- We had the honor of talking to, Motorsports legend, Erik Buell at the Long Beach Progressive International Motorcycle Show. Erik talked about the re-launch of EBR, the new lower priced 1190RX and SX as well as the brand new, Urban hooligan bike, The Black Lightning! Let’s go spend a few minutes with Erik Buell!
And that my friends is the whole problem, ''I don't want to sell a whole lot of them'' only to enthusiasts???????? This is a proven path to failure, you need to sell bikes to everyone. Sell one to grand mom that would never ride, as long as you sell one. And now EBR closed doors again, I meet Mr. EBR, I have two of his bikes and I get it, these bikes are awesome. But if you do not care about sales you will not be making bikes for long. That is just fact my friends.
I would buy one of these. Are they still on the go and dealerships uk ?

Man, how often do you get to talk to a guy who's name is on your bike? Pity I read reports EBR is shutting their doors? I'm still waiting for the Erik Buell / Jay Leno's Garage episode. He was in SD and they didn't stop over at Jay's Garage?????
It really saddens me to see them disappear, once again. Eric was so excited about the companies future, as were we. It's very sad!
Agreed Although he could see a revival of the Buell brand somewhere else. Harley announced 50 new models, in the pipeline for the next 5 years focused on new riders. Also they announced the revival of the VR 1000 program!
I think that the Harley-Buell relationship has been dead and buried. I could be wrong, but I don't see them moving in that direction. Either way, I wish someone with big bucks would just go in and buy EBR and keep it alive. Maybe we should bug Jay Leno.
He'd need EBR to change dramatically. Less Ducati-ish, and maybe more Tesla-ish. He'd have to go greener. That seems to be the route. lol
