Your father and you make it look soo easy on "tv" aka you tube, I can't imagine the hours you put in to making our entertainment! I have enjoyed following you for few years now on UA-cam. Makes me feel inspired, may the lord bless you and your people😇
@42:42 It all starts to make sense now. Dad knows that when Travis is making a scrap run, he needs to come over and survey the pile to make sure nothing good goes missing.
You’re a good man Travis. You put your family first, which is something that every new father should do. Unfortunately, some men are clueless and don’t want to change their priorities.
admire your determination, your abilty to think through some tough issues, and the hard work....and proud of you the way you love your Dad and the Mrs with Child..God Bless you buddy..
Thank you Travis. You and your dad are relaxed with all your approaches. Love the Cummins, we don't have these in Australia. Congratulations on the baby. Keep these videos coming
Thank you for creating this amazing channel!. I look forward to every single episode. Good, down-to-earth, "work with what you have"-attitude. It's also educational :)
Also, I love these trucks. I know they aren't the best out there but I took my driving test in an '01 1500 long-bed extended cab Laramie. It had the 360 in it and I would drive the absolute crap out on the weekends in high school.
Yeah, I scrap metal like you do. The way I see it, I don't have to PAY to dump it, it gets recycled, and they actually PAY me SOMETHING to get it out of life.
I used to use charcoal lighter fluid on a rag to remove road tar. It worked greet with no damage to the paint. Mineral spirits would probably work too.
Please keep doing these and videos in general! I started watching your channel after you met Dalton from PBG ! Love seeing honest people do stuff and explain well! Ignore the keyboard warriors and keep at it on here Travis
Love that Sinclair gas sign. When my older brother and I were kids back in the early 60s, Sinclair had some inflatable dinosaurs they sold or gave away at service stations. We begged my dad to go to Sinclair and get us each one, but he was a solid Gulf gasoline guy and we never got one. Thanks for sharing this video.
they sold them, but not suitable for a pool toy, didnt last long.another Sinclair toy dinosaur, was at the Sinclair exhibition at the New york worlds fair 1964-65.for a Quarter you could get a injection molded brontosaurus, you could watch it being made in the machine
Sit there if you got you found another frame changeover. Put it on a newer frame to refrain, raise It Up an inch and get you some prime that thing, send it down, paint it, someone I'd love to have that truck paint it. Put a new bed liner in it, take the bit off on there now redo the bed. Everything put a new front end on it. Put a new clip Hola Chang's at back window. Has somebody duty and get the interior all done? Clean out of my stuff out. Change the - panel in there. Find a newer newer truck and scrap your get new seats full boo. Get somebody to sleep or death, depart it. There's no automatic steps pool. You're set and get a cap or a bed liner. There running on the back of it and that truck will be good
Put a master's bit lying around there but it's nicely a bit lying around there.I gotta fix it up.Fix it up and fix it up your a little coat of paint on there. Is a military's hires a work from there and l a d lights change over
That thing looks like a nightmare 😂 this is the only channel I watch anymore for truck/car content Travis along with Junkyard Digs. Great job you and your dad are awesome. Wish my dad and I had something in common.
Great job on the sign and another quality video. Continued success, and keep them coming. God bless you and your growing family. As usual, I loved the content from start to finish.
Great video.... been watching since you started the channel love the content and presentation. You guys are inspiring. Great work ethic. You are in my top three U Tube channel favorites. 😎👍
Like a Mercedes the hood opens vertical so you dont bump your head working on it. Not a bad mod. Love the cars you and your father work on. Keep up the good work.
I like this kind of video were you are getting parts off junk yard truck we all like to fix are truck. We need to learn how to take parts off ,like I have a 1997 ford ranger XLT stepside truck and it has 60/40 front seats I want to put bucket seats in it and a center console. 😊
Travis, I really enjoy you and your dads videos. Awesome content. Love your yard signs pumps and memorabilia. As far as the tar goes on your new Dodge… do not use the power washer to remove it. The water makes the tar harden up instantly. Gasoline will work the best. Just small sections but it does work great. Keep up the good work.
You can take that truck to a facility that washes out tankers and they have a special citrus base solvent that will remove that tar and asphalt based junk in a snap. There are a couple tanker trailer wash outs in the Tucson area.
If you have access to a commercial steam cleaner, it will melt the tar off. But, it will leave a mess, so do it out in the dirt or gravel. You'll need to wipe it with a solvent afterward, but that will only be a film at this point.
Cool find that tar may test you patients for sure. Really enjoy your content. As a long time Ford guy I never had many of those 12v motors to play with. Just picked up a 98 extended cab with 3rd door. 2 wd 3500.
only issue i ever have with any of those LED tail lights is how the running light intensity is just barley lower than brake light intensity so when they stop or turn it barley looks any different.
With that kind of tar it's probably got a petroleum base so anything with an oil base in it or petroleum base itself as a cleaner that should be able to clean the stuff cuz it will loosen the tar up and then you can just take it right off
I had a 99 24 vavle real good on fuel but when the fuel got hot summertime it didn't run right the pump was going out on it. It was 2 wd. And the new steering tires were wearing out quick . Heavy engine
It looks like this old Dodge had a rough life...On a side note, I have always had good luck removing tar and glue residue with plain old charcoal lighter fluid.
Free bed liner naphtha like lighter fluid will remove roof cement paint it on cover with syran wrap keep wet will come off cheapest least labor intensive method won't damage finish 24 bucks a gallon at Lowe's
I still say the Pontiac has 22,000 miles on it. I bet he had it rebuilt because it was sitting so much that it started to smoke. That would explain the rebuild. Just going by the receipt they did the rings re-ground the valves and resealed the engine.
Thanks for mentioning your boots you wear, i was curious for sometime... btw believe me when i say this. Michigan and Indiana guys would've paid $1k for that bed before it went to the scrap yard lol
What a Nasty on that Ram 2500, But I Do Love That Dashboard Because My Favorite of the Dodge Ram 2nd Gen Cummins is the 1998-2001 3500 Dually with 5-Speed Manual, And The Reason why I like the 1998-2001 Because The Dashboard Looks Way More Better and I Love That.
Travis, your dad's El Camino looks so great! Is there a some kind of leakage under the trans? Love your episodes, and awesome content. You're the best!

