With most cars it’ll be exactly the same. Yes it will use more but it depends how heavy your right foot is. Feel cheated by MB, currently have E class cabriolet but wouldn’t upgrade to this. It’s as if the company have told designers to remove everything that denotes the E class and re badged it and have the front to charge 50k for the privilege of driving in essence a new tweaked c class
Oh really? It’s drives just like an E-Class though and is the same size (almost) as an E-Class. I wasn’t the only person who reviewed it at this event, but I was chatting with other reviewers there after the drives and they all agreed that it felt like it had air suspension but it didn’t. It was very smooth on the road… Which bit don’t you like?
We exchanged a year old c class cab as it was not big enough in the back for grandchildren’s child seats with feet constantly on the back of front seats and also rear passengers asking for windows to be raised or lowered . The E is perfect in all aspects and by your rear seat experience they must have gone for the c class rear leg room, removed independently controlled rear windows and overhead rear interior light by the look of it as a cabriolet can be dark while trying to load little people in the back. Just wondered why they didn’t lean more towards the E with interior?
Another great review Nick - thanks. I currently own a 2021 C200 cabriolet which I have had since new. I absolutely love the car as it is very good looking, very comfortable and quite economical (41 mpg on average). I’m a big fan of convertibles and drive with the roof down whenever possible, even when the temperature is down to minus in the winter. Of course it would be nice to swap for a CLE but I won’t be doing that. The CLE is not that different to look at outside compared to my C200. It is quite different inside but to the detriment of usability, as is usually the case with new cars. The CLE has lost the centre scroll wheel which I really like and has added touch controls to the steering wheel as in my 2023 A180 which are not so easy to use. The main reason I won’t be swapping though is cost. I paid £35,000 for mine in 2021 with a £12,500 discount and it is currently valued at around £21,000. A new CLE 200 Premium will be about £55,000 and £34,000 to change after three years is just outrageous. Happy to hold onto my wonderful C200 for a few more years and enjoy many more long Continental tours.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! 👍🏼 Haha me too, if I ever get the chance to drive a convertible, roof always goes down! I do remember driving in the winter in one once, heated seats, airscarf and heating on 😅 Yes this is one of the reasons I cover more brands of car now. I love Mercedes cars, they do a lot of things very well! However with the increase in price, some may not be able to stretch to the increase in prices (which where everything sadly has gone up in the world) So last year I started very slowly and surely building out a library of car review videos and will continue to do so. But will still keep covering Mercedes as they do have some stunning cars 👌🏼👌🏼
I have the 2019 C43 AMG Cabriolet and I love it also. The sound is amazing. I also love the metal scroll volume button on the steering wheel. I am holding out to see the C53 AMG. I think it will look stunning with the flared wheel arches. I am also hoping for a matte dark grey colour. Let’s see when it comes out. 4matic is a must in Switzerland 🇨🇭 so waiting to see what CLE53 AMG is fitted with. I just wish they had cup holders that cool the drink. 🍺
Ah nice! Well Mercedes have discontinued the C-Class Coupe & Cabriolet and E-Class Coupe & Cabriolet replacing 4 models with the 2 on the CLE. So CLE Coupe & CLE Cabriolet. The C-Class Saloon and Estate already have AMG’s on the C 43 and C63 S E so I don’t think they’ll release anything else. The only rumour out there is a CLE 63 (unconfirmed) but we’ll have to wait and see for that one 😎
Haha it was only a couple of weeks ago on my last Mercedes video in Scotland 💪🏼 I did film another car at this event so they’ll be another very soon! Just have a backlog of videos to edit! 😅
Great review! On steering wheel haptic buttons - I was really anti them, but ended up with them on my wife's GTI Clubsport. I'd say it took a few weeks, but once you get used to them physical buttons feel like antiques. And I was 100% against haptics to begin with. They provide feedback (vibration), are ulta-smooth (e.g. swiping to increase volume), and something I hadn't anticipated was that they are sculpted. They were more tactile than I expected. Worth having an open mind (which I didn't!).
