This one moves in silence…movies, television, and excellent consistency with his musical art. Much respect.
I had no idea
the internet due way too much so I actually respect artists that keep it private
@@wanda01141 I agree 100%. The internet should be used as a tool for producing, not a diary.
His mindset and the way he articulates his thoughts is very impressive. You can tell he’s influenced by the greats🙏🏾
The calmness of the interview and how he expresses the life experiences is amazing.
No doubt
Joey badass is the most underrated rapper! He’s on another level that most of the industry hasn’t gotten to. Very wise for his age too
Lit🔥🔥🔥
I've said this for awhile as well.. everytime peo mention Kendrick and Cole
He’s dope asf. He’s what Raz Fresco would of been if Joey never existed.
@@waltera7796 agreed!
@@dfluence I'm happy I'm not the only one. I've said for years that Joey should be mentioned when you mention Kendrick and Cole.
Phenomenal interview. So proud to witness the evolution of Joey as someone who has been a fan since 2012. 2000 is a great body of work and I hope it continues to get all the recognition it deserves.
His self awareness / knowledge of self reminds me of Tupac. I’ve never sat down and chose to listen to his music but this humbling interview has got me curious to hear his album.
@@sherondahi11 you been doing yourself a deservice GO BUMP JOEY NOW
Lit🔥🔥🔥
@@tekkadawn6685 Thx you for the encouragement…. I’ve been playing his latest album all weekend 👍🏾💚
Man I feel for Joey when he said he never thought he'd make it pass 25... I attempted suicide when I was 22 because I was lost and had no one to turn too and lacked guidance. Now im 35 and im glad I cleaned up my act and grew up with a new look at life. Please if you are down and low call or talk to someone asap!
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Join the congregation and jevohah (God) shall set you free!
Glad you here 👏
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿❤️
Proud of you!!
A black man who is a good conversationalist .. top tier. - Great interview!
Im grateful for this man as an artist, I feel like I grew up with this dude, very nostalgic feels everytime I listen to this man, fell in love with the music since I believe middle school 1999& etc. and never stopped, from a broward king one love to a ny king
Fr bro, freshman year bumpin 1999 then b4DA$$ came out, we watching this man evolve Fr
Jozif💯🖤
😒
The impact pro era and asap made in soflo is underrated
fact nostalgia is the right word
1999 is an all time classic. Love to see Joey’s growth. Brooklyn stand up
The Breakfast Club could actually flourish with just Char + Envy. This was a solid interview.
Ur wishes came true😂
Nobody tunes in for Angela Yee questions 😂🤷🏾♂️
@@yungkane93 not nobody 🤣🤣🤣👍🏻
or they should replace yee. she's not impossible to replace
You just now understanding that?
He’s doing so good. He’s playing the hell out of Nique & 2000 is a dope album. I got into his music late but, I’m glad I did.
You beautiful
Also in a Netflix/Tribeca Film Fest film “Beauty” as well
I feel like he's trying to hard on Power. He tries too hard to be gangsta. Every line he says, he has the gangsta stank face.
@@gabrielclark3664 just stop man, he’s doing a good job 😂
If you haven’t already, you should listen to his debut album 1999
I love how Joeybadass is so unapologetically him. He has not folded , but elevated his mind and I can see the growth. I love all his albums.. been a fan since day 1. Would love to see him do a rap elite song with Mos Def, Fabulous and him. Also, a song with Dwele or Bilal.
This brother speaks with so much intelligence and common sense it's a pleasure to hear a young black man speaking this way I almost shed a tear
His music is so relaxing you can vibe out no skips ! Then come home and watch raising kanan!
Criminally underrated artist since 2014
he's not he just stepped into his own light and away from our expectations of him "taking the crown". Based on the album he took a fall back for his mental. I respect it.
Yea and my boy could act fosho
Underrated is overused nowadays. Ppl act like "not as popular as they should be" and "underrated" is the same thing
Not nomore son slept on his potent
I love that he’s getting praised for 2000 now, but his album dropped a month ago, and you got radio personalities like these guys not even hip to the quality of the work because they didn’t even go check for it.
I am a believer that the media landscape in hip hop needs more informed personalities hosting and interviewing.
I’ll be a part of this new wave.
FACTS
Been watching this guy since 2012 amazing to see his progress in life💯
That conversation on emotional intelligence very necessary. The Breakfast Club has done some great interviews, this was a GREAT interview!!! Joey was super transparent & they asked him great questions.
I didn't know much about him prior to seeing him on "Raising Kanan" but Im glad I tuned into this interview. I learned more about this very intelligent soul👑. Very well done Charla. ❤👑
Cool 😎
Ever since he dropped the album/mixtape “1999” I been following him ever since. He always been something special for New York/East Coast
Same
Joey should try his hand at an “artsy” rap project kinda like a TPAB I feel like he’d nail it, he got the mind for it. Wish bro success in whatever he does tho
He BEEN an incredible actor… ya’ll need to watch Mr.Robot. One of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
This was an incredibly authentic and fruitful interview. Many of us should be encouraged to practice emotional intelligence daily. Joey has definitely evolved and exudes an energy that only comes from doing the deep inner work. I appreciate him being asked meaningful questions throughout. Kudos to the Breakfast Club. I hope to see many more meaningful conversations with guests. We all can learn from this.