This has become my favorite channel on UA-cam for the main reason of you and your dad working together. Keep making videos, and I will keep watching

Thank you it is allot of work I’m glad you enjoy God bless
@42:42 It all starts to make sense now. Dad knows that when Travis is making a scrap run, he needs to come over and survey the pile to make sure nothing good goes missing.
You are exactly right.
That Pontiac is absolutely cool as hell
The gasoline signs look fantastic. Great job .
We always use Diesel for tar ,keep up the good work.Martin Thailand
You’re a good man Travis. You put your family first, which is something that every new father should do. Unfortunately, some men are clueless and don’t want to change their priorities.
Well said
Anyone else like the little text addendums added throughout? 😄 Good job on the truck. Your Dad seems well, best wishes to you both!
I count it a privilege to give a thumbs up for these continuing high quality videos. Thanks Rick and Travis!
Thank you for watching !
admire your determination, your abilty to think through some tough issues, and the hard work....and proud of you the way you love your Dad and the Mrs with Child..God Bless you buddy..
I would love to pick up one of these old 12v, but they are so hard to find a good one that the body hasn't rotten out.
Thank you Travis. You and your dad are relaxed with all your approaches. Love the Cummins, we don't have these in Australia. Congratulations on the baby. Keep these videos coming
I'm with you, I cannot stand those LED fake lights that people put on there they look absolutely stupid. Keep up the good work
I like what you do Travis...the gas pumps and sign you just put up ..its nice all lit up at night..
Thank you for creating this amazing channel!. I look forward to every single episode. Good, down-to-earth, "work with what you have"-attitude. It's also educational :)
Excited for this Travis- I’ve been wanting to do this for quite some time! Can’t wait to watch this all.
Its like a mini museum you've got going on there,,looks great,,
Good choice Travis! I know that Emily and your child will like it also! 🙂✌️
What a fantastic distraction from my mind-numbing work training. Thanks Travis!
Yessir hope you enjoy.

@@theetravisb It was awesome as always. I wish you the very best of luck getting all of that tar off lol.
Take a heat gun and soften it up, then take a plastic scraper to get the bulk of it off. The rest will wipe off with diesel fuel.
God bless. It's a very challenging project if the price is right. You might be able to replace the truck bed.
You are killing it with these Cummins trucks! I just got me a 1991.5
Early 98 12 valve. Thats my dads favorite truck. He has a 3500 dually 4x4 with a 12 valve and the quad cab. Kinda rare.
Thanks for another , Brother
Love that Sinclair gas sign. When my older brother and I were kids back in the early 60s, Sinclair had some inflatable dinosaurs they sold or gave away at service stations. That’s interesting thanks for the story

I did flat roofing for years use deisal and gas mix will cut rite through that tar

I love lookingwhen people rebuild cars and trucks. :D Its better than buying a new one.
That thing looks like a nightmare 😂 this is the only channel I watch anymore for truck/car content Travis along with Junkyard Digs. Great job you and your dad are awesome. Wish my dad and I had something in common.
The seller should have paid Travis to take it off hiss hands.
Glad I’m up in your top watches man
Mineral spirits we used at Henry company for roofing tar.
I agree it will do the job
Great job on the sign and another quality video. Continued success, and keep them coming. God bless you and your growing family. As usual, I loved the content from start to finish.
Look forward to seeing more on this truck.
Great video.... been watching since you started the channel love the content and presentation. You guys are inspiring. Great work ethic. You are in my top three U Tube channel favorites. 😎👍
Thank you that means alot !
Like a Mercedes the hood opens vertical so you dont bump your head working on it. Not a bad mod. Love the cars you and your father work on. Keep up the good work.
Travis, you remind me of a pit bull in that you, like they, hang on and don't let go. I admire that in you and your dad. Keep on keeping on!
Great compliment thank you 🤙🏻
I felt my drag coefficient change... 😂
I did bro
Strong work Travis
Looking good Rick!

