- I know pushrods have been done to death, but I'm interested in the slave cylinder perspective.

Another valuable piece of research & information. I Frequently see posts with clutch issues after fitting new slave cylinder, this should remove some of the mystery.
I believe that the old one have imperial threads on pipe, and the new one to td5 is metric.
I had an issue when i built my Td5 110... i bought what i thought was a Td5 slave, but it turned out to be a 300tdi. The piston had a slightly shallower hole in the end (td5 was deeper) which gave the effect of continously applying a bit of pressure on the hydraulics, and thus the cover plate wasnt clamping fully on the clutch plate. Meaning it kept slipping, especially when working hard.
Interesting that LR decided the pushrod need more return force.
Are they interchangeable though and would it work both ways ?