He’s next up as a great rapper turned actor. I hope he pursues more roles. He’s awesome in Raising Kanaan!
He is lead in a great movie “Two Distant Strangers”. It is really good.
He is awesome as an actor!
Facts🔥👏❤
He’s so wise beyond his age . I can listen to Joey talk all day.
Joey has always been dope to me. He's super talented and his personality is most definitely a vibe. One of my fave breakfast club interviews for sure :)
Hands down the best hip hop album this year thus far. Going toe to toe with Kendrick's project. Really good vibes and bars from beginning to end. Literally no skips. Feel very 90's style with modern day twists.
Bullshit the album is trash compared to his first albums😂clearly u work for the label
Meechy's comes out next week. Things bout to get interesting
I haven't listened yet, but so far I got vince, Kendrick, Denzel and saba as album of the year tier
It’s much better than Kendrick’s album lmao
how does it compare to westide boogs album ?
This guy is all talent! Actor, Emcee...I'm happy to see him continuing to prosper. "Make Me Feel" and "Survivors Guilt" is deep it's a what coulda been. All of it is dope really, I wish him continued success.
Great interview and it's great to see Joey finally get his flowers 💯
Finna listen to that old Joey right now before bed . Sweet dreams stuck in the 90s nineties babies it’s a matter of time
Very Dope interview.. especially the part when he spoke on the subject of emotional intelligence and self love.
Great to see so many awaken young men and women today I never really listened to his music but I'm definitely going to check out his work after this interview this interview was Great!!!💯💯🙏🏼
Me lol
I'm all the way from South Africa and believe me when I say his music is dope
u can tell which young artist respect the art via how much they know about the past. Joey is one of the young artist that knows the history
Gotta go listen now after this😌
Wow! Now that was an amazing interview! Gonna go listen to that whole album now!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Like how Joey stayed in his lane, and branch out to do other things. You don’t have to be a Drake. Just develop the best you.
This was a great interview! The tone stayed evenkill... no emotional crescendo's, just a point of contention to process the joy's and pains of Joey's journey. #ProEra4Life
Such a great interview! When they were talking about the whole Father and emotions subject that hit me! I'm 41 and I need to have a conversation with my father before it's too late.
Do it bro I’m 22 and my dad died I when was 9 and I would do anything just have 1 word with him.
Do it! I'm 38 and had so much hate in my heart for my dad and he reached out to me and all the things I thought I needed to say didn't even matter anymore. I feel such a relief of anger off my heart and mind, it's crazy because I really needed that without knowing that's what I needed. Do it for your mental ♥️
@@airtyler2488 Wow! I'm sorry for your loss bro! I will take your advice and hit my pops up! Thank you! ✊
@@nycgirltee Thank you for sharing! I needed to see this! I have a lot of anger, hurt, questions just bottled up! I'm a completely different parent than my father and I just can't understand why he wasn't there for me and my siblings! Thank God my mom did a great job with us and we all came out fine but kids still need their father!
@@randyw.233 no problem and yeah same here I had a lot of anger and animosity for him for the same reasons you mentioned and it made me a better parent too but I realized that holding that anger in was only hurting me sometimes we have to forgive for our own well being
Is it weird to say Joey’s speaking voice is very soothing?
Loved this interview!! Love Joey Bad Ass!! such a real New Yorker!! and Great Actor!!!
This was an incredible interview! I loved the wisdom he gained from watching his father evolve. We need to stop repeating false mantras, like "you can't teach an old dog new tricks". What you believe, you manifest. We can change whenever we want ... When we believe we are capable. Also loved his take on allowing his daughter to experience ALL of life because that is where the wisdom lives. We often spend so much time trying to shield our kids from life that we fail to realize that we are shielding them from LIVING! DOPE DOPE interview! And the album is 🔥
We often spend so much time trying to shield our kids from life that we fail to realize that we shielding them from living nice quote sis gonna steal this one 🙏🦾as reminder🙏

IKR!
The manifest thing is true tho for real.
Man Joey’s vocabulary is awesome, he speaks well.
Great interview! All three inputs from all three guys made it special
"Where I belong" one of the best rap songs released this year from his new album 🔥
I was just thinking the same thing
Not even close and I’ve been listening to Joey since Rejex
@@jaleelkhaleeq Great beat and meaningful lyrics trumps a huge majority of nonsensical and incoherent rap songs released this year.
give Joey badass 1999 a listen. I can go far to say that album is up there with pac me against the world
Didn’t even notice Yee wasn’t there until midway in the interview . This show won’t miss a beat with her gone
Great to see these 3 black men touch on a lot of topics that don't get discussed in an honest way. Great questions from both Charla and Envy.
Album is great, hope he gets a Grammy nom at least.