Thank you! Ah yes I’ve used them on Volkswagens too. They are okay when you get used to them but not everyone is a huge fan. In fact as you’ve mentioned you have a VW, I’ve got a secret video for VW owners…10am this Sunday, you’ll want to see a special bonus video drop on my channel if you have a Volkswagen in the household! Remote roof has been an option for years with a smart top. Glad to see MB recognising this perk! I do wish the stupid size iPads would be consigned to history though. Must be a better way. Great video BTW Nick
Delighted to see the new CLE shape, especially the front are very similar to my 3 year old CLA. Means my older car still looks very current. Very good comprehesive review Nick. Thank you
This is your video that I meant to reply to. Thanks for the great review! I think the new 2024 Mercedes CLE cabriolet is a very elegant car that has a sportive feel even with the 4-cylinder engine of the CLE 200 and I am happy to have traded it in for my BMW 125i convertible.
Amazing review. This will be my next car. I had intentions on getting it this year but they delayed it to the point where I got impatient. This is the best cabriolet they’ve ever made.
The wind deflector also helps keep "road particles" (and atmospheric dust) out of your eyes, and helps keep stray stuff in the cabin (like your latest speeding ticket) from accidentally floating out and landing on the windshield of the sedan behind you.
When the CLE was launched it very quickly became top of my wish list, I love the styling of it and everything about it, I have never been one for convertibles but this just looks great I will make a point of viewing one at my local dealer.
It's beautiful. I've had one ordered for three months and 10 days ago my salesman called and said it's landed in America. I had an '18 C43 Cabriolet I bought in the fall of '17 and sold during the covid pandemic when I was offered way more than it was worth. Regretted it everyday since. Can't wait for this one to get here.
When I first purchased my first convertible (Mazda MX5) I actually preferred it with the roof up once the novelty wore off 😂 The new CLE looks amazing and glad Mercedes are contouring with the cabriolet editions in the range - Great introductory demonstration Nick 👍
Good to see you back in a Mercedes-Benz. Great review. While I need my sedan, this would be a nice fun 2nd car. I wonder about the fabric roof and condensation inside the car in winter.
I currently own a 2021 C200 and can report that there is no problem with condensation inside the car in winter - you can barely tell it’s not a hardtop - it’s that good.
Hi Nick 😃 Thanks for such a good overview. For me, you are still the best Mercedes reviewer on the internet. ☺️👍🏼 - You know that I don't like the new CLE Coupé because it has a B-pillar. - That makes the Cabriolet without a B-pillar interesting. All the best, Sven
Looks great Nick, and over the years my wife has had three cabs. The problem is, in this Country with the weather we have, they provide poor value money
Depends on the individual I suppose but we use our C class convertible all year round with the top down, even when it is minus temperatures - just wrap up. As long as it’s not raining it’s not a problem. Going out for a drive with the top down is such a lift to the spirits so we would say that it’s worth every penny - should be prescribed under the NHS for good mental health.😊
I much prefer the quiet engine over the "pops and snaps" of the 63 models (S, SL, AMG, etc.). Mercedes is really interesting in the way they mix and match features. It seems they really haven't quite figured out what to do with the computer screens. They had it right in many of the 2018-something to 2020-something models, one integrated screen for the "instrument cluster" and the "infotainment" screen, tucked under the lip of the dash. I have one, and it's elegant, transparent, unobtrusive, perfectly readable. Then they decided to go with the big block separate tilt screen - but a few other car brands went that way too, like the recently reviewed mini-Cooper with a drastic round screen. Also curious that on the Mercedes site they show a white CLE cab with tan seats, a combo that is practically impossible to get in the CPO after market (most are silver or black, with black). Always nice to see the cruise controls on the steering wheel. I get compliments on my cab all the time, friends and strangers at stop lights too! Saw a woman with a Chrysler convertible the other day, beautiful tan colored car with slightly lighter tan roof - so I stopped to compliment her. Gorgeous car, timeless design.
Haha yeah the AMG’s are quite unique! Well Mercedes have different designs for different classes of car. And then that design will usually run for 6-7 years with a facelift halfway where they might tweak a couple of things. But they all won’t have the same design though, that would be boring! Some are similar but yes as you’ve seen some have a widescreen, some a portrait screen and some have a one of the largest screens I’ve ever seen!
