Every time I listen to this song, I can't stop crying. Tengri's missing for her daughter is fully integrated into the song🥺
Tengri is from inner Mongolia of China. He was singing for his homeland -inner Mongolia where it has lots of grassland, sheep and horses. He lost his first daughter when she was 6 years old. So this song was for her as well.
@Mc An - Thank you for sharing information about the song! 😊
chinese version tears in heaven?
Mc An nai si
This is where “and you, my girl’ comes from. The girl does not refer to a lover, but his daughter.

This song gets me every single time I hear it,every day I glisten to it as the sun comes up and agai6as the sun goes down. I love,lo love you guys doing this channel together...and I know Tingre would.

thank you for your comment! 😊
This song was sung to his childhood hometown of Inner Mongolia grassland. Twenty years ago, he wrote this song to express his praise for the beautiful scenery of his hometown and regret that the grassland was overexploited and lost its original appearance. Tengri means "sky" in Mongolian. One of his daughters is called "Gagil" in Mongolian, which means "earth". Gagil died of a serious illness when she was six years old. Now he sings this song to lament that he can no longer return to the grasslands of the past and to miss his lost daughter sadly. My English is not very good, I hope you guys can understand my meaning.
This song was made about 25 years ago by Tengger
Thanks for telling us some information about Tengger and his song! 😊
He is innerMongolian and Mongolian music instrument playing background.👏👏👏
He is so so amazing :) The control and vocie ability is seriously incredible!
Yes it was so powerful! 😊
我觉得这些用一只耳麦听歌评价根本没听出这首歌真正的灵魂!
Thank you for your comment! I wish we could listen in person, but that's difficult... 😊
腾格尔经历了很多,经历了白发人送黑发人,当年腾叔的女儿去世对他的打击很大,其实到最后就一句话,人生不过如此
感谢喜欢啊!不容易啊,一个可爱的外国小姑娘。
@haojiji - Thank you for your nice compliment! 😊
The song seems like talking about his homeland, but there's inner meaning of it. His daughter die during an accident before the song was released.
He wrote this song way before his daughter was born. But this may be the first time he sings this song after her death (she died of cancer) so he did put more emotion into the song.
Love you both...I’m a dad with two sons and a daughter...what a great model of fatherhood you are dad ... blessings.
My cheeks hurt from watching you two react to this performance. Great reaction!
I found that both Mongolian and Native American have very very profound connection with nature/mother earth. This song just remind me of the Last of the Mochicans by Alexandro. Both songs are full energy, emotion and love. And there are many sounds/factors of nature.❤️
Love your reaction.❤️
His vocal, performance has TON of emotion. As audience I really feel his passion and how he extremely love homeland. Not only that, I can see the sky, the lake and the grass land which you won't be able to see the end. The sky is above, the ground is open and green gives me the feeling of the clear mind. His voice brings me to this scene right a way from the start to the end makes me love it as well.
The little girl was so cute, keep going on. Best wishes from China
This is the most sincere reaction to this song
t1[a]n0 - Thank you so much for your nice comment and compliment! 😀
Man.....this one gave me goosepimples....AMAZING !!!!
Yes this one is amazing and unique! Glad you liked it! 😊
Guys even tho the video was beautiful! I love the bond here as father and daughter. Y'all are too cute. One thing I do ask is don't ever be embarrassed by your dad and push him away to seem cooler no one will ever love you more than your parents. Thank you for the beautiful video.
Thank you so much for your nice words and comments! You are very nice to say that! 😊 I'll try! 😀
I‘m 27 and I listened to this song since I was a kid. The sing is the songwriter, you get this right.
Wow! Thanks for sharing your memory and thanks for your comment! 😊
At the start they are doing traditional throat singing. Loved your reactions. Looking forward to seeing more😁🌺🌺
I really enjoy your reaction! You are right that the song is actually written by Tengri!
Yay!! You did this one, really good!
A bit background: He used to be a famous singer and king on the grassland. However, he lost his daughter in 2010 when she was 5 years old, and he stopped singing. This is almost the first time he came out to sing after that happened.
So you could take that kind of emotion, and listen to it again with your dad, but try to turn up the volume with both sides of earphones on.
@Pinyi Yao - Thank you so much for your nice comment and thank you for giving us some nice information about Tengri Tengger and his song! 😀
@Melbourne King - Thank you for adding some information and comments! 😊
The song is about the singer´s hometown.
Lyrics:
The blue sky...
The clear lake...
The green grassland...
Here is my homeland.
Handsome horses running...
Holy white sheep...
And you my girl...
Here is my homeland.
I love you!!! My homeland!! My home!! My heaven!!
Hoo~~(Wolf growl)
Let everything be natural.
Thank you for reacting to this. He is a legend in my country. We appreciate him.
which country?mongolia?
Bin Da China. He comes from Inner Mongolia, one of Chinese provinces.
@@xyyang8179 haha i'm chinese too!

