It's fair to say that you cannot ignore cup results, especially who wins the whole thing.
6th and 7th place in the Prem in the game are potential places for European football the following season but differently from the top 5 who are guaranteed to earn it. The colour bars next to the positions in the table show it.

You’ll have to edit them prior to starting a career mode save on PS5, unfortunately you can’t edit them once you start a save

@@GoodwinHDI understand that too but you’ve a significantly better chance of winning if you play the game instead of simming, you sim every single game to let the team you’re managing play their game I feel like you should do it with every game
Whilst I understand your point, it’s beyond pointless building a team to the point where they’re good enough to reach the UCL final to not see them in action, not to mention some videos I do are 8 seasons long, there has to be a worthy pay off not just a simulation victory
Some of the games granted are very one sided but others are seriously close & a lot of people do really enjoy watching the final too