@@npoleary ---- Poetry! (Limerick, actually.) Your analysis of the classes running for 6-7 years with facelifts goes a long way towards explaining and sorting out the entire Mercedes line. Thank you. The best I had come up with was based on engines, but they use their top engines in different models and classes, it seems, so I was still confused. They do beat out many makers for reliability, well worth maintaining.
I love the lines and look of the CLE, might be on my list of cars, as just got rid of A35, as I found out was too low for where we were going in Blandford, so this one look spot on, great review.
Great to see you back in a merc nick...still loving my cla.35 4matic.twin.t...but hey..this is a lovely piece of kit mate..excellent...wish we had more sun!...cheers Gazz
Thanks once again for your insights and attention to detail. I must confess I’m a coupe all the way person ( own a C43 Coupe) but love the CLE Coupe and MB have made a fantastic job of this cabriolet. I noticed this test vehicle has carbon fibre on the centre console, rather than the cheap shiny black plastic on some models. Massive improvement or is it an optional extra? Also it looked like you had to manually open and close the boot? That would seem a backward step if so? Great to see MB back in game though, after releasing such subdued looking EVs of late.
Thank you! For trims just double check with Mercedes staff at dealer as the static one was non UK spec (like a pre-production vehicle, I added a note to the video bottom left) But I chose this because it was in a nice quiet area where I could film and keep the quality of the videos up! Cabriolets are always like that for the boot, Coupes (depending on equipment) have an electronic boot. And little teaser for an upcoming video, I did film another car at this event which from what you said, you will probably love! However I’ve got a backlog of videos to edit so bear with me but my aim is to post in a couple of weeks time! 👌🏼
Here is a little quiz for you: which 3 countries in the EU still drive on the same side as the UK? Sweden changed over in 1967. The reason is simple enough, most people are right handed so riders and carts in the Roman empire could use the sword hand better keeping left. The Napoleonic code changed it to keeping right.
Excellent video and review Nick. As a previous owner of a SLK350, C300 Cab, and current E300 Cab from 2020 this looks like a logical progression? Or is is more evolutionary than revolutionary from my current drive? I fine I can get mid to high 40mpg on a longer run and average of 38mpg during ownership. Regarding the steering wheel controls and MBUX I have percevered with the voice controls. it and it definitely learns with use your preferences. The front Ski I have found is pretty useless but not this one will take and mesh screen across the rear seats. Only my old 2006 SLK managed to combat the wind issue. All have been great in single digit weather with the heater on and air scarf on.
Inside the car when stationary is a Canon EOS R6 Mk II pointing at me with an iPhone pointing at the screen. However when driving, I have tried to use that camera before it takes too long to set up (plus it’s heavy. So I now use GoPro’s for in car shots when driving. Currently two GoPro Hero 12’s, Hero 10 and a Hero 8 Any more questions, fire away! 🤓
Great review, can anyone tell me what the convertible mechanism is. A convertible roof specialist has told me that there are not very many convertibles, that have a decent mechanism. I don’t wish to spend my money on repairs. This car looks like my dream.
Thank you! Really sorry with something that technical you might have to ask Mercedes staff at a dealer. I’m not actually even sales staff would know that although, I’m sure they’d be able to find out by asking technicians who work on the cars etc. But bear in mind it’ll have a warranty from new so you’d be covered! 🙏
Currently, I have the E class Cab and I love it but I always keep my eyes open in the next possibility. Will the CLE Cab. have AMG versions. I haven’t seen anything on those.
I am planning to buy Mercedes E convertible but I have been distracted by your video for CLE 🙈😀 don’t know what to do, would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions
In my old A207 E class cabriolet, you can pull (or push) the roof button once and let go without having to hold on to the button for the roof to work. Did you try that?
Hello, thanks a million for your wonderful videos. Although your videos are "British" based and I'm Canadian, and there are some differences in terms of features, your videos are still very informing. I have a question for you: Can we show videos from iphone (iOS 17 or 18) on 2024 Mercedes-Benzes' screen while the car is in full stop? Thanks and awaiting your response.