@@xyyang8179 he is a legend in Mongolia too.
Yes he made this song about 3 decades ago, he is a Mongolian, his homeland is Inner Mongolia, China. He used many Mongolian elements in it. He is so unique and powerful to control his voice, also emotional. he is really awesome!
I agree! His performance was so awesome! 😊 thanks for sharing some details!
the love between you father and daughter moved me much more than the song😋
Thank you so much for your nice compliment! 😊 I'm happy you liked our video!
I guess you right about this, but you missing the fact, they are both alive, so they could build this love, but not everybody so fortunate.
@Roman Pagoda - 木匠弹琴 is probably just making a nice compliment, but you're right too. Tengri Tengger deserves lots of praise for his awesome emotional performance! 😊My dad and I were impressed! We're so sorry he lost his daughter 😢
Great song! That was wonderful, thanks for sharing
Thank you for your nice comments! It's our pleasure! 😊
Absolutely adorable~!
this was a great song sung by a great artist ... what more can one say about it ... nice reaction
Wow, so unit and nice singing!
When people watch this performance they are in aww. But when I do, I am in tears. I'm a mess and I'm a grown man. What's going on???
The starting music is a combination of musical instruments and Mongolian Throat Singing
love it so much
He is singing "I love you, my grass land, my home land, my heaven" My Mongolia. Starting Mongolian instrument "Morin khuur" and throatsong "Hoomei".
Singer name is Tenger, from Mongolian The Heaven
Name is The Heaven, songs name is The Heaven. He is Mongolian, but he is singing Chinese. Famous singer in Mongolia and China.
i'm from Mongolia(independent country), he is Inner Mongolia(Chinese part). Mongolia and Inner Mongolia one nation, one language, one traditional, one religion.
Thank you for explaining some details about this singer and song! You are nice to do that! 😊
sweet reaction
Thank you so much! 😊
I like your reaction! You look so cute. And the smile on your face all the time.
Thank you for your nice compliment! 😊
His song exppresses he love his beautiful hometown Neimenggu very much.
Haha partly right. But it’s very sad that he wrote this song for his early- dead daughter. The song paradise he describes so Zen so peaceful, that he hope he can recreate home for his little princess
I think every time when I listen to this song, I get emotional. In China, when people grow older, they need to leave their hometown to another city, like London to UK, New york to US, to earn for living. Some people may stay leave over 10 years without going back to their hometown. It's more like a homesick song.
You two are so cute!
I like your videos very much. The musical instrument at the beginning of the music is horse-head string instrument, (It was named after a horse's head carved on the handle)which is a traditional Mongolian musical instrument in China. The magical voice is called “Hu mai” in Chinese(the Chinese pronunciation of this word sounds like"who my" in English)
现在每次听都不自觉的泪眼,或许人年纪越大心越柔软......
The instrument the two men were using in the begining is called the "morin khuur" which is a mongolian national instrument and the weird noise they were doing was mongolian throat singing and the clothing the two men were wearing was mongolian national clothes called "deel"
He is one of China most treasured and talented artist from Inner Mongolia China
That is very special
Thanks! I'm happy you liked the video! 😊
His name is 腾格尔 ( Ten Ge Erer). He is Mongolian from China.
Thank you for describing his name for us! 😊
Hi is name tenger and sky
爷俩张的真像,祝幸福~
Once you get to know the story behind the song, it will make you really appreciate the song.
Soul singer, amazing song~~ 👍👍👍
I agree! He's awesome! 😊
The singer made this song. His name is Tengger. The word Tengri is Heaven in Mongolian. Tengger is probably a variant of the word Tengri. The author is a Mongolian Chinese (or Chinese Mongolian, which I am not sure), born and raised in Inno mongolia. This song was the theme of his
autobiographical film《黑骏马》(The Black Horse), which he played by himself. The film was dedicated to a black horse he had in his childhood in his grassland hometown. I watched that film many times in my childhood and it always made me in tears. You can listen to the original version of "Tengri" from this link: ua-cam.com/video/rBquB6L_Zk8/v-deo.html He also made another famous song in Mongolian, called "Mongolian", which was also quite famous in China. ua-cam.com/video/HfzTGWK2lnk/v-deo.html

His name means Sky in Mongolian. And he is singing last row by Mongolian. (Dayaraa tuyaran hayaran bainaa hu)
从读书时候在民歌节听到腾格尔先生唱这首天堂的时候,就觉得特别的美,那时候那段呼啦啦啦是用童声的,虽然少了些草原的味道,但是也是特别美。
Homeland in chinese mean the village we live, home is the house
He is Singing with the Mongolian Rock Band,Hanggai. You should check that out one day.Hanggai is singing Khoomai,Mongolian throat singing. They can make 2,sometimes 3 different sounds and control them individually.
Wow, thank you for teaching me about this unique type of music! 😀
amazing voice

I don't know this songs because I'm pilipino. But I fell here voice... It's amazing voice...maybe he is lgent in China.

