For real! She's not mentioned often for vocals in KPop, but her voice has always been on my top list! She has the ways to touch our hearts. I really wish we can get more OSTs if not solo 🙏
I never doubt Sunny when it comes to singing. In SNSD she was not given enough time/parts to showcase her voice, SM your niece has the talent. Kindly give her the solo she deserves. Sunny Saranghae!
Unfortunately, she doesn't want a solo. Its sad that she lacks the confidence to pursuit a solo music career because coach at SM told her during trainee days that her natural voice was boring. This is the reason she was focused to sing with the aegyo voice her entire career. SM niece didn't do anything for her career but made her a target to the public. So much hate for something she had no control of. You don't choose your family. I say she was the most talent yet it was hidden her entire career. We only get snippet of it during times like this when she does anything that doesn't involve SNSD.

In my opinion, I think it also affected/affects her when people connect or point out her uncle is Lee Soo Man wherever she may be (usually in variety shows).. before she even debuted people were doubting her and said that she was heavily favored for debuting with SNSD because of her connection with her uncle which is not true because obviously she's incredibly talented and deserves to be with SNSD. I don't want to overthink nor declare that these are her feelings but I think there's a part of her that is traumatized by the people's comments about this matter that's why she always gives the limelight to her members and not to herself..
She herself doesn't want to make a solo debut , yet ... She prefer doing variety shows... And SM doesn't have much control over her.. As Lee SM's niece, she has "free reign" in SM.. She can do whatever she wants....