Ah thank you! No sadly Apple CarPlay has never allowed videos over its interface. This is a restriction on Apple’s part and on most car screens, they very rarely can playback video anyway. However…I have researched this and produced a video last year on how you can do it. There is a workaround: ua-cam.com/video/BAMKMsxAzto/v-deo.html
Being tall is a relative concept. I am 6'4" and (in my family) I feel I am average height. I've a brother who is 6'8" which I consider tall. My dear departed mother was 6'1". That said/written - I prefer to fly business class as my legs are too long for all economy classes. Great cars and another great Nick O'Leary review - keep them coming!
I have recorded one of a car I’ve reviewed recently but not sure if the angle is any good. It’s in the list of videos to edit! But if that isn’t any good I’ll attempt another one in my car soon! 😎
I saw the CLE Coupe. It’s like a sedan Why isn’t it big like the other Mercedes coupe that we know And you talked about replacement around 12:42 minutes So does that means they won’t be making the big coupe’s anymore only just these sedans ?
My A class has spent more time in the garage than I have driving it. Product update, now the alarm goes off while driving it. Seriously considering of getting rid of it. 3rd time now with alarm system malfunction. Putting me off getting another mercedes
The alarm going off while driving should never happen, get Mercedes technicians at a dealer to look at it again and ask them to keep it until it’s sorted. Just one extra thought, you haven’t had any Dashcams or Trackers installed have you? I’ve heard of things like that happening before if an install isn’t done correctly. Normally if a car alarm sounds, when you unlock it’ll turn it off. So it definitely shouldn’t be sounding when you’re driving.
Thank you! I have heard this too, I might make a video about it one day if it is 100% true. But I’ve heard it from multiple places so…leaning to the side of being true! I believe I do know why as well…
Oh yeah of course Loads of people really enjoyed that one, it’s on my channel posted earlier this year: www.youtube.com/@npoleary/search?query=assistance%202024 I have a search function on my channel homepage so pop keywords in there and videos will usually pop up 🤓
Haha while editing this video I was thinking to myself…someone’s going to call me out on the number of times that I’ve open and closed the roof in this video 😂
Not trying to be controversial Nick but I much prefer the old one parked next to it. Love those classic convertible Mercedes and really don't like the interior of these new ones. Great video tho 👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Haha everyone has their own preferences! 🤓 I was offered a drive in one of them but sadly I’ve not ever really got into the classic car kind of thing. But I do respect and appreciate where they all came from and some of their designs do look really cool!👌🏼
Not for cabriolets (as far as I’ve seen) But I did film another car at this event too 👀 Keep an eye out on my channel soon! I’ve got a backlog of videos to edit! 😅
I personally love the CLE, growing up with Mercedes myself of course I’m going to bias 😂 much being said the CLE is definitely nowhere on the CE/E level , more of a CLK I would say
This car looks good but its awful. I would never replace my E-coupe with this because of the cheap C-Class interior. I'll probably just buy the new E or S for my second car.
What makes you think it’s cheap? The quality of materials used are actually very good! I’m sure they might have considered calling it an ELE Coupe but not sure it has the same ring to it. I mean yeah if you can stretch to S-Class they are beautiful on the inside and glide across the road like floating on a cloud. Super luxurious
@@npoleary Hi Nick 👋 it’s the same interior as the w206 C-class which I’ve spent some time in as loaners. There’s pretty much exclusively cheap feeling hard-touch plastics instead of soft-touch on the door cards, dashboard, and center consoles. All of the decor options are fake unlike the E class (except the carbon fiber in the 43 and 63). While I think it has fewer squeaks/rattles than the w205, it’s surprisingly worse in terms of materials. I also had the opportunity to fiddle around with it a bunch because my brother works at a Mercedes dealer. No matter which trim you get, it’s pretty bad in there. I would be happier if they gave it an exclusive leather option like the S-class and covered everything in soft-touch and leather w/dynamica headliner, etc. The only material that feels good in there is the recycled synthetic suede on the very top of the doors where you’d rest your arm. In this regard, the CLE is a long C-coupe no matter what they name it or how they market it. It’s not really a combo of the C&E despite getting the 6cyl and access to some of the E-class-level features (e.g., multicontour seats). For its price, it should have the w214 E-class interior or a completely bespoke one considering there’s no other MB coupes. I think the current C class is completely unacceptable for its price - a current honda or kia has nicer materials for half the price. It’s even more egregious in the CLE which is supposed to be more upmarket. I saw an interview with Mercedes’ head product planner, who admitted they erroneously set in place their current supply chain for cheaper materials (across the board) because they thought the car market would crash during the pandemic. Spoiler, they were wrong. I have issues with all the capacitive touch and piano black around the seat control modules on the doors of every new gen MB model. But at least the new E and S feel super high quality if you spec them correctly. It’s a shame because there’s no viable upgrade path for my E coupe other than perhaps a BMW 8 series. I would rather this car be viable because I don’t need a sedan. Since I’m not tempted by the CLE, I’ll probably just save up until they facelift the S class as a second car.
