I hope you have fun, making, or just watching this tutorial. If that is the case, please be so kind to give it thumbs up, maybe post a nice comment, and subscribe if you have not done already, to support my channel. I would appreciate that very much!
When you hit the bell, next to the subscribe button, you will be notified of every new tutorial upload. Speaking about buttons: there is also a 'Coffee ☕️ for Jan' button on the channel page 😉. Have a great day, and again: enjoy and have fun with Gimp!
👉👉👉Tip: Before you start editing, you might want to make back-up copy’s of your original images, especially when these are valuable images. In this way you will still have the original images, in case something goes wrong.👈👈👈
I look forward to every new video like most kids look forward to their birthdays! Just the right pace. Excellent techniques. Very imaginative. I would like to say, if you could do this, is there a way you could explain WHY you do certain things. For example: on layer modes why you would keep one normal and why maybe on another you would use MULTIPLY or others. I don't fully understand the whys of doing certain things. Anyway GREAT tutorials, the best on UA-cam.
Hey there, James Davis😉 . Wonderful comment. As you look forward like most kids to their birthdays, I always look forward to the reactions on my tutorials Thanks very much for posting. 👍I will definitly keep your input about the WHY in mind. I do have some tutorials finished and waiting to be published already, so maybe you will not notice it right away though. And sometimes its self explanatory or it would make the tutorial to long. And... sometimes I also do not know why something happens 😂haha. Anyway, thank you again and have a great day and weekend. Best, Jan, GW.
outstanding teaching methods and easy to follow
Your demonstration with the "paths" tool is top class, Jan, thanks as always :) .

That's great. We love Gimp, but in my opinion I think the selection tools is one of the things that could be improved. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Regards : ^ )

thank you for helping me ;P
Can you tell me how to creat passport size photo 1"x2" in 6"x4" paper size
for some reason when i do gradient it does nothing... i did everything like in the video
Thank you for your video. I need a little help. When I click on the "blur" layer and add mask to fill with the FG transparent tool it will not allow me to change gradient or anything in those options.I have selected the "blur" layer and the mask.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Jennifer. Sorry to hear that you are having problems.😧 Unfortunatly I can't figure out what it is excactly that goes wrong with your project. Ik have made the tutorial myself again and everything works. The only thing I can think of is that you have to click the reverse button, next to the gradient button, to reverse the gradient if necessary, but I think that that is not your problem. I can say however that it is very important to follow the steps very meticulous, start with the default settings of Gimp and check all the settings and options during your editing, not only the ones that are mentioned in the tutorial. When it still does not work for you, maybe you can tell me exactly every step you make... Please let me know how you are doing. 😃Best, Jan, GW.