I dunno if it's the alcohol but I got heavy tar off a windshield with RainX. Might be worth a try. Would love to see an attempt at a paint job.
That a nice old truck
Awesome for brunt!!! I wear their boots, hoodies and stuff for work at Mack
You can take that truck to a facility that washes out tankers and they have a special citrus base solvent that will remove that tar and asphalt based junk in a snap. There are a couple tanker trailer wash outs in the Tucson area.
Love everything you do.
Great work, it will be a great kid taxi!
Diesel breaks down asphalt/tar. They used to spray it in the TriAxle beds during Asphalt season to keep it from sticking to the bed.
Very Cool Travis and Rick!!
If you have access to a commercial steam cleaner, it will melt the tar off. But, it will leave a mess, so do it out in the dirt or gravel. You'll need to wipe it with a solvent afterward, but that will only be a film at this point.
The Caddy has the best look
it'll never rust with all that tar... even in the north of england where they love to salt the roads in winter
It was nice that they put a spray on bed liner for you
33:50 using a driveshaft in that manner is ingenious.
As soon as I saw the bed I said, “That’s going to be a nightmare!”, only to hear you say “That’s a nightmare…”. 😅
Yeah it’s crazy
Cool find that tar may test you patients for sure. Really enjoy your content. As a long time Ford guy I never had many of those 12v motors to play with. Just picked up a 98 extended cab with 3rd door. 2 wd 3500.
Great job Travis the sing looks amazing…
Thank you
I like goof off for cleaning that tar, kerosene works good too, lesser oils break down greater oils
Use the perfect bumper on your truck and put the junkyard one on the dually.
Don't worry about the gunk,. That's a bed liner. Straighten it out. Take it man. Great truck.
Thanks for sharing.
My dad had a 55 Pontiac. I always thought the lighted hood ornament was cool. Chief Pontiac head.
Another awesome video. I love this channel
Good parts truck !😊
+shoutout to youre dad !
Greetings from Holland
I like the custom taillights and headlights have them on my 2011 ram different strokes for different folks I guess.
Diesel fuel works pretty good. I've also used super clean
Wonder if a diesel hotsey cranked up pretty hot would remove that tar..
Love the ram content
I had a 2000 dodge OFF ROAD 1/2 ton w/same cab! Love it
Man, you had a free bedliner in that bed.
Keep it as bedliners
Lots of effort, I’m surprised it’s coming off that well
Travis b is my lady 😍❤️.
Excellent video!
Sweet night shots!!!!
Amazing good job!
I cried when you junked the bed ,I woulda killed for one that good here in the rust belt 😢
Issue is everyone who needs it is 1500 miles away who’s going to ship it or come get it.
only issue i ever have with any of those LED tail lights is how the running light intensity is just barley lower than brake light intensity so when they stop or turn it barley looks any different.
Would like to see another livestream with dad!

I've heard of underseal but not overseal.
Free bed liner naphtha like lighter fluid will remove roof cement paint it on cover with syran wrap keep wet will come off cheapest least labor intensive method won't damage finish 24 bucks a gallon at Lowe's
You’re going to need a lot of that stuff
I still say the Pontiac has 22,000 miles on it. I bet he had it rebuilt because it was sitting so much that it started to smoke. That would explain the rebuild. Just going by the receipt they did the rings re-ground the valves and resealed the engine.
Yeah it’s looking like it has 22000 original.
Love the 12 valves, but in this case, might have been easier to buy a nicer later 24V and convert it to 12V?
Thanks for mentioning your boots you wear, i was curious for sometime... btw believe me when i say this. Michigan and Indiana guys would've paid $1k for that bed before it went to the scrap yard lol
That’s wild. No one would give you anything for it here
Clean the chrome. Clean the glass. Clean the white. Don't worry about the rest.
Purple power would have worked pretty good for that junk on the paint
What a Nasty on that Ram 2500, But I Do Love That Dashboard Because My Favorite of the Dodge Ram 2nd Gen Cummins is the 1998-2001 3500 Dually with 5-Speed Manual, And The Reason why I like the 1998-2001 Because The Dashboard Looks Way More Better and I Love That.
Because they are called RAMS also! And guys like to Ram stuff with them ! Henced the smashed front ends! 😊
Travis, your dad's El Camino looks so great! Is there a some kind of leakage under the trans?
Love your episodes, and awesome content. You're the best!
That bed didn’t seem too bad!
It was the tar in the bed
@ I know I know. Out on the east coast anything not rusted to dust looks amazing. Especially on those 2nd gens
Very very cool 😎 👌
Your videos are always so heartfelt and profound! Thank you for your creativity and ability to touch the deepest strings of my soul!🏋️🐌🫢🫠
Hi from Showlow!
Diesel or kerosene, plastic putty knives, 0000 steel wool or mild scuff pads.
Dissolve it off
Work solvent into it
