Your stylistic impression is so memorable and abstractly beautiful, i’ve been inspired to pursue pastel once more since childhood. Thank you for all that you bring to this community-sincerely, you’re a gem, and I only hope that you continue to grow beyond number. 💙
Another wonderful and inspiring lesson along with your previous one on arranging your palette. I use Lascaux fixative (outside)at the end of my paintings. It’s the only one I’ve found that does not darken the work at all.
I enjoyed your Live demo for dry pastel colours, it done 👍✅ right now it is a very good medium 🔉 we can express anything,I have explained about it, and easily to apply on drawing paper 📜🗞️ no more cost, than canvas painting 🖌️🎨 need only two things dry pastel colour and paper 📜🗞️ and 💝🎁 presentation is our own. How many years of experience you have? in pastel colour? because of when I was working on it at the same time many of the 💝🎁 painters working with me, but first time I am watching to you soon 🔜.
BECAUSE ITS PRETTY! That is my painting mantra! Certain things need to make sense but others are based on our vision🥰😘😍
Yes!!
Very beautiful work of art!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you so much 😀

Gosh, thank you!
I really needed this water lesson! The down AND across working together is what I was missing in my work! Thank you!
Yay! Glad this helps!
amazing
Thanks bethany for your amazing pastel videos. Can you do one where you show how you use watercolors along with pastels?
Great idea! :)
SPECTRA FIX WORKS TOO WITH NO SMELL, it’s organic and does the job🥇
I love that, too! Sometimes it "spurts" out and makes big droplets. Need to clean my sprayer!
Another beautiful painting, thank you so much Bethany for wonderful lesson.
Thank you Alicia!
Fantastic painting dear friend 💕💕💕💕
Thank you!

I've heard great things about Lascaux! Need to try some. :)
I hear so much about avoiding blending in oil painting and pastel because it might end up "muddy". Not sure when to do it, and when not to.
Beautiful painting Bethany. Did you also look at your colour photo too or just the black and white?
The color photo didn't have much interest...it was almost monochromatic! I interpreted the color greatly!
This is kind of a dumb question but I did my first pastel ever and I want to know what you use to wash the pastel off your fingers??😂
Just good ol' soap and water.
