Before retiring, for 25+ years, I was a consultant for Fortune 100 companies. I learned long ago to shop in the thrift stores nearest the wealthy communities. Their hand-me-downs are usually still in VERY good condition. By the time I retired, I had more than 100 dress shirts (paid 75 cents on average for each) 10 suits (between 60 and 150 each - some top shelf brands). Belts, shoes, and accessories were always bought at an outlet or discount store. The best part is when those who look like they paid top dollar for their suits asked where I got my suits... I just smiled. Best stores for this type of shopping I found to be AmVets...
I got a 22in Calvin Klein hard shell airplane carry on at a well known thrift store in the country. It had some wear and tear, plus I needed to remove quite a few stickers on the outside. Inside was perfectly clean, but I spot cleaned some areas and steam cleaned the rest. It retails for over $100 USD solo and I bought it for $10, and didn’t spend any money on cleaning it up because I already had everything. That is a 90% discount. Thrifting is my new favorite hobby.

I buy high quality fishing shirts at Goodwill that cost between 50 and 150 bucks, new. For 5 bucks each. I've got 25 of them. Close to 2 grand worth of shirts for just over a Benjamin.
i absolutely love thrift stores. i found a gucci patterned button up one time and bought it for $4. i researched it later and found that it is discontinued and rare, and now goes for $700-$900
I shop at stationery thrift stores. It's way more convenient. I wanted to buy a water bottle shaped like a doughnut. But the price was $60, so I went to a thrift store, and saw that the same water bottle was $18. Definitely would recommend.
i had gone to my first thrift store last october to get some stuff for my homemade halloween costume, it was cool there was some really nice stuff that id totally wear but the sucky part about it was that there wasnt much clothes (more specifically pants) that would fit me being someone with bigger thighs.. i was heartbroken. i havent been able to find the pants anywhere else 😫
