What a fighter! I met You in Modena in 2004 when You came with Andy Howson who fought Simone Grenzi. I was working with the promoters of the event in the backstage for security: It was a great honor to meet such a champion..sure my favorite nowadays! Respect from Italy!
I see me hitting him every time, but getting my ass slammed to the ground after. I think that leg sweeps really are amazing defense, if you can dampen the kick properly, and Liam has one of the best reaction time and speed i've ever seen
hi Liam, would you consider recording these sessions in slow-mo? It would really help to capture details of the techniques. Commentary on top of the video would be awesome, especially when you want less experienced viewers(as myself) to notice certain steps/techniques/openings/etc. Thank you for sharing your sessions.
Can someone explain why taking a body kick and then catching it is a good thing to do in MuayThai? For example the slow motion sequence 1minute 49seconds in. Why is Liams reaction to eat the kick and then catch and sweep his opponent? Seems like a bad idea eating body kicks just so you can catch them, no?
@@OmgGamingFTWlolz I guess in a street fight you would definitely rather eat the body kick and sweep your opponent. So I guess this rule makes sense from that perspective. But In a muay thai fight you are taking damage to your body which will slow you down right? And he takes very damage from getting swept. So you are winning points but taking damage which is a weird concept. And your opponent is losing points while damaging you and taking very little damage in return. Seems a bit strange, no? Like you are incentivized to eat a kick flush to the body.

Liam is so impressive, when I imagine myself sparring him, I see myself getting dismantled 🤕

Top quality sparring love seeing how easy Liam makes it look off balancing or taking down Dan McGowan who is also a quality fighter himself!
Such a pleasure to watch! Respect!!

You usually step in to the kick a little to jam it, loses a bit of power. Some people are just hard bastards though
in Thai scoring the sweep scores significantly higher than landing the body kick.

You step to the side as you catch it so you don't take the impact
Liam Harrison moves so damn quick for such a stocky man... wtf!!!
He fights at like 63kg I wouldn’t say he’s stocky bro
And where are the double feet?)
I’d go to bad co over Thailand tbh 😂
Is that the Stone Roses I can hear?
👍👍👍
Ridiculous, no disrespect to Dan cause he is shit hot in his own right but Liam schooled him... need that Rodlek rematch ASAP!!!
Es penoso ver qué en este Sparring no luzca el trabajo de compañerismo, aunque Liam sea tan bueno
