True , but one of the guys commented Sting belonged with the Police . 💯 couldn't agree more . Sting would never admit he jumped ship way before he should have and Stewart and Andy didn't want to split 😡 through his whole solo experiment he's relied on Police songs . I love him ❤ but the Police were a kick ass good band and he will never have it again 😢😢

@@drummerjeroensimons I actually had the pleasure to meet him on the streets of NY back in 2016! He really is down to Earth and very personable and polite as well! I've been a fan of his music for years, especially since I'm a bass player/musician myself.

Jeroen Simons I completely agree with you. I actually met him in front of Pianos in Brooklyn, NY. He was there to support his daughter, Eliot, who put on a brilliant musical performance that evening. You should've seen my reaction when I realized that Sting and his wife, Trudie, were standing right behind me! It's definitely a moment that I'll never ever forget! I was so touched that he was there to support his daughter. Mine simply abhorred the fact that I became a musician which is ironic because he was the one who actually introduced me to the bass guitar and was a guitarist himself! He just didn't like the idea of me playing in a band or in a bar while men hit on me on stage. He was also worried that I would end up on drugs but he really had no need to worry. His negative experiences with drugs and alcohol kept me drug-free 4 life. Luckily for me, that wasn't a lesson that I had to learn the hard way. Of course, I have nothing against a drink or two on New Year's Eve, lol! Anyway, Happy New Year's Day to you as well!

THANK YOU very much for this great documentary and the insight into the very personal work of STING and his fellow musicians!!!
I saw STING and his two musicians in Montreux this year. We were at the front and had the feeling we were getting a private concert. What a presence, what a legend and still at heart a seemingly down-to-earth person, despite his great successes. Respect, respect, respect!!! An acquaintance and concert-goer saw him briefly while walking in the middle of Montreux. I got the music list with notes from STING from the staff. I gave it to my girlfriend, who is of course overjoyed to have something so personal from Sting.I wish Sting, his family and friends BEST HEALTH, lots of joy and hope to see him, his extraordinary musician friends again and I'm excited to see what we hear and see from Sting.

Andy is unique, but Dominic took his place and fits perfectrly. I've seen The Police once and then I saw 4 concerts of Sting with Dominic. He is phenomenal. Last co cert was may 2024. They were playing only 3 people, just like The Police. Dominc made such a good job. His playing is so tasteful...

dear LAWRENCE PERYER, so this is a great documentary that I haven't ever heard about until just now in October 2023, and I'm a huge Sting and Police fan! Was this made cut and edited, just for the "Fan Club" DVD?

When I read your comment I thought so, but having seen it and their conversation afterwards, it makes perfect sense.
The drummer(?) wants greater flexibility and goes to his more experienced bandmate to help him.
Why a toilet? Maybe that had the best acoustics for filming and was a private space.
I don't see anything wrong with it.

Apparently this project was a stepping stone to the Police Certifiable tour. Kind of annoying the "documentary" used a bunch of unrelated studio tracks as wallpaper.

Weird that he would adopt a police type rock band to perform police material without Stewart or Andy. What credibility would such a 4 piece rock combo have without the work of Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. Answer: Zero!
