I would imagine it's probably new code that does something like this: When drop-off is pressed, clear villager action queue, queue an action for them to to go to nearest drop-off point for their resource, then queue an action to find the nearest resource and continue the harvesting action. Not sure how the resources are done, but if this doesn't work for let's say gold and trees as well as hunt and trees then it sounds like hunt and trees could be more closely programmatically related, like instead of being different classes/objects they are just the same class/object with a flag like "Consumable(tree)" and "Consumable(food)" instead of "Tree" and "Food". The actual action queue that you can manually do shift-clicking might actually queues actions like "after you are done with this action, act as if you were clicked to coordinate x,y", which means this bug would not fire then 🤔 Or something like that, I dunno lol
If the collection code were so inflexible as to make this impossible, then Mayan's bobus wouldn't work, the Portuguese and Polish bonuses wouldn't work, and the Vietnamese tech wouldn't work, to say the very least.