@@npoleary I would love that! I understand that they will discontinue the model in the next year or so, and it’s not the most relevant car. I still think it’s the last good luxury GT short of the Conti GT or Spectre (especially the Alpina!). They probably didn’t sell well because of the price and they are poorly packaged for their size. But, it’s such a beautiful car. It’s also the only BMW that has no aesthetic dealbreakers - I think Bimmer just cannot design fronts and rear ends - this is the exception. It also has buttons inside!! People’s should get them before they’re gone and spec them well so I have a good selection of 2 y/o cars when I am ready to buy one 😉
The rear seats do have ISOFIX which is good However probably best to check it out in person. If the car has electric seats, they do move forwards and backwards automatically once tilted which is good. Any 2 door or 3 door will always be not as practical as like a 4 or 5 door for rear passengers but think about boot size as well, prams / pushchairs, shopping etc
One of the worst driving cars I driven for a while , I had it for 2 months as a courtesy car and it drives like a Peugeot 208, I’ve owned a CLS 2021, a 2023 c43 and a w210 e class and this is 💩
Oh that’s strange, I was with a few other motoring journalists at this event, we were all chatting afterward off camera and even asked Mercedes if it had air suspension as it was so smooth. What didn’t you like about it?
@@npolearyit felt cheap, the fake wood especially and the seat belt handing device made a loud noise every time. the ride was ok but not Mercedes ok, I wouldn’t say air suspension was an accurate description, I drove it to work in Consett using mix of B roads and the A1 and it’s not settled on pot holes ( jittery on 19 inch alloys ). Compared to the older offerings it’s a step backwards . Compared to the C43 with AMG adaptive set up and rear axle steering it felt honestly like a 208 which Is high praise to the Peugeot 208

Awh thanks Sven! Glad you enjoyed this one! 🤓👊🏼
Oh I don’t know about the best! Always trying to make each new video better than the last! 🤓
Very nice review. I have a 2012 E350 Cabriolet and really love it - but will trade it in next year. This would be a great choice.
Thank you! And thanks for watching! 👊🏼👍🏼
Thank you. Learned a lot, appreciated 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching!
Best demo in youtube. Thx. I have decided to replace my vz5 by this car instead of the new Mustang gt cabrio
Amazing! Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video! 😊
Looks great Nick, and over the years my wife has had three cabs. The problem is, in this Country with the weather we have, they provide poor value money
Yeah it does a rain a lot…annoyingly raining outside now :(
But on the days it is sunny 😎
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Ah yeah that’ll be a nice upgrade! 😎
Coupe though or Cabriolet?
This is one of the prettiest cars
You have done an excellent job. Thanks for the video, it is really helpful 🙏🥂🍾
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏
Great to see you back in a merc nick...still loving my cla.35 4matic.twin.t...but hey..this is a lovely piece of kit mate..excellent...wish we had more sun!...cheers Gazz
Thanks Gazz! Glad you enjoyed the video! 🙏
Thank you!
For trims just double check with Mercedes staff at dealer as the static one was non UK spec (like a pre-production vehicle, I added a note to the video bottom left)
But I chose this because it was in a nice quiet area where I could film and keep the quality of the videos up!
You're driving on the wrong side. 😃 Greetings from Hamburg, Germany. I currently have an EQE and from October I'll have a CLE Cabrio.
Haha everyone always says that! 😅
Ooo nice!
