than me but if I'm not on their team they would have lost because they can't even stay alive because once their abilities going to cool down they don't actually know how to fight without all their abilities which is funny to me because if they played the story mode they would.

Digging Mists on my hunter. I do lose the 15% decrease in class ability, but I enjoy the healing.

My hunter is the least used but the ssb is a practice thing i guess. Im not too good with it. But the weightless spirit is good now. Especially on the samurai. I dont think ill go back to the bombs.

@@EhpicPlays no I mean like I'm terrible with aiming even with aim assist.....maybe because I'm not accounting for the descending....so I chose to equip weightless spirit

Because those are the new skills, you have to do certain things to unlock them
@@EhpicPlays Before updating the game I had 2 legendary slots on my Samurai and now I don't. The game tells me to do missions I don't have available

My only critique is this it's a sword fighting game but I spend more time using kunai smoke screens and fire bombs and I do my sword. Which is funny to me because I usually play Ronin and there will be people that do way more damage than me but if I'm not on their team they would have lost because they can't even stay alive because once their abilities going to cool down they don't actually know how to fight without all their abilities which is funny to me because if they played the story mode they would.
Poison is better than fire for a hunter.
