If it wasn't for my Ph being about 7.6 I'd have Apistos in my 75g with my school of Dwarf Neon rainbowfish and 9+ Peppered Corydoras- I need a splash of gold or yellow in that tank. Thanks Bob💕👍
Does the peroxide not hurt the fish? What ratio did you use? So you lowered the water level and sprayed on the peroxide, and then what? Did you let it dry? Or did you fill the tank back up right away? Now, on a different topic, have you ever had rams horn snails eat your HEALTHY plants? I never had them before. I've always had bladder and pond snails 🐌. But one day I noticed one slithering across the glass. Just one. I looked for an hour and couldn't find any more. And a few weeks later my tank is covered with them and my other snails population had dwindled. Then the rams horns had a tank meeting on one of my plants and didn't stop until all the little tiny leaves were GONE. Nothing but a bare stem left. Then they slurped up 2 more plants. I've cut the amount of food in half to try and quickly get their numbers down. But so far that's not working. My fish are pissed. Especially my Cory's. LMBO 😅. But have you ever heard of that before?
3% h2o2 is what i use. I treat the infected area by spraying it if its out of water, or spot treating it with a pipette if its under water. It will dilute with the water and oxidizes. This is the process that kills the bacteria or algae. h2o2 + 2h2o + o2. The only effect it should have is raising the oxygen levels in the water. Obviously in moderation, dont just dump gallons of it in your tank. Just the minimum that is needed to kill algae/bacteria. This is where it takes time and patience to figure out what that bare minimum is. Start with a little and increase as needed.
I am always so scared to try the hydrogen peroxide trick in a tank that has inhabitants. I know your fans (ok maybe just me) would love to see how your procedure. Pretty please 😁

Great video as always. Thanks for sharing
These are my fav Apistos 😍
UA-cam wants me to translate this to english lol
I love apistos, but my pH is between 7.5-8 here in south Alabama. Not their favorite water.
Amazing fish and a top video as always
McMasteri is one of my favorite apistos. Looking good Bob sorry you lost your BBA carpet 😢
Beautiful fish
Great looking fish

I’d say 7.6 is perfectly fine for most captive bred common species, like these.
Fun fish!

Will a few males do ok in a 125?
Oh yea, if there is lots of hardscape you could do a pretty good group of males. Id start with 6 and see how they do.

I am hesitant, i don't want someone to make a mistake and blame it on me. It's happened before =(
