Your story really reminds of Lauren Conrad from The Hills because she was an intern for Teen Vogue and I always thought her job looked so fun!.

“11 years ago” *automatically feels old* No but this put me in my feels because you were the first beauty guru I ever started watching around that time. I was 12 (maybe even 11) years old and in 6th grade wanting to learn about painting my nails and what mascara was. Now I’m almost 23 finishing college with an obnoxious collection of nail polishes and makeup lol your NY videos were my favorite! I still remember dying to find out why you were there because you couldn’t tell us until when it was over at the end of the summer lol! LOVED this video and would LOVE more story times since I was so invested in you guys for so long. I’m really happy you’re still making videos!
It’s so interesting and nice hearing you opening up about stuff from your older UA-cam days- it’s really refreshing! There are so many amazing/crazy stuff that have happened to you over the years and I bet you have lots of interesting stories to tell- I remember your life always seeming really glamorous and mysterious, especially in the pre-Instagram days (crazy). I think I discovered yours and Blair’s UA-cams around the time that you interned- but I can’t precisely remember because I was only nine years old!! So honestly I don’t even think that I knew what New York or an Internship was (especially as I’m British!). I still love you guys all these years later though and honestly I probably would have turned out very differently if I’d never discovered either of you two- so thank you.
Elle, you’re one of those girls who can pull off glam style and also completely casual with your hair in a messy bun and still look so chic! I’ve always been jealous of your hair! Mine is very fine and styles so different. You do you. Always Gorgeous!

I loved seeing your videos during your stay in New York. So happy to see you doing a storytime about these years because I remember at the time you weren't able to talk much about it. I'm really enjoying these story videos. Definitely fills in some of the blanks and answers some of the questions we have had over the years watching you. You are in a weird situation that many other UA-camr's are not in yet. Because you've been on here so long it's wild to be able to look back and see how far you've come because most of it is on the internet.
This was so fun to watch! Clearly I've been watching your videos for forever since I remember watching real-time your videos when you were interning in NY! I can't believe its been over a decade :) I would love to see more of these "behind the scenes" storytime videos reminiscing on other parts of your life now that so much time has passed.

So interesting, loved this Elle ❤️ I've seen so many "youtubers" move to LA and a few months later they'd upload a "Anxiety and Depression" video. It's so nice to see your face light up when you talk about LA. I can tell it was your fit. I've moved around a lot, and London England and Toronto definitely give me the correct vibe. Totally get what you mean about a city fitting you.

I remember being in my first year at university (2008), lonely in my new dorm and when I found you I was obsessed! I still remember your video from your hotel room about the internship. I remember thinking WOW this is incredible she’s made it! Can’t believe that was 12 years ago! Allthatglitters21 taught me so much (Putting Lush bath bombs in a bowl, contour, started my obsession with candles ‘Leaves’. You were my first youtuber :) xxx

Seventeen used to be my favorite magazine, when I was in high school. And it's so nice to have you here making videos again, when I've been watching you since the very beginning. It's like having this nice experience from your past return, it feels really heartwarming.
Ok I’m only about 1/4 the way through but this is so Hills meets Devil Wears Prada I love it!! I’m a more recent subscriber so it’s fun to hear these older stories 😊 can’t wait for videos all week!
