Tauri was the only way i could play wow as a young teen, and while going to retail after felt like stepping into heaven for the first time, i have to say in recent years (5 or 6) the Tauri team have really made some amazing work. It's crazy to think that they have such a small team, but they were able to do a blizzlike MoP server which is far from being an easy task. I don't think people know how much scripting is involved in creating a clone of these more modern expansions.
I have been playing on Tauri since 2008! Started in the middle of BC, and climbing through the expansions as it was on retail. Amazing server, always up, no lags whatsoever. Since it was my first server I have ever played, I couldn't really migrate or try other ones because Tauri set a high bar for others. I'm not going to lie, even retail feels like a "well-done private server"... they also have a vanilla realm too which is also this high quality, but Classic killed it. (Tho people still play it, the pop is very low)
Well...I have to admit, that the pop on the Tauri Vanilla server is low, but on alliance side, we still manage to clear 2-3 raids/week.Progressed fully through zg,aq20,mc,onyxia,kazzak,azuregos.Progressed partially through bwl(6/8) and even had a few tries on chromaggus

Yeah, the best thing about it is that you don't have to ask yourself "wait does this even work on this server" because the answer is yes. But they are a small hungarian team so when legion comes out everything will be buggy af like when mop started.

Feenix was honestly great. Started playing on it in 2012. First server that was the most "blizzlike" private server out there for its time. Good, consistent population to give it a live feeling. Played off and on up until they finally pulled the plug around the Elysium/Northdale days.

Lights hope was best for me, after years of pservers it felt so weird to have one that was so popular and well done/organized. They were very open about things.

He just fake acted being the jesus and saving the server when in fact he did the same thing in lights hope while ppl were pointing fingers to senna and her group in elysium.
Wish more people would give Tauri a chance. Most people I think write it off as soon as they hear MoP, but damn is it good. Also thanks for making this video Hammy. Played with you in CryptWoW, and my favorite thing about you is you’re a real dude. This is not some charade you put on for the camera. Thanks for being you and keep up the great work :)

Me and a friend were guild masters in a horde guild on Gamer District. Those were the best times I've had with this game.
Wasn't expecting that #1, although I have to agree, the quality of the server is second to none. Making me consider going back and playing again now :)

just get the cannot stream data error even after replacing the file they said to replace on the website.
I downloaded the game itself as a torrent. I was having an issue also. Since then it’s been smooth sailing. I’m enjoying it immensely.

Gamer District was AWSOME, and the cash shop was really buggy so majority of the player base didnt use it. Was pretty sad to see it fall apart and i had to switch to Warmane

What a timing! I just started on Tauri a bit over a week ago and having lots of fun. No bugged quest yet and the server is really responsive and stable. I'm not sure, how I will like the endgame, as I'm only level 70 at the moment and only played TBC and WotLK before. I also really like the idea of crossfaction AH, BGs, Dungeons and raids. Definitely one of the best servers out there! :)
Can confirm that the endgame is top notch. Raids are flawless and really fun (and actively done by the community.) I've been playing there for years and have never been disappointed!

@@ChepeCon Hey, during EU hours the servers peak at around 2600 - 2700 players combined (on 3 realms). The population is, compared to other servers, less of a problem, because of the crossrealm and crossfaction AH, BGs and Dungeons. I did some Dungeons through my leveling and the queue was always between 5 - 30 minutes.
Evermoon is their international realm, so yeah there are plenty of English-speaking guilds.
I can't say anything about wpvp though, sorry.

Totally agreed about quality of server being number 1 is Tauri i discovered this server half year ago its hands down best MoP server and most scripted private serveri ever played everything works fine and population is 60% incrased from last time u reviewed

Could you make a comparison between botting in private servers vs classic wow? I would assume that it is worse in classic wow because there are more people playing it and therefore more money to be made.
Every pserver I have ever played on had a very low/nonexistent number of bots and very good anticheat
I was a GM on a private server for a few months, people generally didn't get away with cheating we'd all just be floating around invis watching key areas and checking dungeon activity etc while reading tickets and talking them over with each other,
The best detection is just having mods actually aware of the servers and engage directly with them, all it would take is for GMs to actually check in on servers say outside mara and ZG and known botting spots and check what kinda groups etc are in instances and verify by sight any suspicious seeming ones(unguilded or commom multi box comp groups)

Archangel was such a good time, I’m really happy I got to max out my mage bis to illidan and melt faces using arcane blast. I succeeded at being top damage over warlocks routinely and never mastered a game more.

