I’m gonna be honest: some of EA’s builds in the base game had really good bones to work with. Additionally: for those who want a tutorial… AnotherPlumbob made one of his own.
Honestly, with the exception of the mansions, I’ve always felt like Base Game always had decent floor plans. To an extent, I feel like they’re the perfect amount of “bad.” Bad enough that I feel that most Sims players can improve them with minimal effort, but not so bad that someone needs to completely rebuild the house from scratch.
I love when people renovate the base game using the base game 😍 I would love to see a renovation of the Brook Bungalow and the starter houses in Oasis Springs
The colour of the kitchen cabinets with that light green wallpaper!!! That’s so gorgeous! I’d love to see you renovate the BFF household as a poly relationship instead of a love triangle.
It is, I love all the color choices she made. And OMG that'd be a great change now that Lovestruck allows Poly as an option. Plus they deserve a reno; possibly even adding in the My Sims collection somewhere in the house haha as a big display piece since they fit on shelves nicely.
This was SUCH a good reno! I absolutely loved it. There’s a green painted brick wall?!? In Base Game?! You’re blowing my mind with these, I’ll take 14 of em
IDEA: Would love to see a multi-home build (apartments/trailer parks/etc) with the "it takes a village" attitude where the neighbours help a young single parent in raising their child. Could be a neat idea :)
I usually don't comment but I think it would be really fun content and content that you could keep doing for a while (so you have less video ideas you need to come up with, if that's something that you ever struggle with) would be renovating base game or renovating lots in worlds only using basegame and the pack that came with that world. idk if you've done that before, but it could be easier on you and a fun challenge. i like building in the Sims a lot, too, so i've done it for myself. Pinky promise, it's pretty rewarding to see the whole game redone, lol. But again, that's a pretty daunting task. Only do what you wanna!
It is amazing what a little natural light and some softer colors can do for a room. Love the new renovation. The big thing I want to know about T.O.O.L. is how to open it... LOL! I downloaded it with Better Build/Buy, and I really want to try it.
I think this might just be my most favorite base game renovation ever! It looks so good that I can barely believe there is no DLC involved. It's absolutely stunning 💖!!
Hi Gryphi! For your T.O.O.L video I was wondering if you could show us how to pull objects around? I always adore how it looks when people tug the towel racks in front of the kitchen sink so it looks like there’s a dish towel hanging there. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for another super cute build! 💕
I started renovating in one save all the houses ea did. It's been really fun to me. I think it would be nice to watch and see what you come up with. You are a wonderful and creative builder.
I really liked how you added the shelf by the top bunk bed! In college dorms, I had a lofted bed over desk setup and my most valuable accessory was a clip-on shelf, perfect for holding my glasses while I slept.
I love how balanced and well,thought-out your builds alaways are! This is such a cute, functional base game house. I'm definitely going to download it in one of my saves and make a little npc family for it.
This is SO cute! Honestly, I'd love to see you renovate all the EA builds in all the packs, haha. I love how you kept the main shape and style, but massively improved the layout and decorations. Gonna have to download this one ASAP! 💖
This renovation is so amazing! The way you brightened up the space while adding character I can actually see sims living there! Id love if you would organize your sims4 build videos you have so many great series id love to be able to binge specific ones I understand it would be time consuming but please consider ❤ p.s. I always use your EA code! I love your content and build style 😊
THIS HOUSE. I've tried renovating it a few times in the past and was never happy with my results. You did a great job! It looks so cozy and lived in haha. I'd love to see more renovations with pack limitations or going all out; I'd leave that up to your discretion. Personally I think it'd be WILD if you tried renovating that giant mansion, I forget what the name is now, that's in the neighborhood with the Spencer-Kim-Lewis household. ALSO I'm always eager to see what people would do now with the Spencer-Kim-Lewis house using For Rent because it's such a weird build but if they had renovated it into an apartment complex and had a smaller space with them as the live-in landlords or else they moved to another house and simply rented the entire space, it just feels like a really great way to get people's creativity going for a reno of such a weird build, you know? But I'm up for anything. I think it'd also be really nice if you did a renovation of a starter or cheaper home in every world, with just current Base game and that Pack but I'd also really enjoy just whatever renovations strike your fancy! OH! Someone mentioned the Del Sol Valley Museum, which is a classic, but one I'd love to see more of is the Willow Creek Gym. The overall idea is really cool but it bugs me whenever I've renovated it because there's a glitched out room on the second floor (edit: like many ancient base game builds, it was created before the room system was fully understood I think) and in general it's just so dark and a bit sad in spite of the interesting historical vibes. And I'd love to see maybe a renovation in Tartosa that includes some stuff from the Romantic Gardens pack, any other packs that fit the vibes, and Lovestruck; either a house or a venue lol to spice it up. Maybe transform the starter on that island or else spice up another