- I travelled to Genoa to watch them play Lazio in Serie A. Genoa are the oldest club in italy and oldest operating stadium in the country! We experienced something very different being in an away end with 30 fans, you can't miss this 😂

fun fact: that wasn't an english flag, but a genoan one. Acually, English ships used to ask Genoa for their flags, so that pirates wouldn't attack them (Genoa was really respected). After Genoa collapsed as a power, England kept that flag.

As a matter of fact in 2018, the major of Genoa wrote a letter to Queen Elizabeth, to remind her the origin of the flag.

quindi praticamente il 90% dei tifosi della Lazio non potevano acquistare il biglietto

This is the stadium of Genoa and Sampdoria, only the latter won a trophy in the current stadium (Serie A 90-91). Please inform yourself better, as it’s one of the most big Teams in Italy for fanbase

To my knowledge, many of the stadiums in Italy haven't been renovated since the late 80s for the World Cup in 1990. That one for sure looks like it.

Preston’s stadium Deepdale is made by the same architect and is very identical to Genoa’s stadium. (and is also one of the oldest grounds in the uk)

Actually the English flag on the castle is a flag of some region of Genoa before Italy unified (1861)
If its possible you should go to WILLEM II - FC Groningen this weekend on friday. This is a real promotion/champion clash in the last 3 matchdays and there will be alot of atmosphere from both sides really wanting to push their team to go back on the highest level in the netherlands (they both got relegated not so long ago)

its the flag of St George's cross not the English Flag
We adopted the St George’s cross from Genoa in 1190 in order for Genoa to protect our ships in the Mediterranean according to google.

@stephanbiro3073 Well technically Luis Alberto has 4 years contract left and Immobile isn't yet confirmed but overall not much will change its more of a rebuild season but this season has given me some deep depression at times