I see a lot of peeps worshiping Warmane, but they never wonder where all those money goes, because they ain't investing much in quality, that's for sure. On how much money they receive from players over so many years, that server SHOULD BE impeccable.
better than official servers where you have to pay every month for no reason or private servers who get shutdown forever and unable to relaunch fresh i mean all other servers got shutdown or just lost their population after 1-2 years or so warmane doing somethings right for sure
I've been playing on Warmane's Lordaeron and it's pretty good. I would never play on Icecrown, though.

@@Mick6996 Legit, I got interested because of the cool features, but when I noticed all Alliance and Horde players are merged in global, and everyone was chummy with each other, with no potential for PvP, not to mention raiding as alliance+horde.. was like aight imma head out

@@HamsterWheelGaming China was there but just not in numbers like nost. T1 characters were sold behind the scenes later on in the servers life span. Also you missed out on AV being tuned with TBC numbers (This was AV for like 4-5 months) actually raided with the guy that coded it on nost lol. Towers would hit 1K per shot so running past them as a non geared warrior was instant death and Drek/Van were untankable outside of shield wall. AV was only completed because they didn't have enough movement speed and could be kited around the room by hunters. Also i was threaten by a GM for talking about the nost launching :P
I will give it the following though, it was the first server that actually felt like vanilla and i enjoyed it a tonne. But oh god were the drama and lies real.
I wasn't expecting to see Tauri at #1 but I'm not disappointed. You're the reason I got into Tauri and I love it still to this day. Do you raid with any guilds?

For MoP absolutely! Population may have dropped a little with many places' lockdown restrictions being lifted, but it's still a great place. I can't comment on their WotLK server as I never got a chance to try it, though.
I miss primal wow I remember being a warrior and how broken revenge was. Haha

Hamster, how would you say the meta was at 60 with WOTLK 3.3.5 classes? (Primal wow) seems like hunters, warriors, mages are S tier, rogues A tier. Why don't I see any ret pallies in the DMG meter? The population is not as bad as people are saying and yeah majority are maxed out so you might have bit of a problem in bgs and arenas but you can que for dungeons while levelling can't tell you more I'm new to the server also, but people seem friendly and helping.. give it a try

Back in the day each private server had his own flavour, nowadays they are all the same because there are no developers willing to create their own custom cores anymore.
And yes i played on scape too back then.

@@jamesnorth478 To be honest depends on what you want to play, but WildCard is wayy more dynamic. On the standard realm you can go allways since the XP rate is quite high. Give Wildcard a shot first :) But go through the wiki first

Should have tried Atlantiss Netherwing or the new server Karazhan. Both TBC servers and they have the developers of Tauri - as for the server you mentioned, the scripting is amazing. But due to the release of classic TBC, population on Karazhan is decreasing, being down to 1-2k people compared to its original 3-6k.
Yes on # 1 spot ..it deserves more attention.
Shoutout first for WARSONG! I cleared naxx as alliance in there with Argent Crusade (good days)! Then shoutout for G-D best server ever made, spent many years playing there, made a bunch of friends which I talk to this very day!

You should try playing on Project Ascension, its a 3.3.5a Classless server where you create your own hero, currently it has 1 month left until tbc but its vanilla servers are open

most *fun i had : wowscape , wowbeez arena tournament servers and then rest was jumping from server to server.

