    Very fun! I think I’ll use this technique to send thank you notes to my grandkids, so they can unwrap the note. Thanks!

    Oh yay! I'm so glad to see another video from you! I love this little book, and I have a bunch of old wooden spools, so I see spool books in my future...

    Thanks for this Kit ...I'm trying to think of alternative items I could use instead of a thread spool ? Something that's higher and thinner? Everybody - Please add things/ideas ...........

      Toilet paper or paper towel roll that you cut shorter?

      I did something similar to this as a gift for my sister. What I used is not "higher" though. I used an empty ribbon spool and wrote a message to her of something we did together when we were younger. I used notebook paper and cut it along the lines and wound it around the spool. Then I made a case for it out of felt. She loved it.

    I love this idea and thinking of a few different ways of using it. Can you tell me what 'paper' you are using here please ?

    • @kitdavey1
      @kitdavey1  3 роки тому

      I used good quality computer printer paper----nothing special! I made sure to curl it around the spool before collaging onto it to that the collaged elements wouldn't wrinkle. Hope that helps!

      @@kitdavey1 thanks. I guess I was wondering because it is clearly decorated. So I assume you printed it yourself ?

      @@sharonmayfieldcreative7313 No. I collaged onto a sheet of paper, photocopied it and then cut the photocopy to fit the spool.
