I agree that the video is so full of marketing jargon that it's impossible for the consumer to understand. I got my new XR lenses just yesterday and my experience has been excellent. About twenty minutes after putting them on for the first time and testing the distance vision and the reading range with success, I arrived at a local grocery store, which I frequent, and as I was walking toward the building, it was just a spectacular sight that I can't fully describe. Everything was more clear than I had ever seen them. By then, it was twilight and I went home to the computer screen, as is my routine before going to bed. Today, I drove 40 miles through the mountains to a site where I perform volunteer work inside a large building. There were no problems transitioning from distance to mid-range to close-up vision. The experience is somewhat different than my former Varilux lenses, as I find myself looking through the upper part of the lens for my computer screen, whereas I used to hold my head back just a tad. So, I've had the lenses for about 24 hours and I'm very impressed. I highly recommend these lenses.

Way too much marketing jargon in this industry. It is all about creating marketing perception to confuse the customer and drive up gross margins. Wish they would be transparent and cut to the chase. Please explain in detail how exactly the Varilux XR uses AI to improve the experience. Are they really using AI to improve the experience or using the word AI for marketing purposes?

Which would be good for a frontline ambulance worker? Lots of using data terminals, SAT NAV, strobing of blue lights on the window pillars and dash of the vehicle.

I have zero idea what these lenses actually do or how. Are these lenses, are they using electricity and some kind of software, are they lenses you could put in any glasses frame or do you have to buy some ugly virgin certified frame like those 3d movie glasses.

I asked for Crizal lenses when I ordered my glasses and instead they gave me a $50 coating…so mad right now!

Unfortunately, AI alone can not improve as much as a mathematician can. Because as a mathematician I had some experience with AI. I believe that a human mathematician is much better than AI alone.

This technology is certainly not for everyone. After needing a recent prescription change, my X series was upgraded to XR without my knowledge. My experience has been horrible. The sharpness that the glasses are trying to achieve is overwhelming. I feel like I am living in a bad 3D cartoon, at times. I have also noticed that objects that are shiny or vivid in color are now so intense, I can't stand it. I have also experienced nausea when I have to move my head quickly from one object to another. The exact opposite of what the lenses claim to do. Fortunately, optical store is going to replace these lenses back to my regular X series. I am counting down the seconds.

Is this a digital product or just glasses ? XR implies mixed reality

progressive lens tech actually has reached somewhat maximum exploration, they need something new to sell, more expensive, so they could make more money, works for some and dont for another, most are happy with physio or even comfort max, once again they need something new to offer