How do you make addons work on a private server? I'm on unlimited wow but a simple addon like recount does not seem to work.
if you look in CurseForge, there's a record of any release of an addon. So you may find release versions for many different patches.
Tauri is a great server, I love it!
Did you ever try Dalaran-Wow? The best scripted blizz-like WoTLK server with no pay2win system . super fun and helpful community aswell, highly reccomend it

Sadly, as a MOP enthusiast, Tauri is moving to Legion anytime soon. Since there are not so many good EU alternatives (AHEM COUGH COUGH FIRESHITSTORM COUGH COUGH), maybe it's time to me press F for MoP. There is no way I'm playing on an NA realm since I hate playing with over 75 ms.

@@gunney74 I wouldn't say it's amazing but it's between 100-500. But it's also a fairly new server. They just came out of alpha/beta testing.

My route was Feenix's Warsong > Emerald Dream > Feenix's Archangel TBC > Gamer District WotLK 7x > Nostalrius > Elysium > Gamer District WotLK 1x and then Blizzard Classic came

Does any one remember the name of a popular wotlk one ages ago now that had a massive climbing frame event in Gurubashi arena that you got custom rings for completing, they added a second and third climb after a while too iirc
Are there really no good TBC servers? I’ve only ever played on Wrath servers like Gamer District and Warmane but I’d be interested in trying TBC. Also, Primal sounds like a really fun server to me. I really want to get into Classic, but the classes I’d like to play are trash for the most part.
Try endless wow tbc server. Very healthy population with x5 exp rates and there is a cash shop but only with mounts and pets and stuff no buying gear or pay to win bs.

So I'm lvl 59 in Classic right now, and a hunter. I am running the last few dungeons for loot with my guildies and doing BG's. I constantly find myself at the top of the damage meters. I even joked about it being a case of dueling banjos to one of our mages during an AoE pull, and he took a little bit of umbridge. Am I not suppose to be competing fir the top dps spot as a hunter? P.s. I jave just barely begun working melee weaving in.
Your dps will suck later because the way other classes damage increase whit gear
Well that sucks, do end game content so I can watch everyone pace me. Hopefully it's more balnced when we get BC.

if ur in asia i suggest winterwow wotlk server, low pop but nice scripting with minor bugs but has 10x levelling rate. they might have changed it. most private servers are located in northern france so the latency is horrible if ur in asia.
I dont get it... People complained a lot when MoP was live, now there is a private server that reach top 1 on a top 10 video.......
Population isnt huge tho. most i seen online was around 1.5k

Warmane is a joke.
Apart from the bugs Molten was way better. they even had ingame support.
Molten didnt have any money tho.
Warmane has a shitload of money but they dont even fix bugs, its p2w af. has huge negative impact on the game. warmane doesnt even have ingame support and always send you to forum for any issues there is on the server. ninja looting for example is a bannable offense but unless you post video proof of it on forum they will just ignore you. it's run by corporate suits now...

Wanna move to MoP since its taking eternity for twinstar to move from cata to MoP, also the thing i care about the most are achievements and mount farming, things like loremaster and glory achievs, are they working there ? Also how about endgame raiding ? Dont care about pvp
tauri is an amazing server with a decent community and really good scripting. if you want, i can send you a link to a great raiding guild (horde) on the evermoon guild
As someone with lots of mounts, glory achievements and a loremaster, I can surely say they are working just fine, as for endgame, people are generally nice to you if you just want to get in and get some gear for yourself, although people have their set ILVLs for the raids, for example on Siege Of Orgrimmar, raid finder is 496(the usual), on Flexible, the next tier they will invite at 535 ILVL which you can get by raid finder, and the 4/4 upgrade which grants them 546 ILVL in total, after flexible, they will generally invite you at 550 ilvl for norm, which isn't that high considering you can get 556(if fullfy upgraded) items from flex, Heroic is more demanding at 570, which isn't that hard either, considering you are willing to do the legendary cape questline which I higly advise. I believe Atlantiss WoW TBC is not providing very good experience in terms of 2.4.3. Previously I was playing on Theatre of Dreams and then Hellground.

The old golden days. I miss this patchwork of a server and its bugs. Community was awesome. Some play on the lastwow-legacy server, but this server is dead.
Information on where each server is located would be nice. That info is hard to find and anyone who has played a server should have an idea. Warmane was awesome but Im in the US so im always 125+ latency.
