If I wanted to use this as a stand alone power station could I technically just connect it to the boost converter and plug it into my Hota D6 charger? Also, could the Hota D6 charge this battery via a normal 120V AC source? If so that would be neat!
That charger has an input voltage range of 6 to 30v so you don't even need that boost converter.

Just out of curiosity what is the power loss on the boost converter? You were talking about potentially leaving 5% in the battery based on low voltage, but if that boost has a 5% loss then you are net 0
It's 95% efficient so it would be better to not use it if your power station can go down to 10v on DC input.
With something like that EcoFlow, how many RC style LIPO charges can one realistically expect to get? I do the math as I understand it and ~250 wH equates to like 3 or 4 6s 5000mah charges? The standalone LiFe might give 10-20 charges so we're getting closer to being useful!
Your lipos have a Wh rating on them. For example, I have a 4S 1100mah lipo rated at 16Wh, so if it's 100% efficient, you can charge it 80 times with this 12V battery. If you're just using it on DC power only, it's almost 100% efficient. Somewhere around 96 or 97%.
Lifepo4 tech is amazing. High charge/discharge cycle and longgetivity is always nice. I heared the only problem with lifepo4 is it is sensitive to temperature and can puff pretty easily. Usually cheap lifepo4 batteries are used and rebranded so in a way its scary to buy cheap ones. Really appreciate the capacity testing, using the load tester in the video and with no real way to record the data it must took a very long time to do. Great review, maybe next time review some sort of an all in one solarcharge controller,inverter combo? Just a video idea hahaha
I've never heard of a solar charge controller and inverter combo. They are always separate from what I've seen. LiFePO4 is most dangerous to charge below zero C, but this has a low temp protection sensor that will prevent that.
@@AlbertKimTV try searching up "eg4 offgrid solar inverter". This type of product is intresting as it is an all in one package with a solar charge controller, inverter, ac in for backup generator, etc.
Wow! A tad bit awkward to lug around, but nonetheless, I can see many useful applications for such a power supply. A simple field battery is perhaps what some might prefer over a portable power station. Great review!
Just depends on what your needs are. This is pretty versatile and holds a lot of capacity for the weight and cost.