Ah nice! Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 😎
I would say Mercedes have got it spot on, it’s drives like an E-Class for sure 👌🏼 similar size too.
Can please tell the mount where you kept the camera pleaseeeeeeeeee love your videos😭😭🫶🫶🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hi! 🤓
Which mount were you referring to? 😊
I used several cameras in this video, so let me know which bit with the time stamp and I’ll let you know 👍🏼
@@npoleary hiiiiiiii!!!the mount that you used inside the car and the camera to pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Inside the car when stationary is a Canon EOS R6 Mk II pointing at me with an iPhone pointing at the screen.
However when driving, I have tried to use that camera before it takes too long to set up (plus it’s heavy. So I now use GoPro’s for in car shots when driving. Currently two GoPro Hero 12’s, Hero 10 and a Hero 8
Any more questions, fire away! 🤓
@@npoleary thank youuuuuu😙😙🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😁😁
@@npoleary but the mount???🤔🤔
Great review, can anyone tell me what the convertible mechanism is. A convertible roof specialist has told me that there are not very many convertibles, that have a decent mechanism. I don’t wish to spend my money on repairs. This car looks like my dream.
Thank you!
Really sorry with something that technical you might have to ask Mercedes staff at a dealer. I’m not actually even sales staff would know that although, I’m sure they’d be able to find out by asking technicians who work on the cars etc.
But bear in mind it’ll have a warranty from new so you’d be covered! 🙏
We waited for this and when we saw it, it wasnt enough for us to trade in our 2023 E450 cabriolet, even with the improve tech.
Currently, I have the E class Cab and I love it but I always keep my eyes open in the next possibility. Will the CLE Cab. have AMG versions. I haven’t seen anything on those.
Maybe! Haven’t heard anything from Mercedes to date but fingers crossed! That would be an awesome open top driving experience!
Thanks for watching! 🙏😎
That is an absolutely beautiful car, how good would that be? Driving down the freeway?
Pure bliss! 👊🏼
I really enjoyed driving this one! 👌🏼
The roof on the sl can be opened and closed by pressing the button twice
I am planning to buy Mercedes E convertible but I have been distracted by your video for CLE 🙈😀 don’t know what to do, would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions
Great boot design
The headroom is quite impressive with the top down compared to other cabriolets & convertibles brah
That colour - it's stunning - Is it Patagonia Red?
It sure is! You know your Mercedes colours! 🙏
I looked all over the used car market for all kinds of Mercedes, and red is rare. Imo, it's the best color.
In my old A207 E class cabriolet, you can pull (or push) the roof button once and let go without having to hold on to the button for the roof to work. Did you try that?
No sadly you have to keep the button pressed 👍🏼 it’ll stop halfway if you let go
What a stunning car
Yeah it does look the part! 🙏
You can play videos via an external hard drive using the usb port in the centre armrest
Nice 1 nick nice car mate
Thank you! Yeah looks awesome!
Thats a nice looking cabriolet
Yeah especially in red 👌🏼
Being tall is a relative concept. I am 6'4" and (in my family) I feel I am average height. I've a brother who is 6'8" which I consider tall. My dear departed mother was 6'1". That said/written - I prefer to fly business class as my legs are too long for all economy classes. Great cars and another great Nick O'Leary review - keep them coming!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video
Wish I could fly business class again, done it once and it was amazing 😎
Do you have a video of the ambient lighting in the night?
I have recorded one of a car I’ve reviewed recently but not sure if the angle is any good. It’s in the list of videos to edit! But if that isn’t any good I’ll attempt another one in my car soon! 😎
I saw the CLE Coupe. It’s like a sedan
Why isn’t it big like the other Mercedes coupe that we know
And you talked about replacement around 12:42 minutes
So does that means they won’t be making the big coupe’s anymore only just these sedans ?
👁👁 my ride…❤️ it..
my hair blowin in the wind
Good job the wind deflector is standard! You can choose!
My favourite feature is that paint which is challenging colour 😅
Was that on a BMW or something? I remember reading something about that…can you remember what car brand it was with?
Great to see a new model. However can you confirm the rumours that Mercedes are stopping production of the A class and GLA?
