A tapestry of metaphors that is so thought provokingly complex and yet a seemingly innocent tale. Poetic genius!
Saw a bloke queuing up to buy a pint of milk...and a safe, when our Aldi first opened!

Mickey McConnell is from a very musical family in Ballinaleck in Co Fermanagh. His brother is Cathal the flute player with Boys of the Lough. Mickey has written some masterpieces in his time including "Only our Rivers Run Free" "Supermarket Wine" "Peter Pan and Me" among many others and he has done all this as an amateur musician - his day job was as a journalist with the Irish Times.