house for the family living there? Also, not a renovation unless you want to do this for one of the pre-made parks but since toddlers can have play dates, it'd be really cool to see a Recreation Center built like a park, so has kid and toddler big play equipment, and a building of any size with I guess the requirements but like meant to be a place to "meet" for Scouts and it has a bunch of kid, toddler, and infant activities, plus maybe the dog park items and in the realm of fantasy some cat items so you could bring EVERYONE there for some of the less used items like the water slide and a custom sand box (since Island Living allows for that, just one of those low fences and some sand terrain paint with maybe some loose toys on top as decor lol.) You could either renovate that unplaced Park Lot the game gives us in our library, I forget the name of it, it's quite small, or if you want to be really ambitions, one of the bigger parks like the Willow Creek park or the Oasis Springs park (or maybe, for example, kick the Landgraabs out of their home, renovate it for this idea, and put them in some other house which you could also renovate for them deciding to live elsewhere I guess lol.) You could also transform that big clothing retail building in Magnolia Promenade into something that's way more in-door and Recreation Center vibes instead. Or transform it into a Spa because a lot of Spas don't have the room for a Yoga class so people set them up outside without cover and when it rains it's annoying lol. Or just renovate that building period, honestly renovating ANY of the Magnolia Promenade retail lots would be amazing. I think transforming one of them into a Cafe would be really cool too; I often drop a little cafe that I renovated, it's that one that's also in the Library and unplaced, into Magnolia Promenade. OH GOSH... I was trying to figure out what I was talking about and I forgot there are SOOOOO many builds that are just on the Maxis official gallery. I'd LOVE to see some renovations of those! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh ESPECIALLY that one from Movie Hangout because it's really just this stage, there's no interior AT ALL just the outside that they used for their videos. I tried renovated it once but failed lol. There's also some finished ones that I just never think about but it'd be fun to reno those using only the packs and current Base Game stuff. And then ofc there's just a lot of houses I tend to forget about period. The Old Salt House from City Living is PERFECT for literally any renovation I think. It could remain a residential, become a residential rental, some apartments, a community lot like a restaurant, a cafe, a retail space, a thrift store and boba tea shop (OMG that'd be interesting to see), a spa, a recreation center, a bar/lounge, a library, a community pool omg so many possibilities. I'm sorry I ended up typing this much haha. Edit: sorry for so many edits and suggestions but also, I've been meaning to recreate that shell in the promotional art on the gallery, it's an Oasis Spring house in the grassy area with a photo of a red-headed Sim but I'm not sure they exist as an actual lot and fam; they're just part of the site art. If you could find it on the gallery for a reno that'd be so cool but I have no idea how you'd find it. As a from scratch thing I always meant to like build the house and put that Sim in it, just maybe with an updated hair style or something lol.
Yep! You totally get the special event items from the gallery- unfortunately I had to do a fresh install on a new computer and lost all my login event items so I can only get them from the gallery now :(
I wish they would add the TOOL mod into base game itself so that the EA team could use it in base builds! (And then hire you to be their main builder bc everything you build w base game stuff is always beautiful)
A wonderful, inspired build, almost makes it difficult to believe it's BG only! I love it, as I really love all of your builds. I do have a question: as a person sensitive to light (I get migraines sometimes), I avoid overhead lights in real life whenever possible (basically I only turn them on in my home when I'm searching for something I misplaced haha). While the tiny saucers are really handy to help with the colors, layouts, and all, I tend to (almost) always delete them when I finish my own builds because I add other, more appropriate, overhead lights, or floor or table lamps. While some other creators frequently just don't add lamps to their builds at all (which I find to be a shame, because we have some beautiful lamp options in the game), I pay close attention to your builds (as a way to learn myself) and I know you DO add other lamps; however the saucers remain in the end in most of the rooms. Is this a personal preference or do you feel like the videos on YT perform better when the light in your builds isn't muted/atmospheric? I like adjusting lighting colors too (through TOOL in build mode 99% of the time) and find that for example, lighting a part of a room pink really makes builds interesting. Just as an example. Thanks! Really appreciate how open you are to feedback and looking forward to your TOOl tuto!
Might be funny to do a build using the most "inconvenient" objects in the game - eg. big ones like the cupcake machine or hard-to-navigate objects? Idk, something along those lines.
Could you maybe renovate the only residential in San Mysuhno that isn't an apartment? I think it's called something with Salt house or so. I really like the idea and the place of that house, but every time I see it I'm like nope, not gonna happen
Hello. Can you please update your Playlist and have a Playlist for all your overiews? It suchs trying to go through all your overviews and they are all over the place because bo Playlist for them
To be completely honest, I'd love for you to renovate all the base game houses. Love your style

