I had adr c 4-5 and C 5-6 about 6 months ago. Best decision I think although I still have arthritis type pain in my neck at times but it's relatively mild. I felt like 90-95% better. NOTE: This surgery is no cake walk, worse then my C section and longer recovery then expected. BUT my main ssue now is I woke up a few weeks back with rather severe pain. I also have C 6-7 not replaced but a bad disk. Mild herniation. The pain could be coming from there because I fell two months back. The disk may be worse now after falling. Unfortunately in the US you can only have a double disk replacement which I had but the other disk would need fusion possibly.. The surgeon said C 6-7 wasn't bad enough for surgery.
I hope your recovery is doing well. I am being encouraged to get a fusion at c6,c7 in a month and I'm really freaked out by it. I'm glad that your procedure went well.
Great video. Do you think someone in their 30's could make it through a police academy after this procedure? It's over 3 miles running daily with strength exercises like firemans carry other people, and other intense workouts between everything else.
You should always be cleared for anything prior to doing it. Based on what I have seen, read and think (personally) is to wait one year before you join.
Before the surgery i was advised by some doctors to enter a controlled pain management program, as an alternative to surgery. Perhaps it can be a relief for some people. My problem was the ruptured discs were pressing the medula so it was necessary to remove the pressure and pain killers were not a solution, but might help you. The surgery did cost 35K USD and yes, it is expensive. The surgeon told me before the surgery, it is advised to wait for at least a couple of years before having the surgery if there is no neurological complications, because sometimes the pain may subside with time.
Thank you so much for this video, I’m going for S1/L5 and L4/L5 lumbar disc replacement with ONZ spine connection in 4 weeks and this has settled my nerves somewhat so thank you.

ADR is better. Why would you want to take two bones and make them move like one when you could replace the disk and have the bones move independently? ADR is apparently cheaper too.
Actually not having surgery is better. Many studies show equivalent outcomes 5 years out with and without surgery. Why would you buy a metal and plastic object permanently in your body? @@elizabethgilge848 What part of 'ruined' don't you understand?
Did you have a growth spurt?
Tell your story please🙏
I understand what he meant. I had it done in 2015. C 456. It’s ruined my life. Pain every day. The days that’s not too bad. I usually over due it cuz I’m so far behind. Right now I’m watching yall laying on a heating pad because of the pressure in my head. Sick of it. I want my life back. I want to garden again! Went to many drs. Have stenosis and degenerative disk. Lots of needles in my neck. I hear all your stories and I’m glad yall got relief but it’s not happening for me
L5S1 disc
Hey guys. Will a three level disc replacement reverse cervical kyphosis? Did anybody have that problem and it was resolved?
No!! If you have kyphosis you are actually not a candidate for artificial disc replacement.
Wait, people with an M6-L disc replacement can no longer go into hyperflexion? Fuck that imagine doing all the surgery to end up not being able to pick a pen off of the ground or do a roly poly with your kida
Where did you get that from??
Cherry picked people, all of which were in desperate shape & ended up with glaringly positive results, picked to promote the surgery & pander to a pioneer of the procedure, pure propaganda. You could chose all people with bad results & push the opposite conclusion. The fact that you didn't include anyone with a negative experience says everything about the purpose of this video.
