Hi Judi, thank you for watching! We had a lot of fun making it and documenting the process of such a labour intensive cake. I think you should make a few to test first and then decide if it's worth it to make more for a fundraiser :)
@@StephandBruce I totally agree and was thinking the same thing... I had a small cafe... and always "Tested" food days before a big event... First thing is I need to know a ballpark figure of how much I could sell these for... then I would know if it is worth it. I will be about to get the Strawberries from a farm that is close by. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me and educate me too *smile
Oh how I wish the strawberries we get here in California were as sweet, juicy and red throughout as the ones you guys are able to get. If I'm making a filling, any fruit but especially strawberries, I use frozen. From there it's the lucky of the draw as to whether or not the fresh strawberries here are sweet, juicy and red throughout ☹ Nice looking dessert. I'm sure it taste even better... 😋

How do you make sure the strawberries are clean and all the bugs are off?
The strawberries looks so delicious. I wish I could try one. I never heard of that cake.
It’s a classic French cake and one of our favourites- we hope you get the chance to try it one day!