I would like to see the home renovations of the Kim-Lewis , the Landgraabs and the Roommates :D
This is one of the cutest base game builds ever
aw ty!!

Would love a series where you renovate lots using just base game + the pack they're from! Your builds rule :)
This was SUCH a good reno! I absolutely loved it. There’s a green painted brick wall?!? In Base Game?! You’re blowing my mind with these, I’ll take 14 of em
I had the exact same thought! I’ve been missing out on that green painted brick
IDEA: Would love to see a multi-home build (apartments/trailer parks/etc) with the "it takes a village" attitude where the neighbours help a young single parent in raising their child. Could be a neat idea :)
That's so cute!! Can you make this into a series?
I usually don't comment but I think it would be really fun content and content that you could keep doing for a while (so you have less video ideas you need to come up with, if that's something that you ever struggle with) would be renovating base game or renovating lots in worlds only using basegame and the pack that came with that world. idk if you've done that before, but it could be easier on you and a fun challenge. i like building in the Sims a lot, too, so i've done it for myself. This reno turned out really cute! I'd LOVE more base game reno, preferably w/ a budget as well.
It is amazing what a little natural light and some softer colors can do for a room. Love the new renovation. The big thing I want to know about T.O.O.L. is how to open it... LOL! I downloaded it with Better Build/Buy, and I really want to try it.
I absolutely love this! A Willow Creek renovation would be absolutely beautiful!
I renovated that house and i made the kitchen up a bit higher than the rest of the house. This one is a great one to work with
I think this might just be my most favorite base game renovation ever! It looks so good that I can barely believe there is no DLC involved. It's absolutely stunning 💖!!

This little house always felt like it had so much potential to me, you did such an awesome job! I think i might try to renovate it too 😊
love to see what you can do with just basegame! i would love to see more of these reno's
I started renovating in one save all the houses ea did. It's been really fun to me.
I think it would be nice to watch and see what you come up with. You are a wonderful and creative builder.
ahh this is so cute, I would love a reno series!!

Hi Grphyi. I think you should make a house or an apartment(depends what you want) for a couple with complete different aesthetics
that sounds fun!
Nice to see you kept the original roofline, it has so much character and I don't get changing it
I’m on a road trip and have a long ride.. binge watching your speed builds!! 🫶🏻🩷
I love the quaint little details you put in; it really makes it feel like a home!
I love doing renovations, especially trying to stay within the budget of the house and minimize debug use. This was a really good renovation!
Please do more limited pack renovations like this! In any world.
A save file with Gryphi builds would be amaaazing!
I love how balanced and well,thought-out your builds alaways are! This is such a cute, functional base game house. I'm definitely going to download it in one of my saves and make a little npc family for it.
Can you renovate the museum in Del Sol Valley, please?
This house is so beautiful and I can't believe that's only base game ♥
This is SO cute! Honestly, I'd love to see you renovate all the EA builds in all the packs, haha. I love how you kept the main shape and style, but massively improved the layout and decorations. Gonna have to download this one ASAP! 💖
It’s amazing how much better you made it look!
It's a macroscope cause it's HUGE. 😅 Maybe one day we will get a small one.. more reasonably sized one.
It looks so much better
I would love to see you renovate any of the lots in Windenburg!
I would love more renovation builds!!
I'd love to see more base game renovations with just base game items. Maybe rennovate all the lots, even the townies?
I'm looking forward to the T.O.O.L video. I recently downloaded it and the numbers will be so helpful.
This renovation is so amazing! The way you brightened up the space while adding character I can actually see sims living there!
Id love if you would organize your sims4 build videos you have so many great series id love to be able to binge specific ones I understand it would be time consuming but please consider ❤

Aww thank you so much! The series I have are in playlists! I have a State Series Playlist, a Color-Drenched Apartments playlist, and a few others!

aww thank you!
This is such a good reno!!
i beg for more creators to make base game renovations! 😭
This is perfect! Why did you have to remind me about the laundry I have to put away 😫😂
So awesome!!! Wow!
Yep! You totally get the special event items from the gallery- unfortunately I had to do a fresh install on a new computer and lost all my login event items so I can only get them from the gallery now :(
I know as someone who doesn't have a million packs I would love to see more builds with only one or two packs
Nice Job!🌏
Its very cute 😊

Would looooove more basegame Reno’s like this one! Would even love one without using debug items, but that might be asking too much? 😅💀
Love it!
crack cabana i need to see made over its such a good house but sooo small :( also, you do base game builds so wonderfully, pls do more :D

@@Gryphi I totally get it! thanks for the reply and keep up the amazing work

You could renovate the camel back house that's on the other side of the Pancakes house if you haven't already done it before.
love
Renovate municipal museum in Willow creek into an apartment building. Keep the outer shell please
Could you maybe renovate the only residential in San Mysuhno that isn't an apartment? I think it's called something with Salt house or so. I really like the idea and the place of that house, but every time I see it I'm like nope, not gonna happen
Hey Gryphi, could you please add how to remove doors in city living apartments using T.O.O.L into the tutorial please
Can you renovate the Roomies house while keeping it mid century?! 🩷
Jones Curve
I'm new to using tool mod so the only question I have is, what's the pros and cons of having it? 😂❤
Maybe the pancake house
🤩
Toy Street
Munch home from Windemburg needs help......
Hello. Can you please update your Playlist and have a Playlist for all your overiews? It suchs trying to go through all your overviews and they are all over the place because bo Playlist for them