This was one of my favorite songs of the singer this year. Hua hua did a completely different version of this song, Heaven. You can find it on Hua English sub Channel. It might be fun to watch this one also so you can see the difference between the two
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! My dad says he wants us to react to Hua Hua's version too when we have time. 😊
The song was for his daughter in heaven, who died at age 8
That's a good reason for his emotions. Thanks for explaining! 😊
Tengar - 58 year old famous singer from inner Mongolia.
The first impression to the song is really accurate: YES, he had made a new style of singing which feels like what he do is between yelling and singing. According to the acient document, yelling is a comment way for the acient scholar to express their feeling to the mountains, rivers, and some other landscape.
I mean acient chinese😂

This kind of music style in China around 1970-1990 was very very popular. you can find lots of this kind of music in these years, but now these artists are old and no new songs.

《天堂》這首歌,是騰格爾思念病逝的女兒創作的。
这歌小三十年了,以前是愉悦开阔,现在这个版本,有了更多渡过沉痛悲伤彷徨后的坚持。
满目沧桑
he made this song, for his home, the Mongolian province. That's green grassland, lake, horse and sheep. But now, the life is changed. I have listening the song before about 10 years. I could not understand the emotion. Today, I grew up and leave my home. So I can understand this song.
@赵盛开 - Thank you for sharing your nice comments and experience! 😊
👏👏
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 😊
You are right this song he wrote over 20 years ago but later he dedicated this song to his only daughter who died at an early age.
Also, he held a concert on September 14, 2001, shortly after the September 11 attacks during which he dedicated his song 'Heaven' to the victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
So you can see this song, not an only powerful song but the song with deep meaning and history.
I was so sorry to hear about his daughter. I'm sure it helped him put more emotion into the song. He was very thoughtful to think about the 9/11 victims. Thanks for telling us that! 😊
Ganje thank you for your reply i honestly did not expect it. It was very nice of you. I notice you reacted to Hua Chenyu as well. I came across one video it was released back 2015 Hua Chenyu sang a duet with Aska Yang and the name of the song 'King &
Beggar'. Please react to this video they both have amazing voices and they performed in such a beautiful harmony you have to hear it and it has English subs.
You two so much remind me of my friends, they have the same beautiful father and daughter relationship, except he has tweens and they are all grown up.

Glad you liked it tobi! 😊
难怪小时候长辈经常听这首歌,现在算是懂了。
Mc An is right: it is mongolian stuff. They have their own unique style. I think I recognize the theater: in Hunan. Hunan is the scenic cultural capital of China. A bit like Holliwood. G.E.M. Tang from Hong Kong did there astonisching performances in that theater. Also Jeffrey Li and Celine Tam we saw in AGt gave there a performance younger -- a duet. What's going on in Hunan is interesting to follow. Hunan is also a kind of Venice... VENICE! that should be your beloved Chinese city!
Jeffrey Li is from Toronto Canada. He is the kid Simon gave a dog. Celine is from Honk Kong, like Gloria GEM Tang. G.E.M. = Get Em Move !
Thank you so much for so much useful information. Wow! I hope to visit Venice someday! I don't know if I can ever see the other Venice! 😀
Thanks for telling me more about Jeffrey Li and GEM, too! You must have seen us make a video of them, right?

Jeffrey Li: I have that video on my HD. Did not know you react at his performance. That kid sings a little everywhere on the planet. He was flushed by the judges because to many singers. Was the same with Sophie Fatu.
The girl means his daughter. When he wrote this song, he lost his daughter. I'm not sure she died because of a car accident or disease.
Some knowledge you guys could be interested in.
1. This singer, Tengger is from Inner Mongolia which is part of China. And the country, Mongolia was also part of China, but Russia Empire occupied it and controlled it until the Soviet Union broke up.
2.Mongolian people live in Inner Mongolia are more than people living in Mongolia country.
3.Moreover, Mongolian people living in China still use traditional Mongolian characters. However, people in Mongolia country use the characters written like Russian characters. Because Russia controlled this country for a long time by their army.
4.Mongolian people in China now think they are Chinese. In opposite, Mongolian people living in Mongolia dislike China, because they hope to be independent and don’t want be part of China again.
