    Just beautiful. I also always, always appreciate an instructor who explains what she's doing and why. It's so appreciated!

    I wish you would show what colors you are choosing as you go through the work. I love how your work turns out but a little difficult for me as a beginner.

    Would these pastels work well with soft pastels to use together? How do you consider these as comparison to Rembrandts?

    How do these compare to newpastel? Hardness I mean? Would this set make a good underpainting set like the newpastel used for underpainting

    Lovely painting. These pastels seem very similar to the Mungyo gallery square soft pastels. I know they manufacture for many inexpensive products.

    Hi Bethany, I was researching Colour Block pastels and came across your Blog and video this morning. I did my first piece with them last night. I really like them but am concerned about lightfastness. I love the piece you did. Have you noticed any fading?

    • @BethanyFields
      @BethanyFields  3 роки тому

      I have not noticed any fading. Any pastel should be kept out of direct sunlight - even artist grade pastels!

    So I was wondering if it’s dangerous for people to breathe in the pastel dust ?

    That was an awesome demonstration! Your painting is beautiful and
    the price seems great for a starter kit, how was the dust? Was there a lot of pigment left over in your catch tray?

    • @BethanyFields

      Not a ton of dust Crystal! Thank you for watching! :)

    I almost keeled over when you put that green over the blue to make the prickly pear! You nailed it! Thing that makes me depressed about artists is how much trash they send to the landfill. For instance, your black tape (just so you can see what you painting looks like) goes to the landfill. Unless I am mistaken and you reuse it......? If not, why not take several black foam boards in different sizes and use over and over? Please!
