"Don't let your knowledge of mathematics artificially limit what you think is physically possible" This should be written in stone on the front of every scientific institution.. Just replace math for the discipline in question.. Brilliant.. ;9)
Yay I was right! Like I said, when you mentioned the thickness I knew what you meant--or thought I did. My feeling of seratonin rushing through my brain was knot falsely conceived happiness; I CAN still do this stuff, despite enduring far too many years full of stats&void of fun maths since my fifth and final gradyeeaishun.
This makes sense after seeing it. But I think it might be a good idea to put something in the Pt. 1 video about cutting still being legal, just not cutting through the full thickness of the band. The manner in which the last video was presented left me thinking that you could only use twisting to obtain this result. Though I might be one of the only ones who thought this.
Cool trick! Though I'd say that you could have waited like a week, and that way given some ppl the time to try and figure it out before uploading the part 2 ;)

Excellent video. Makes learning topology fun.
The second you showed the Torus in the beginning with the cuts I thought why the hell did I forget about that.
I'm trying to untie my Christmas lights and this did not help. Boy, am I disappointed.
“The knife is sharp and the human body is basically a torus so be careful not to cut yourself into a knot.” Hahahahah!! Brilliant.

That should be "not," not "knot." :-)