Thank you! I have heard this too, I might make a video about it one day if it is 100% true. But I’ve heard it from multiple places so…leaning to the side of being true! I believe I do know why as well…
What engine variant did you test drive in the video 300 or 450? Thanks
Ah got all of that in the description of the video :)
It was a CLE 200 Cabriolet for the last half of the video
@@npoleary thanks for your prompt reply. That’s great to know that even for CLE200 sounded pretty grunty. 👍
Hi Nick do you have a tutorial on that shape steering wheel for adaptive cruise control ?
Oh yeah of course
Loads of people really enjoyed that one, it’s on my channel posted earlier this year:
www.youtube.com/@npoleary/search?query=assistance%202024
I have a search function on my channel homepage so pop keywords in there and videos will usually pop up 🤓
@@npoleary Thank you so much I really appreciate you taking the time to respond. Love the channel keep the good work up 👍
No worries! I try to reply to everyone where I can 👍🏼
Glad you love the videos!
Is the wheel of set to the left like the coupe????
That didn’t jump out at me when I drove either car, did you notice something?
At what speed were you going when you closed the roof?
Ah ok hadn’t go to the point where you said 34 mph
Haha 😜
Yeah 34mph
I have just bought a new E class why did they not replicate the super screen?
Oh what put the SuperScreen in this?
Probably saving it for the higher up models
Wish I could get it in my A-Class 😅
Hi Nick…. Nice motor 🚗that CLE
It sure is! 👊🏼
I think it's really smart! 😎
Hi Nick … I was quite amazed when you managed to shut the roof on the move.. those Germans think of everything 😂
Haha while editing this video I was thinking to myself…someone’s going to call me out on the number of times that I’ve open and closed the roof in this video 😂
What is the model that you road tested Nick?
CLE 200 Cabriolet 👍🏼 for the on the road drive
What engine is it that your driving now in this video
All the details in the description of the video: Static Model: Pre-Production CLE
Model Test Driven: CLE 200 Cabriolet
Hello, are you driving a 300 or 450?
All details of the car shown are in the description in the video 🤓
Static Model: Pre-Production CLE
Model Test Driven: CLE 200 Cabriolet
Not trying to be controversial Nick but I much prefer the old one parked next to it. Love those classic convertible Mercedes and really don't like the interior of these new ones. Great video tho 👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Haha everyone has their own preferences! 🤓
I was offered a drive in one of them but sadly I’ve not ever really got into the classic car kind of thing. But I do respect and appreciate where they all came from and some of their designs do look really cool!👌🏼
No CLE 53 for the U.K.? Or not just yet ?
Not for cabriolets (as far as I’ve seen)
But I did film another car at this event too 👀
Keep an eye out on my channel soon! I’ve got a backlog of videos to edit! 😅
I personally love the CLE, growing up with Mercedes myself of course I’m going to bias 😂 much being said the CLE is definitely nowhere on the CE/E level , more of a CLK I would say
I change my AMGSLC43 to this .
Nice! 👌🏼
Keep the faith😂😂😂
So you think I should check out and review the BMW? I have featured them on my channel before too
@@npoleary I would love that!
Awesome! Well if I get my hands on one! I’ll be sure to make a review!

What’s a Cabriolet?
Mercedes way of saying Convertible 😎
Would this make a good buy if i am expecting a new born. Convenience of loading my newborn in the child seat with the roof down, perhaps?
The rear seats do have ISOFIX which is good
However probably best to check it out in person. If the car has electric seats, they do move forwards and backwards automatically once tilted which is good.
Any 2 door or 3 door will always be not as practical as like a 4 or 5 door for rear passengers but think about boot size as well, prams / pushchairs, shopping etc
I hate black headlights and black wheels. It looks garish and like a South American gangster's car. Chrome is much more classy.
Better to buy BMW Z4
Dood talks too fast had to watch it at .75 speed brah
looks very cheap, plastic, not like Mercedes! cheap tablets, piano black, fake plastic aluminum ? WTF ?
Another electronic junky.....
But thank you for the video
That’s alright 👍🏼
I mean it is a new model so it’s bound to have some elements of tech and new electronics in it