Joey's been killing it and you can tell he's matured a lot, he doesn't have the typical 27 yr old mentality
This is the best interview I've seen in awhile. Been rooting for him from day one.. I remember him first interview from school.. The growth is real👑
I really loved the interview Joey Badass addressed issues that needed to be heard in our community👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥. When he rhymes his voice does really remind me of MOS Def
This was a great conversation and interview 💯👌🏽 I look forward to checking out his music and watching more of Unique on power
Dope interview!!! Going to listen to that album during this weekend 💯
0:35-0:44
He's a fuk'n beast!! He's extremely intelligent, knowledgeable, woke, cerebral, but still have emotional intelligence. Joey's level of consciousness is remarkable. He's just cut from a different cloth.
So glad to see intelligent young brothas like this! Great interview and album is fire!!!
This was a great one !
Great great great interview. So so so glad we didn’t have to worry about them crazy interruptions that throws off the entire interview. Thank you
I feel like Joey is an OG in the game now. Salute Joey, one of the realest rappers from New York still keeping that new York sound alive.
Awesome conversation! I can’t say enough great things about Joey’s album…definitely one of the best albums this year. I’ve watched his old interviews over the years, but you can see and hear how much he’s grown. I’ve always said he raps like he’s been here before or should’ve been in the class with the ‘90s rappers. I think he should be in the conversation with the top lyricists because his projects are consistent and he’s gifted.
Incredible interview! Great conversation
I loved this interview..this young man is definitely blessed...keep striving..
Man I LOVE this.... It's so refreshing to hear a black man this young talk like this....he sounds more mature than ppl I went to high school with... And I graduated in 98 lol.... I hope more young men take after this and realize that some of the stuff we was taught was bs ✊🏾
Man always been a fan of Joe Badass honestly love it when people physically, spiritually, mentally grow and clearly he is proud of you Young King, keep that positive energy and and keep impacting and changing the world day by day and live life to the fullest you heard!!! Badman Joseph yes sir Nuff Respect King!!!
I'm glad to see this interview I hope nothing but the best for this young brother keep grinding love ya work 👍🏾
The fact that he got a stocking cap on his head💋💋 Takes me back… He’s a OG for that!
Great interview ... Just great to hear of a black man evolving on all fronts. Down right inspiring. Next stop listening to his album.
I'm remember watching The Therapist interview with Joey and he spoke on seeing a black hole when he closed his eyes and looked within. Glad he's doing way better 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
One of the best interviews I’ve seen in awhile salute to these men keeping it a whole buc!!!
I really enjoy Joey badass as an artist but this interview just solidified why, as a person he seems thorough! I look forward to hearing his new album!💓💓💓

Dope interview‼️ Growth is a blessing 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
"Then I got aunt viv'd off of wu-tang "🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dawg I thought I was the only one who caught that😂😂😂
He snapped when he started speaking about Emotional Intelligence 🔥
Much respect to Joey Badass!
Great interview!
I never followed him, but he’s so deliciously wicked in “Raising Kenan” that I had to look him up.
Man what a great interview, his intelligence words allowed me to take inventory of myself
A lot of jewels in the answers he gave. You can tell it was natural. Great interview.
This will help me. Always been been a huge fan. I can relate to a lot of what was said
Man, this is one of the best interviews I peeped in a minute. From being selfish with yourself to having a connection with your pops….all bases covered.
Joey album is crazy!🔥
I love all his success.
And that Rosenberg shout out was hilarious 🤣
His album is fire. It makes you feel like you’re back in the mixtape era of Friday Night Lights and So Far Gone. I appreciate it and it was my first time giving him a listen.
Thank Your Breakfast Club God Bless Everyone
One of the BEST breakfast club interviews this year! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm always proud to see men like this. Alot of the time we are not talking about the things Joey recognized within himself
Joey the Last of the Golden Era!
This is one of the best interviews this year 💯
Great interview.... period. I would watch it again.
Joey is an official NY Hip Hop Representative. Every album is on an apex level.

Joey badass so humble. I respect that a lot. Great interview
Back when I was in highschool Joey BadA$$ was said to be the next best rapper alive like on some 2Pac and Biggie type Shit and reflecting on it.. He’s still has that potential (personally think he’s there)🙏🏼 like literally pro era odd future type days were the prime of conscious Rap 😭 Joey I need you to drop nothing but boombaps ✊🏼 I am all for it broski
😆🤣😂
I love him he's so deep for a young man
Great interview 🙏🏾💙
Incredible Interview. 🙏🏾
Yo Char & Joey just said some real shit. I felt the same way when my parents split up when i was 17. I was just angry all the time but i held it in and just played it off. My parents split up really affected me for some years.
What a great interview . He’s such a interesting person . The only thing I like about a woman host also being there is touching on the soft things in his life . How he feels about love, marriage ,and the women in his life .
One of the best interviews I’ve ever heard… Phenomenal
This is a Gem!!! Thank you.
I enjoyed every second of this interview 🙌..I appreciate the topic about fatherhood, make me want to have a conversation with my own father. Joey dead ass said some real sh#t.
